I haven't been here for over 7 years. I didn't realize the food was so tasty!! The crossaints are Sooooo very delicious. They serve it with honey butter which is so fattening but so good. I had the new Orleans cajun pasta which was full of flavor. The sauce was rich and spicy..it had chicken, sausage, shrimp, big bell peppers and onions. The croissant is always good but this time it came out like it been run over a few times, still tasted good. Place loses a star due the cleanliness of the tables, it's always a sticky and have to ask the server to clean it before you can really sit at your table. After being without power for 5 days my boyfriend & I decided to dine at Cheddars on Westpark in Houston,Tx. When his drink arrived from the bar it was something black floating in it, we got the manager over and he said it was a leaf. Our food comes out and our ribs were cold. They remade the drink and it ONCE AGAIN had something black floating in it. It was a horrible dining experience and wasn't the first time that we visited and found items in our drinks at this location . I'm a restaurant manager as well and the manager did not handle the situation properly at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone . I honestly don't even want to give 1 Star. I went to Cheddar's for the first time last night and it was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I've been in the restaurant industry myself for 6years so I'm not one to try to complain because I understand things happen. However, everything here was UNACCEPTABLE. When I stepped inside to the host stand, the 2 girls standing there were just casually having a conversation amongst themselves as if I wasn't even there. So I had to acknowledge them! The black host with curly black and blonde weave looked at me so I told her a fabled for 3. She spoke very low to where I could barely even hear her. I was told my wait time would be 10 minutes. I car my number was taken I received a text 2 minutes later that my table was ready. Alright cool! So I go back up to the host stand. Once again not being acknowledged while the sane host continued to put her fingers in her mouth. DISGUSTING! So since I was being ignored by her I go over to a Girl I seen with an iPad to let her know I rechecked a message that my table was ready. Once being seated, we waited sooooo long to be greeted by our server. I'm talking 15+minutes. I should have just left then but I didn't. When our server finally decided to come to the table his greet was very poor and he didn't even tell us his name. We ordered our drinks and then he walked away. It took him so long that when he did get there we already knew our entire order. But anyway, when he came back I have him my entire order including the appetizer. Which I shouldn't have. I ordered an appetizer of the cheese bites because I figured it would be fast! After waiting for about 35 minutes for our appetizer to arrive and my server not coming to the table, I had to get another server to check on our cheese bites. She did and it cane out right after I told her. The cheese bites were COLD. ALONG WITH THE COLD MARINARA SAUCE! Again, it took forever for our sever to check on us. And before I could even send the appetizer back, our entrees came out right after. Smh. I told the waiter about our appetizer and to take it back. I didn't want it anymore because at this point we have our food. THe waiter told me the first time that he was bringing a manager to the table. Instead of a manager we received another order of bites. Smh I told him I did not want them and he had the nerve to have an attitude. Told me he would grab a manger once again. We each ordered the ribeyes. And can you believe they weren't even hot!!!! Barely even warm !! So I'm waiting on a manager STILL. my husband ate his because everyone was hungry. So he ate it quick just to even eat. And the steak was more like a 9oz instead of 12 because there was sooo much fat. My little brother barely ate his also. And I only ate a slice of mine. A SLICE OF IT!! I once again had to get ANOTHER SERVER TO DO OUR SERVERS JOB. long story short, there were 2 tables that came after us that received their food before we did. The manager came by forever later and didn't even help much. Nor seemed as if he even really cared. He only removed the cheese bites and put a "discount" on the ribeyes. Which is a joke because I only ate my baked potato BARELY because I didn't even get the extra topping I asked for. The broccoli was good, however. I would NEVER come back here again. If you do go there I would suggest asking for a girl by the name of Alyssa I believe her name was. earlier in the day i called to make a reservation and was told i am not allowed to that i have to come in. i go online and it lets me make one. i get there and im waiting about 25 minutes to be seated but im not complaining because it was busy. we began to be seated and our sever didn't show up for about 15 minute, when she did show up she didn't greet us she just asked if we'd like anything to drink. she left came back 10 minutes later with our drinks and we began to order. our food came and i had noticed i had plastic in my alfredo. by the time i noticed she was gone so i had to call her back in the kiosk. she comes back and i explain what is going on she specifically says " ok i will take that comp your order and get it remade" i said ok thank you. i get my food back and its cold like they didn't remake it but took the plastic out. at this point i just wanted to pack my food and go. the bill came and i was charged for the alfredo when she said she was comping it. i had no problem with paying for the order but she specifically said i wasn't going to have to pay. when i stressed that to her she had an attitude and walked away i called the manager over and he said he will train her on that but i still have to pay. again i had no problem paying i just think that shouldn't have been said if that wasn't the case. read more

This was my first time at this Cheddars location. The waiter was good. The wait was too long for our food. I ordered the Bourbon glazed shrimp with rice and broccoli + a side house salad. The shrimp were pretty small and tasted just good. The rice was ok and the broccoli had no flavor but was cooked just the right texture. The buttery honey croissants were the best ever! Delicious and soft! My sons orders the Cookie Monster dessert-icecream sundae over a giant chocolate chunk cookie. It was delicious and they devoured it. Then we had to wait 20 minutes to get our drink ORDER, only because I got up to ask the hostess who was our waiter. We told the young lady after 10 minutes when she returned and it took her 15 to 20 minutes more to bring ranch, buffalo sauce and tarter sauce. Be sure to check your bill twice, our server Leslie seemed very nice but also a little suspicious. We were charged 100% more than the cost of our actual meal when we went. Initially, we were charged for a salad we never received and when we asked her to adjust it she was more than happy to but then brought back the swiped credit card without an itemized revision and began to talk a lot. My fiancé had initially reviewed the bill and when the other came back he passed it to me to sign while she kept talking. I thought the bill was high for the two of us, but I hadn't seen the initial one and didn't know the pricing or have an itemized receipt. I should have asked then, but instead I trusted the woman gave 20% tip and continued on. As we walked out, I commented to my fiancé how the place seemed really over priced for what it was, then we realized nothing added up. I went back in to request the itemized receipt and she immediately said oh I'm so happy to see you I realized I closed out the wrong person but realized when you were leaving so I'm glad you noticed and came back (note: she didn't even try to stop us when we were leaving or try to catch us in the parking lot and would have done nothing if I didn't come back). When she brought the revised bill, she had the nerve to ask if she would still get to keep the initial 20% tip from the artificially high bill... needless to say, that was a no. I want to believe it was an honest mistake, but it didn't feel that way. I feel like she started hovering and talking incessantly at the end to distract us. Furthermore, if she truly went back to edit our bill and remove the salad, it would be hard to get into a bill that was twice the price without noticing--- and when it was revised, it would have come with a new itemized receipt. read more

Staff very unprofessional , My fiancé and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and we went to the bar are where they have "open seating" . We sat for 15 minutes and no one came to serve us , so then we moved to the actual bar and sat there and waited to be served and the staff continued their silent treatment and never offered us a menu or water they all just sat at ten Togo station and at the bar top talking amongst themselves . Cheddars REFUSED our service!! We came in with a party of 10 adults and 2 children with one baby. It was my brother's birthday. We asked for a table and when they asked us how many people we said one extra person was going to come an hour later because he didn't get off of work till late. They told us they'd have a table shortly. We waited thirty minutes and were never seated while other big parties were seated as well. They even refused our little girl water when we asked because she was thirsty!! My brother is also on OXYGEN so he can't stand for very long. When we started to get impatient, a server from the back said they couldn't seat us until the other person showed up. Wth!!! So we're supposed to wait an hour for one person so show up?!? And the front desk woman was SOOOO rude!! She had a major attitude and talked to us like she was ready to fight!! Completely awful service and rude employees!! We were seated right away, about 2/3 minutes we were greeted by our waitress. She was very nice, she noticed my boyfriend was sick and brung him a tea with honey and lemon no charge. Desert Cookie Monster was good just took over 20 to be brought to our table. Just take it to go. There's room for improvement on the service I see potential for a four star restaurant. Ordered the "beer battered" shrimp, baked potato, and seasoned rice. Wife ordered the 8 oz "steak" with baked potato and mac n' cheese. I use quotation marks because that's what we figured we'd get. Wife's plate arrives and the steak looks like a turkey burger patty. Wasn't medium rare, and not a single drop of juice came out when she cut it. I know this isn't a steak house, but I'd like something that resembles a steak when I order one. Shrimp seemed like it was just breaded normally and tossed in the fryer with too much pepper on it. The seasoned rice tasted like those dollar Knorr rice packets at the store. They say seasoned, but they just throw random veggies on bland rice, basically.Baked potatoes were cold, as were our plates. Figure they had been ready a while and just sat there. Waiter would disappear for long periods of time, leaving us to stare at empty glasses. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more
