I called back to the restaurant to complain and the manager on duty took my name and address and said she would mail me a gift certificate for my incomplete and cold order...however, I never received it. Nonetheless, I decided to try again, but this time, when I called in my order, I shared that my past two visits were subpar, and I expected a different outcome this time. I visited Midland Commons with my sister and our two young boys (ages 2 and 5) yesterday so they could safely play in the grass area. We grabbed food from Tommy G's and intentionally chose a table in the center area, under the tent, so we could actively watch them as they ran back and forth to eat. Almost an hour after sitting down, a manager from BMerrells (Sylvia) approached us and told us the table "belonged" to their restaurant and that we needed to move. That would have been easier to respect if there were any signage or indication of reserved seating, but there wasn't. Not only that, we were not near their entrance. We were in the middle of a space literally called "Commons." As parents of small children, moving further away from the grass area wasn't just inconvenient. It was an unrealistic risk to our children's safety. When my sister asked for a menu, Sylvia said yes, but instead of returning herself, she went inside and sent a server out. That alone set the tone. We went ahead and ordered the drink of the month and chicken tenders. The wait was long enough that I considered canceling the order entirely, and when the food finally arrived, it did not justify the delay. The tenders looked and tasted like something straight out of the frozen aisle. What's most disappointing is that this entire situation could have been handled differently. A simple, respectful explanation or even visible signage would have gone a long way. Instead, the approach felt dismissive and unnecessarily territorial over a shared public space. If tables are exclusive to BMerrells, that needs to be clearly communicated. Otherwise, don't create tension in a family-friendly environment where people are simply trying to enjoy the space, especially when children are involved. This was my first experience with BMerrells, and it will absolutely be my last. I'll also be following up with property management, because there's a way to handle situations like this and this wasn't it. read more

Since I am pretty new to Yelp, I will be writing about the number of times I have eaten at B'Merrells. In terms of my review, I have never eaten at the new Midland location since it moved. However, I loved this restaurant before the move. I have only been to B'Merrells once when dining in. It was cozy and felt home-like. The restaurant was a tad small, which is why I believe they upgraded. However, the server was fast and kind. From my experience, though, I see B'Merrells as a takeout restaurant. I love their nachos, and I always have it as my main meal. I only usually get the half portion since it is massive. But I love it. I know it is not the best or authentic, but something about it feels nostalgic and at a good price point. I truly do enjoy grabbing a bite from here from time to time. read more

I went there recently and was greeted by the host. It was about 4 p.m. on a Friday, and there were a couple tables occupied by customers. The rest of the dining room was empty, and the dining room is quite large. I asked for a booth because I am quite short and the table top reaches my chin when I sit on a chair at one of their tables. It's impossible for me to enjoy eating that way. The host brought me over to a regular table, and I told him why I needed a booth. He refused to give one to me because all of them were "reserved for larger parties." But there were no "larger parties" there, and they have a lot of booth-type seating. Another employee on the floor also refused to sit me at the booth because they were saving them for larger parties. I told them I would leave and not come back, and that second employee held the door for me to leave. Just then a third employee who I believe was the manager ran over to the door and asked me to come back in. She sat me at a booth. It was such a horrible experience that I couldn't enjoy my meal. They have good rotisserie chicken. I just rushed through my meal and hurried out. The server was fine, but I never made any requests since I just wanted to get through dinner because I didn't feel welcome there. And, surprise! The dining room never filled up during my meal. I can't believe management has never taught their employees to be welcoming to all patrons, including single diners. I give 2 stars because the food and wait staff were fine. It's been a few months and I waited to post this review so some of my anger and hurt would subside before writing a review. I have never been back and I'm not sure I ever will. Apparently single diners are not good enough to eat here. By the way, I'm a great tipper. read more

Oh how dissapointing today's visit to BMerrells was. It has been one of our favorite places to dine but today it seemed like it was a different place. Waiting staff was good but it seemed like she was the only waitress available so we constantly had to wait to get her attention. The young man that delivered our food seemed confused about what table he was going to and not just our table. Then, the serious issue was the lack of quality food. Of course, the wings were good, but the cheese bacon potatoes were allot smaller, the mashed potatoes seemed to be instant and the Mac and cheese was just down right "nasty". Needless to say, we won't be visiting it anytime soon. New management, when you get your act together, let us know. read more

Absolutely a waste of money! The service was terrible. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were seated pretty quickly. Our waiter, John, took the order and about 45 minutes our dinner was delivered. We had the open-face chicken with mashed potatoes and broccoli for my friend and I had the country fried steak, mash potatoes & gravy and fried okra. She stated her gravy was very salty, the rotisserie chicken was ok, but not good. She also wanted me to say that the broccoli was not overcooked. My meal was terrible. and the only thing warm was the fried okra and that was good. My steak was very overcooked and cold. The sides for mashed potatoes and gravy (no gravy was given) was smashed under the steak to the point I had to ask where my other side was. The server couldn't care less about the guest experience and I'm sure his tips reflect that. We saw him maybe 3x when he took the order, gave the check and only supplied a togo box for my entire meal when I asked. While we love the wings, nachos, and selections of IPAs, there was one issue - an obnoxious, foul-mouthed, drunk female patron. Kudos to the new owners. They finally got rid of her, I heard. Love this place and been going for 20 years since on Manchester Expy. I'm 44 and never really complain(ironic ) but when we were told today there are kitchen limits of celery and carrots for wings it was laughable and just brushed it off. That is not where the new owners need to cut cost. In their defense, I had a 6 piece wing and got 2 carrots and 2 celery. My work friend ordered a 10 piece and received 4+4. Came here in a very packed night. The service was quick and the servers were friendly. I had the wings with the sweet potato fries. The fries were great! The garlic wi ga not so much. I visited BMerrells twice in the past 30 days. The first visit was pretty good (wings were excellent, service was good, food to the table was very slow). Last evening, I took my wife after bragging to her about the food (wings). We were seated and waited and finally a waitress attended to us to take our order. 45 minutes after ordering another lady came by and said she had given our food to someone else accidentally but that our food would be out in 3 minutes. Well, 15 minutes later we were still not served. We left after wasting an hour of our lives and went to Outback (prompt service and easy wait for our food). My take on BMerrells: wings are good (if you ever get them), ambience is below average (dark and dirty), service is below average because of the wait times. The lack of offering to compensate us for our wait is unprofessional and not good for business. I will NOT be going back to BMerrells and I live close by - I'll find good wings elsewhere without the wait or drama. read more

I can say, that the quality of food has gone down drastically, to the point that it's hardly edible. Went there last week and had water, chicken fingers (they were just Tyson's or a processed brand, NOT homemade) and a side salad in lieu of fries. Went with a group (7 of us total) and everyone's food was made from processed brands. Mashed potatoes, gravy, country fried steak...EVERYTHING. MY bill came to $11.22. For chicken tenders and a little lettuce. Gave the waitress a $20. She asked if I wanted change. Really? Where do you think you deserve $8.78 as a tip for an $11+ meal? Overall an average restaurant. There were definitely no COVID regulations enforced whatsoever here and all the chairs and seats were definitely not 6 feet apart at all. The staff members all had masks on but they mind as well had them off because they ALL had them below their noses or chins. I don't have a picture but the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich my boyfriend got was not good, dry and would've been better if served with some beef Au Jus sauce.
