If you are prepared to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table then you can be on your way to trying some of what is on their menu. Cheddar's is notoriously crowded all the time. It's not just this location either, its every Cheddar's I've ever been to. Every stinkin one. Once you've put your time in to get a table you can take a breather because your experience does get better. I really like that they always have a very full staff, you will see them whipping around tables almost crashing into each other to get people in and out. As for their food, ehh its ok. What is so appealing is the price tag on their very large servings. You can expect to pay around $8 per plate. Their menu is very much based on home cooking with things like sheppards pie, club sandwiches and good ol' chicken fried chicken. They do have some pretty good appetizers though. I am a fan of their warm spinach dip and their honey glazed bread is too good. My favorite reason coming here would have to be the "Painkiller" cocktail. I don't tend to have a thing for coconut but holy moly its awesome. There is a limit of 2 but you can easily bypass that by having someone else at your table order one and snake it out of their hands. It comes in a huge glass with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top. I enjoy it very much and require a dd when I leave. If you come at off hours, like Mondays at 2 in the afternoon, you don't usually see a wait. Just happened to be driving by and saw the "Now Open" sign and since I was out hunting for lunch the opportunity seemed perfect. I was surprised how busy they were at 1:30 but I'm going to say that because they had only been open since the day before it was the "newness" that was attracting the crowd. Rather than wait for a table I slid up to the bar where.... I waited.... and waited .... trying to make eye contact .... nope .... almost that time .... whew there we go! Typical chain restaurant menu with nothing that really jumped out but the lady next to me was eating a giant bowl of baked potato soup that looked really good so I opted to start off with a cup of that before my main choice of Shepard's pie. Well, that was the plan anyway.... they came within 30 seconds of each other and the soup had obviously been sitting there waiting for someone to bring it to me since it wasn't really hot (not cold, just not that fresh soup hot). Taste wise the soup was good... real bacon along with the cheddar on top. The Shepard's pie was hot and it too had good flavor to the beef and I liked the onion strings over the mashed potato. All in all a place I would take the family to (they had a good kids menu to choose from as well). I think once they work out the service kinks which can't be all that unexpected on day 2 of operation they'll do fine. Service .... y'all need to fix it. Based off of all the reviews, that is the only issue. Food was fine as always. It's hard to mess up cheese fries and chicken tenders. Upon arrival we were greeted by 4 hostesses which was nice, but then we were seated in a dirty booth. So we moved to a clean table and a server barked at us stating that we needed to check with the hostess stand because it's a different persons section. Next, for signing up for cheddars e-club, you could get free chips and queso. Our server told us we couldn't use it until 72 hours later which I know is BS BC I'm an avid Yelp user. I asked to speak to a manager who never showed up to our table. In addition, our server never came back to check on us or refill our empty cups. So today was the 4th time I've tried this location- and just like all the other times- it sucked. After sitting for 15 minutes at the high top bar table and being ignored, I went to the bar and asked the bartender if we had table service or if we should order everything from her. 5 minutes later a waitress came by. We placed our drink order food order and waited. Food came out somewhat timely, but the drinks took a while. When we got the food, my boyfriend got mashed potatoes instead of broccoli casserole with his steak. I had asked the waitress if there was loaded mashed potatoes and she said yes. She brought me regular potatoes with cheese butter and sour cream. Ok- not my idea of loaded, but whatever. When she brings the check- I see I'm charged .99 cents for bacon bits. No bacon bits were anywhere to be found but I'm assuming they were supposed to be part of the loaded potatoes... So all in all, table service sucks, food is ok, just inaccurate. Came tonight with my dad, waiter was inattentive. We ordered right away, but we had to explain twice because I think he didn't know the menu. I'm guessing he put in the food and figured we'd be fine until we got our food but we sat without drinks for awhile until I had to flag him down. My dad ordered a salad, which came after the meal. He also was missing a side, which he said was coming soon. Eventually we had a manager come who was splendid and fixed our food, and after a couple minutes the waiter came out with another plate of food which confused us, then charged us twice for it. I had to track down a different manager to fix it because he left again. He the stood at the table after we looked at our check until we paid, which was kindve awkward because he just stared at us until we finished talking about the check and handed him the money. The food itself was amazing, my salmon was great and my dad had no complaints on quality. We were told he just started (fanice I think was his name), though if someone is that neglectful, uncertain or just not experienced enough I would hope management would know and have him go through more training, or at least have him watched by a trainer in the beginning. The food at Cheddars is good majority of the time but I would have to agree with the customer service at this restaurant. Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! The waiter argued with me over some $3 croissants...seriously!! He was aggressive enough I asked to speak with the manager she did come over and apologize but she didn't seem concerned so I informed her I would be contacting the general manager. She let me know he was actually onsite brought him out and he was very accommodating. Especially not what I expected for family night out or out of a waiter who should be showing professionalism to customers. Extremely disappointed!! read more

I've been to Cheddar's a number of times and I agree there is pretty much always a wait. The food and drinks here are really good and the services is fair, but you can't beat their prices. I did the math and we (my husband, daughter and I) save almost 20-40% each time by eating here instead of similar American cuisine restaurants. I always get the queso with the free ground beef added or the New Orleans pasta (YUM!) and I try a different drink every time so I'm not really sure which is my favorite yet; I haven't tried the Painkiller though but I've heard great things about it...can't wait to try it! There's always a long wait, staff always seems short tempered & sassy, & it's always FREEZING!! This visit our waiter was amazing so maybe they are hearing our cries. I've tried multiple things here & ive never been disappointed (spasagna, chicken pot pie, nachos, onion rings, artichoke dip, flavored lemonades, margaritas, salmon and mango salsa, etc.) The buttered croissants are amazing. I came here for dinner with my girlfriend. (This was my first time) We were quickly seated as soon as we walked in. I ordered the grilled salmon with a side of a baked potato and macaroni. My salmon was cooked perfectly, the fork glided right through it! However the macaroni was cold and I didn't like the taste of it so I asked our waiter if I could have the broccoli casserole instead. This is their BEST dish! Definitely get this as one of your sides. My girlfriend ordered a steak medium well but it was given extra extra well done, she couldn't even get her fork through it. The portion sizes are also pretty small, so I would recommend getting an appetizer and/or dessert. Our waiter wasn't as attentive as I would have liked her to be, she only checked in every now and then despite it not being busy. Overall, I enjoyed my meal but was still left a little hungry because of the portion size and I think our waiter could have been more attentive. As always for a Cheddar's, parking was packed when we stopped by but somehow we lucked out and only had to wait just long enough for the staff to wipe down a booth before we were seated. Usually, there's a 10-20 minute wait around dinner but we just beat it...by about 3 minutes. By the time we sat down, the line to check in was starting to back up to door. Lucky us. So, typically, when I think of Cheddar's, I think of a clean, sit-down restaurant chain at a pretty good price. And to this effect, this location is no different. However, I now add in "obesity-inducing upsellers" to that list of descriptors based on our server's repeated recommendation of some of the unhealthiest options available. For instance, after his recommendation of chips and queso, onion rings, and fried mozzarella sticks, I asked if there were any healthier options. To which, he thought the Santa Fe Spinach Dip (which has spinach, sour cream, and FOUR types of cheese) was the best way to go. We went with the steamed edamame. Then, after choosing the side with my chicken sandwich...steamed broccoli...he recommended the Broccoli Cheese Casserole instead. It made me wonder if his cholesterol is any where close to being under 400. But, other than those few chuckle causing moments, the service, the food, the restaurant, and the value were just fine. Got here at 9:20pm, went and sat at the bar which was not very crowded. After waiting for about 10 minutes and realizing the two bar tenders were never going to make eye contact with us, we moved to a table. Plus the bar was sticky from not being cleaned very well. Also, when we got into a booth, the floor was very sticky as well. Need to get someone who knows how to clean the un-obvious! Upon sitting at a table by a prompt hostess, a young waiter promptly took our order. Upon receiving our appetizer, we waited until we were through to receive napkins we requested upon receiving the food. Out main entree was a club sandwich with no mayo. After waiting a short time we received our order, guess what, mayo was on it, go figure. The waiter advised he put no mayo in the computer, god help the cooking staff if they are as disorganized as the wait staff. I got some fries that were over cooked as was the appetizer, most of the food was over cooked. All in all, during my experience, the staff just seemed unorganized. They were all over the place, one lady brought a to-go box to our table before we got our meal. The staff seemed lost, no leadership or experience, not sure what the problem was. We have always had great service and food at Cheddar's. This past visit I had the grilled shrimp and steak combo with a baked potato and broccoli rice casserole. The steak was well-seasoned and cooked to the medium I had requested. The grilled shrimp were excellent- there was a slightly sweet glaze that was the perfect balance of sweetness to the savory seasoning and they were seven on a dish of their rice while I've always liked. The BRC came with a breadcrumb-like topping that probably could have been toasted /browned a little more, but was fine regardless. I also wish that their loaded baked potato came with bacon and chives, but b now I'm just being picky. :) Whatever you order, do yourself a favor and get an order of the croissants. We absolutely LOVE the croissants! You'll want a second order! ;) YUM. read more

Maybe it was just me but I came here with my boyfriend on a Saturday at 2pm when almost the whole restaurant was PACKED and received AMAZING SERVICE from CHANCE. He was super attentive and sooo nice to us it made our first time here even more amazing. We got seated quickly. Ordered within 5 minutes and received our meal exactly 9 minutes later (lol I know I'm weird). My boyfriend had the maple bacon chicken sandwich with macaroni. He rated it as 4/5. I tried it and it was really yummy and not dry at all. The bun was crisp and warm and the Mac had a bread crumb topping. I had the chicken pot pie and Caesar salad and let me tell you those croissants were absolute heaven and the pot pie was delicious I literally killed it not a crumb left. So 5/5. The salad was a plain one nothing special but still good! Nevertheless, for our first time and while I was especially cranky from not eating before hand it was a great meal and I'm grateful for the great server I was able to have! read more

Rarely will I wait 40 minutes to be seated. That's how long it took to be seated on my most recent visit here. Stupid Covid 19. I'm over it. Anywho, that said, I do enjoy coming to Cheddar's. I typically get one of two items - the chicken tenders or ribs. Sometimes I get a combo that includes both. Both are excellent and I highly recommend them. I am a big fan of the fact that they now bring 1 croissant per person to the table before your meal now with the option to purchase more if you would like. I highly recommend the spinach dip as a appetizer. As far as sides are concerned, they have good french fries, carrots, and the broccoli cheese casserole is amazing. If you still have room after eating all of that, I recommend getting the monster cookie for dessert. I never find my drink glass empty here. If mixed drinks are your speed, I recommend getting a Pain Killer. They will only serve you two and for good reason. They are huge. The staff here are friendly. Parking is ample. The restaurant almost had a chill ambience, but also seemed sort of dirty (crumbs on the "clean"table and something stuck on my glass that I had to scrape off and return). The drinks were just okay. The dessert was the only good thing I had there all night. My boyfriend and I shared a huge slice of cake which was surprisingly good. Then, AFTER our meal was complete, some group of hoodlums (there are lots of these here) started a riot over a roach that was crawling on their table. We left, immediately.
