My fiancé really wanted Cheddar's so we decided to go tonight. We tried to go a month ago and looked online and everywhere and said they closed at 9, and it was barley 8. When we got there no one was at the host stand and it looked like they had already closed the restaurant for the night except for Togo. So we decided to try again tonight. We got there about 7:20 and were told there would be a 45 minute wait even though there were only a couple of parties ahead of us but she said it actually probably wouldn't be that long and it didn't, only had to wait about 15 minutes which was great! We were sat and when the server came by to get our drink orders we were ready to order. I ordered an appetizer and NEVER got it. I never saw him to ask about it before our food came out. Once he dropped off our food he never came back and checked on us. Both of our drinks were empty for over 15 minutes and we both needed some condiments to go with our meal. I went ahead and finished eating so that my food wouldn't get cold. He finally came by and brought us refills, and my fiancé was almost full, so when he asked for salt and pepper he barley ate any bites. This location is a MESS! I went here to celebrate my son's birthday with my family. There was about 10 of us. The manager told me he could accommodate my party and the wait would be 30 - 40 mins. Well....LIES!!!...we waited for over an hour, had to sit at separate tables because after all that waiting, he CLAIMED he COULD NOT seat us at the same table.....I don't believe this because I had been there in the past with a large party and we were able to be seated together. Service was mediocre and the ladies restroom was HORRENDOUS and FILTHY! I really give them -1 stars but that's not an options on here. Do better please. read more

There is nothing made from scratch here. Except for the drinks. The platter I got was key west chicken and shrimp and some canned pineapple/tomatoes/chiles/onions salsa, sleeves over uncle bens rice and 4 darn shrimps. WACK!!! Worse I've ever tasted. This was our first time trying Cheddar's near Wheatland and Hampton. We had the sweat heat chicken and shrimp, and the bourbon fish (I think, could have been blackened). Our food took a long time but it was not a busy evening. The service was o.k. but she seemed swamped with the few tables. My strawberry lemonade tasted o.k. I could tell it was a syrup mixed with minute made and not fresh lemonade. I found this ironic because "scratch kitchen" is in the name. So why one star, because my sweat heat chicken was horrible. The chicken tasted like rubber, I thought it was me, but I had my wife try it and she thought the same thing. The meat was not chew-able. That's actually talent, making meat like that. The sauce that was on the chicken was not made fresh, it was a concentrate of some kind because the tart level was so strong. This place is a waste of money. I told the waitress about the food before I paid, I did not think it was right to pay for the chicken, she apologized about the food. However, my bill still showed the chicken on there. I have been coming to this Location for YEARS! Tonight was the worse experience I have had with Cheddars. They sat my wife and myself in the bar area. Our waiter came up quick but after that service was non existent. Took 12 minutes from her saying I would get a refill till I actually received it. Took close to 15 to actually get mustard (and a small cup of ranch) for my hamburger and fries. It was not busy yet and other waiters were all standing around watching tv. We noticed our waiter, Norma, would talk to other staff while waiting for these simple items. It took longer to get our drinks and condiments than our actual order. I love Cheddars and have many fond memories at this location, but tonight left a very sour taste in our mouths. read more

Waited 15 mins at the bar trying to get the bartenders attention so I could get a menu. The whole time he was complaining to customers about how he needed to leave to pick up his son. Well, where to start... Our server looked like he would rather be somewhere else. We asked for limes and he brought our tea with 4 slices of lemon instead. Ok...no biggie. Our honey butter croissants were cold, our server was pushy, the table was sticky too. Our food arrived in a timely manner, it wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either. Our server didn't bring a single refill, we had to hunt him down for to go boxes and our check. When he brought the slip to sign he stood over my shoulder to wait to pick up his tip. This place is always a little wacky. From the terrible service to dirty tables and floors this place if nothing else is predictable. If you like waiting 20 minutes for drinks and never getting a refill then you have found your place. This place is on a wait on a Monday night at 8pm when the entire restaurant is dead. I can't understand how this location is so terribly managed. If anyone in management reads this I greatly urge you to become more involved in the success of your restaurant. Let me preface this by admitting that weI did not actually eat at this location. The rating is solely based upon the cleanliness of the establishment. The floor (carpet) appeared that it had not been cleaned / swept / or vacuumed in quite some time. It was literally covered in food and debris from numerous days of patrons. The table we were seated at was dirty and sticky. The seat had grease stains, bits of food on it, and various tears in the covering. My husband ordered the buffalo chicken wraps which is what he always gets at other locations. I ate at this place today and it was really good. Not to say I haven't ate here before but my experience today was nice. The service was good from beginning to end. My sister new the young lady at the front- (from aways ago) who showed us to our table. Then Kevin- our waiter was nice and attentive. He took our order with a smile and took our checks with a smile. This is the second time I've had bad service at this location. Lunch is always a time crunch so we ordered our food along with our drinks as soon as we got seated. 35 minutes later no salads or food were ready so I requested our plates to go. When the food was finally boxed up & ready I checked it to make sure it was correct and the food was cold. Not luke- warm but cold as if it had been ready for a long while. Unacceptable. I do not understand why I love this particular Cheddar's so much, but I do. Maybe because it is a bit hood but with nice servers. Maybe it is because we can go in with huge parties and they never make us wait to be seated. Maybe it is just because they stick to what they are good at- high caloric food. Either way, I do like this place and although I may not hit it up as a regular spot, I never end up having a bad experience here. I will caution that the desserts can be hit or miss (although you can't go wrong with the Cookie Monster) and the portions are rather huge, so be open to splitting your entree with a friend. read more

I really like this place from the enivorment, to the food. It is really nice, and relaxing.

Terrible service from the minute you walk in. The host have an attitude, specially when you ask for the wait time. The serves all seem to be incredibly busy, even when it's practically empty. And anything that you request that wasn't done when they asked you, seems like the most inconvenient thing in the world. I probably saw my waiter 3 times, and when we asked for intensity they didn't even bring the ones that are rolled up in napkins. They brought silver wear on a napkin you can get from the restroom. Cheddars is one of my favorite spots , we usually go to the one in greenville but we decided to stop by this location because it's closer to us.This certain location sucked. The service was horrible, i ordered a piña colada and they brought it to me when i had already asked for my tab. We asked for to-go boxes and they brought us little once we asked the lady if they had bigger once and she didn't even bother to check and just told us no. They clearly did have some because another waiter brought us the regular size boxes . The floor was so dirty it was slippery! Overall it ruined our evening! read more
