I come here every once in a while and the food is always good. This time I say at the bar and there was no wait. The customer service was amazing and it took less than 10 minutes to receive my food. My margarita was delicious and I have no complaints!

This visit was pretty good. I sat at the bar and was welcomed with a menu right away. The bartender was helpful and made sure I was taken care of, though it seemed like she could have used more help during such a busy time. Overall, I'd definitely return soon.

There are plenty of parking spaces. We took our grandmother to dinner to celebrate her 86th birthday. We all enjoyed our meals. There was a group of children (that looked to be pre-teens) behind us throwing food and ice. Another patron spoke up and said something to them because she and her mother were eating. She asked for the manager and he came out saying he didn't like the way she spoke to the kids. Not once did he or any of the staff ask the kids to stop. We agreed with her. I wouldn't have like to have something thrown in my hair or plate because they didn't know how to act.

Their grilled shrimp Alfredo was pretty good, last time I had their New Orleans pasta and it was not up to my liking. Their honey butter croissants are so good, it is a must when you go there, I believe they are complimentary but if you want more I think there is a charge but it's definitely worth it. Steak was also good, it was season and cooked perfectly, can't go wrong with ordering a steak! Prices are very reasonable and affordable. Service was amazing, Ti was our server & she was awesome!! There was about 16 of us and the space is very accommodating to large groups (but you'll separated if you're ok with that). This was my 2nd time here, a good place to check out if you're in the area!

If you're hungry and are not wanting fast food, cheddars suffices. Friendly staff, pretty decent food especially for the price. Don't get me started on the honey glazed croissants! So good!

The food experience was great. This is a hometown favorite for me and my boyfriend's first time trying. Our server was Audrey and she was very efficient and kind. We both ordered alcoholic drinks. I got the Tiki and he got a Dos Equis and The Classic Mule. Audrey brought out the two complimentary croissants with honey butter sauce and this set the tone for what we will expect for great food for the rest of the evening. I ordered the key west chicken and shrimp and he ordered the Country Fried Steak. We did not need a to go box because the food was absolutely delicious. We both substituted one of our sides for a salad which was .99 cents. The building is pretty large and spacious. There is outdoor seating available.

Was told the fried chicken and steak did not come with gravy..

Got there at 5pm and waited almost 2 hours for dinner. We were celebrating my mom's birthday but you wouldn't have known since no one really paid us any attention. Our waiter only waited on 5 tables. One which left when we got there but you would've guessed they were waiting on half the restaurant. We already knew what we wanted when we sat so we ordered right away. Still waited about 30 minutes for food to come out. Then had to wait longer for a couple more plates. Had to ask for straws repeatedly. Asked for napkins but never got them. We order two order of double country fried chicken, an order of country fried steak, salmon, kids tenders, kids burger, 2 orders of sirloin, and a Monte Cristo. 2 painkillers and 2 margaritas. Firstly, I'd like to make it a point this is not our first time at a Cheddars. The croissants were crunchy. The two sirloins steaks were totally different cuts. One was actually a sirloin. The other looked more like a thin ny strip if even and sooo overcooked. One of my kids, who is far from picky, didnt want to eat his burger because he said it was so hard. I checked and the burger patty was solid and dry! Out of respect, I asked the waiter if our country fried dishes came with gravy because NONE of them came with gravy. I KNOW THEY DO. He flat out told me they did not come with gravy and said he can get some. The "gravy" he brought out was not gravy. It was chunky and I had a penne pasta in mine! I started wondering if he'd scoop someone's leftover into my plate. I did not finish it. My husband and brother did not touch their gravy. It was overall so disappointing. I tried to not let it ruin our night so I chose not to complain because reading these past review it would've been pointless anyway. Something needs to be done with the quality and service of this place because I haven't had such a bad experience from a chain restaurant in a long time. I would've never expected it from a Cheddars.

Wait staff is pretty lackluster but the food and the value are best of all the big chains. Love the country fried steak, best in the world. Better than your mamas or any mom and pop

The best thing about Cheddar's were the creative, pretty cocktails on steroids. The food was mediocre at best.

If you like black pepper, then this is the place for you. Not much to eat if you don't. I don't recommend eating there

The service here is a little weird and jarring at first. I hadn't gone more than 10 feet through…read morethe door when I was asked "What'll you have to drink?" You just have to know the procedure, but it wasn't only me, a Northerner whose brain hadn't yet fully recalibrated for the local accent. Locals were confused too. Procedure is this: tell them your drink preference (I had water), pick up a tray, put it on the counter, pick out a main, three sides, a dessert, slide it down to the register, pay, and take it to your table. At that point do you begin eating? No! Remove your items from the tray and they come by and pick it up. Now begin! You may be thinking "Soup Nazi" from Seinfeld but I assure you it didn't feel that way. Just the quirky way they run the place. The waitress did warm up after I was there a while, came over to ask where I was from, etc. And to try to convince me to come back for breakfast! This is cafeteria style, with everything prepared ahead of time and kept warm on steam trays. So how do they keep that fried chicken so crunchy and delicious? Perhaps the best I've ever had, the batter so crunchy you could probably hear me eating from another room, assertively peppery, the large leg and thigh pieces perfectly cooked and juicy. (White meat also available.) My sides were lima beans, turnip greens, and yams. The highlight was the yams: super sweet but not in a bad way, balanced by good seasonings. The beans were fine, a bit salty. The only disappointment were the turnip greens, too finely chopped and overcooked. The portion sizes were decent. Also included is corn bread. Two choices: baked or fried. Never heard of fried so I tried that. Interesting but a little chewy and not so much corn flavor; next time I'd get the baked. Finishing this rather large lunch was a challenge for me but I managed, while taking in the local ambience. I saved the dessert for later. Dessert? Yes. I was also asked on ordering what I wanted for dessert. The only one that appealed was the red velvet cake (the others were a cobbler and bread pudding) so I got that. I assumed it was included but when I paid I saw it was not. $4; no big deal. It didn't look that good, a thin 1 inch slice tightly shrink wrapped on a paper plate. Looks were deceiving. The first time I actually liked red velvet cake, a light crumbly texture and cream cheese frosting that tasted of more than sugar. With the amount of frosting this tiny slice was quite filling and I'm glad it wasn't larger. All this for a little over $21. I think this was including tip but I'm not positive. Either way, great deal!

Just go, don't even question it, go. Best little diner, great food, amazing service, and fast!read more
