This isn't my 1st time going to this Cheddars & it's really great to see that they are still consistent with their service & food. Our hostess was attentive & we appreciated that...my friends just would have preferred their to go boxes when 1st requested. I had the fried shrimp platter with green beans & a house salad. I must say that the salads came out pretty quick. & there was enough time in between for us to actually talk and then they brought out our main dishes.. i loved my shrimp because it was coated with a panko-like batter & the shrimp was super tender. The green beans always resemble the ones from my grandmother's garden (which is why I always order them). Unfortunately, they always seem to come out room temperature. Next time I'll just ask to make them extra hot. The salad was just a salad. The ambience was actually pretty calm & made for a nice lunch space. Cheddars is always a fun spot to grab a bite to eat. I will say that at this location the bar can get a little rowdy, so if you are looking for a peaceful meal, don't sit in the bar area. On this evening, I was looking for something easy on my stomach. I'm not a soup person, but hands down any day if the week, I'll have a bowl of the potato soup with the honey butter croissants. It's flavorful, filling and just yummy. We went on Mother's Day with my two 90+ years old parents. Our waitress, Alyssa, was great. We were on the waitlist, and we were seated right away. Then we waited almost an hour for our meals. That wouldn't have been so bad, crowd taken into account, but the restaurant was FREEZING cold! I asked for the manager or supervisor, to ask for the temp to be adjusted, but the supervisor walked right by us. I hope my parents don't get sick, and we won't ever be back. Another exciting review just for you! We normally visit during the lunch hour, but our daily routine has changed a bit. Honestly, my husband loves Cheddars. I just like to see our best manager, Lisa, here just to chat and have fun. So today, we came at 6ish and the only seating was in the general restaurant area. Ok. We just wanted to get out and again, he loves this place. So, I focus on service and food. We aren't rushed. We were given the pleasure of being sat in Jasmine's area. If I could tell you and make you realize that Jasmine is one of the best servers we have had ever in any outings, you might catch the itch to visit. Sweet, funny, attentive and everything that makes a night worth going out worth while. Hubby had chicken tender platter with red beans and rice and corn. I had a veggie plate. The salad was subpar, but I don't mind. Don't eat a lot so I just ate my broccoli cheese casserole and carrots. Brought the potatoes home for my kids. Had a cheddar bit appetizer which was just ok. Stopped in while waiting to pick up my brother from work, I was early and figured I'd grab a bite. Ordered the Smokehouse Burger and the Buffalo Chicken Wrapper to go, and had a margarita on the rocks while I waited at the bar. The food was solid and the service was cool -- everyone I interacted with was polite and friendly. My only note is that the restaurant could've been a bit cleaner. There were a few spills and dirty tables that seemed to sit for a while before anyone got to them. Overall, good food, good vibes, just wish the space felt a little more cared for. read more

Bread is too addictive and you have to calm yourself down before you get you actual meal. Chicken Fried Steak is really good with broccoli cheese casserole, and mash. This was my first time ever to visit and find at a Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. We arrived as the restaurant opened for business for the day. We were promptly greeted and seated a a both. Our server was Ms. Shamekia, with a bubbly personality and warm smile. She served out drinks and took our order and served us honey butter croissants. We had the chips and chips $9.49 and Dijon chicken and mushrooms on a bed of rice with two sides, $14.79. The food was very tasty and good size portions. I ate at the bar and ordered a shot of Patron and a burger with no bun. The bar tender didn't ask me if I wanted fried or something else with the burger. So when she put the ticket in the glass in front of me, I got her attention and asked for a house salad instead of fries. Once the burger came, I ate a few bites and since I never received the Patron I asked her for the ticket with no Patron on it. She brought ma a ticket for $11.60 and I gave her my card... when she brought my card back and the receipt, she gave me a ticket that said $14.60 with no itemized receipt (just the cc receipt). I told her it was wrong and she said "let me go get my manager to reverse the payment" If she wasn't so busy socializing, perhaps she would have gotten the order correct. I went to this location with 2 other friends. The food was good, the waitress was nice and friendly. However, this place was filthy, there was food, paper, crumbs all over the floor, it appeared no one had vacummed for days. I went to the women's bathroom to wash my hands, it was filthy also, trash overflowing toilet paper on the floor of each stall. I wrote to corporate several days ago and have not received any reply to the complaint I emailed. I am not sure if they care about the unsanitary conditions that existed in their establishment . Went on yesterday day 08/14/2025, and ordered spinach dip and their was a bug in my food, I advise the server and she walked away while me and my friend was talking . Visiting the city of Dallas so this was our first visit to Cheddars. 4 people in our party on a Thursday evening. We were sat at a table immediately. Restaurant appeared full as it was around 7:30. Our server was Jill. It only took her a minute to come to our table. She brought our drinks then we ordered food. I thought the menu had a nice variety. We were hungry so no time for apps. Fried fish and shrimp, ribeye well done, chicken pot pie and salmon. I didn't realize I was missing one of my sides with the fish and shrimp till half way through the meal. Jill stayed occupied at other tables before finally bringing my slaw. The ribeye was medium well but that was fine. Juicy and seasoned well. Pot pie, delicious. Salmon was great. Overall a great meal. Probably need to do some pre-bussing. Table got crowded with dirty plates. I'd recommend and come again! read more

One Star Is Too Generous. I arrived at this restaurant around 9:20 PM, well aware that they didn't close until 10. You'd think showing up with 40 minutes to spare would be enough time for a quick bite, but apparently not at this establishment. Upon reaching the host stand in a restaurant that was nearly empty we were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait. Why? Who knows. There were plenty of open tables and no sign of a rush, yet we were immediately discouraged from dining in. When I offered to just sit at the bar instead, the host quickly shut that down too, claiming the bar and to-go orders were closing at 9:30. At that point, it became obvious: they simply didn't want us there. Not only was the service unwelcoming and dismissive, but the staff went out of their way to make sure we felt like a burden rather than guests. The final blow? As we walked out disappointed, hungry, and confused, the host and a server laughed and made snide comments behind our backs. Nothing says "we don't value your business" quite like being mocked on your way out. Save your time, your money, and your dignity go literally anywhere else. This place clearly prioritizes closing early over offering even the bare minimum of hospitality. read more

I should have left then the smell was stale and didn't smell like tasty food at all. My friend had to use the bathroom and she said they were horrible. It started with seating at 6:30...We had a large group for a birthday party, we were seated pretty quick, however the area was in the back and it was very warm (AC must have been on 88). Drink orders taken by the very friendly waitress early, my margarita arrived 15-20 minutes later and was handed to the wrong person. It was not really cold and tasted terrible. Ordering dinner service was not done until we had been there almost 1 hour and food was brought out 45 minutes later. Grilled white fish/Lemmon Pepper was salty and had maybe a 1/2 spoonful of rice. The Caesar salad lettuce was almost wilted (I was just hungry enough to eat some of it). and the dressing tasteless. We finished what we ate around 8:45 (very little consumed). This was just not a good experience, the amount of time we were there 2.5 hours for dinner, food and drink quality drink sub-par at the most. This is unfortunate for this location, we usually go to the Garland location and always leave satisfied. The service was horrible. The waiter was unreliable and seemed to be under the influence. We sat for 45 minutes only for someone to come out and say there was a mishap in the kitchen. I'm sure there wasn't, the waiter never took the orders properly. We ended up waiting an additional 30 minutes after being told our food would be fast tracked but it wasn't. Man the food is so good! Our server was amazing and attentive. I have a 4 based on our server and food. If it was scored on the hostess it would be a 1 man o man. She didn't smile or speak or listen or care or have any customer service or inflection or emotion! I don't expect much, but if you are the hostess and the 1st person seen you should at least respond back when we say hi with a hello. My husband and I walked in and both said hello, and just a blank stare! Maybe we work in then kitchen if you don't like people or talking or smiling or responding anyways, we will be back for sure. I read the reviews as I pulled in to park and got so nervous to dine here! I will agree, the host we had wasn't trying do more than simply seat us. I didn't hear her say anything. When we sat at the table, there was still some dirt, drink stains and straw wrappings on the floor (I thought, damn the reviews were right so far!). But our server (Ariel) came quickly, got our croissants to us and took our drinks. Another five minutes later she took our order (which took about 25 minutes to come out). I thought it was the typical cheddars experience! Also, the manager came buy twice to check on us, as did our server. Hoping this can be the experience of others when eating here :) read more

Worst Cheddars in the metroplex hands down not sure if that's the rating they are going for but it sure does seem like it. It wasn't clean the table was so dirty and the floor I had to ask twice to get it cleaned up. The floor had several spills and was slippery and the bathroom very disgusting. The meal was all cold and I definitely got sick but I can't tell you what did it. Either the spinach dip or fish who knows but what I do know is I will never in life visit this location again. I just revised a Cheddars () today and tried to redeem a credit that was given to me due to a couple of missing items I discovered once I returned home from a previous visit. I explained the issue to the manager on duty and was told it was not them and I must have gotten the credit from a store over 10 miles away and had to pay for the entire order as if the missing items were free for me to lose. In short, if I promise something to someone that they paid for and do not deliver it blatant stealing, and I would end up discussing it with the police after getting a free ride to jail. However, this company stole from me, and I wanted to make everyone aware of this so that they check their order before leaving or expect that they are giving Cheddar's a donation whether they wanted to or not. Be careful Chaddar's food is great it's just their staff that sucks. You may want to get your food elsewhere. Good luck. read more

I stopped visiting this Cheddars long time ago due to the inconsistency of their disgusting food and lack of decent service. We really wanted some cheddars and didn't feel like driving to the one in Irving. It was a tragic experience once again but this time no food at all. We ordered food at 4:15, and food was supposed to be ready at 4:45. We get there right when our food is suppose to be ready. Very hard to get a to go parking spot but we got one. We should have known to run a way and ask for refund upon first approach when a young lady came out multiple times confused and giving people wrong orders. We knew it was busy and tried to be understanding. She came to our car at around 5:15, and asked us our Order name. She never came back and we waited another 20 mins. We finally went in and waited another 15mins. Over an hour passed since we ordered our food. We asked again and we told them we have been waiting for over an 1hr, and they said another 45 minutes and we need to wait in our car. That is beyond ridiculous so we asked for a refund, got our refund receipt and left. At 6:45 we received a text that our remake request was complete and our food was ready. I was like this has to be a joke. Did they think people would really wait over 2 hrs for their food?? I know those workers be making extra food and taking food home, and I know I better get my refund in my account. At this point they need to give up and close this despicable establishment. I placed an order online for Cheddar's located in Dallas @ 39640 Lyndon B Johnson Freeway. When I picked up my food I had food that I did not order and the food I did order, I didn't receive. When I spoke with a manager (Hernan) at that location, he was rude. He tried to insist that I placed the order put my online receipts said something totally different. The manager thought he was going to force me to keep the food but I explained to him, I was not because I didn't order it! Even after taking the food back there was no real compassion about the situation with management and Hernan offered nothing for my inconvenience. Double check your order before you leave and make sure they're giving you everything you paid for because even after correcting my order, I still end up paying for something I didn't get. Our experience lasted all of 30 min from the phone call to see how long the wait was until we left after ordering our waters, this restaurant doesn't even deserve one star, it deserves to be shut down! We called and asked how long the wait was and the hostess claimed they "couldn't give out that information because it changes so frequently, but that it was busy." Upon walking into the restaurant and speaking with the hostess in person, the wait was only 10-15 min, but she of course denied what was said over the phone was anything that would come out of anyone's mouth. Strike 1. Once it was our turn to be seated, the hostess tried sitting us down at multiple tables, but all were a complete pigstie. Finally, she sat us down at a table that only had food underneath the table, and not all over the tabletop. We asked her if someone would be able to clean up the food that would have been at our feet and she said she would get someone to come clean it up. 5 min passed before the manager came to ask us why we were standing by our table and if everything was ok. We explained the situation and he said he would get someone to come clean it, who ended up being the hostess. Guess she's not a fan of cleaning and was intent on letting us sit at a dirty table. Strike 2. After the table was cleaned we again waited for over 5 min for our server to come ask us for our drinks. After looking around, we discovered it wasn't just our table and the immediate vicinity that was dirty, it was the whole bar and restaurant. So if out front is a pigpen, how does the back look in the kitchen? Strike 3 and we left. The manager and all staff should be ashamed that they let this place get so run down. This was NOT the cheddar's experience we were looking for. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and if you absolutely are starving? Just go to the McDonald's down the street, it's probably much cleaner. I'd bet on a port-a-potty being cleaner than some of the tables at this place. read more

Came here on a Saturday night with my family. Cheddars is always a favorite of ours because they have decent food for very low prices. All of the food came out hot and delicious. The service did have a few hiccups. The waitress forgot to bring the straws, my sister's side salad was not delivered until the end of the meal, my toddler's drink was brought out in a glass rather than a kids cup, & The floor needed sweeping. None of these issues would automatically warrant a negative review (independently), but combined it was irritating. The waitress did try to rectify the situation by providing us with a free order of croissants; which was appreciated. Overall I would say that this establishment is average. Not great... Not terrible... read more
