Chicken and dressing plate with greens and sweet potatoes.

What a soulful delight to eat at this tasty restaurant! This is our second time eating here and it was even better than the first time. The service was great and the Sunday after church crowd kept filling the line up. Good thing we got there when we did are we may had to get it to go. Clean establishment and talking with the owner made it even better! A must go to when you are in the area.

This place is AMAZING!! We came to Columbus from California for an Army graduation. Being from California we have never tried authentic southern cooking. We found Ed's while driving around exploring the city. Being that we have never tried anything, we tried EVERYTHING. Let me tell you the FLAVOR, omg. I ordered the baked chicken, the sides on got was mashed potatoes with chicken gravy, Mac n cheese and candied yams. There was not one thing on there I didn't enjoy. The juiciest chicken I've ever tasted. My husband couldn't decide so he ordered ribs, smothered pork chop, pigs feet, fried chicken, potato salad, macaroni salad, cabbage, and zucchini. He ate almost everything!! It was all delicious. My sister got the chicken, collard greens, dressing with gravy and cranberry sauce (I tried that and it was amazing) From everything we ordered there was not one thing that we didn't enjoy. If you're looking for some authentic down home southern cooking, this place is it!! Oh and I didn't even mention the customer service! Every one was so kind and friendly. Made us feel right at home.

Ed's Country Kitchen, this is the Fat of the roast beef I ordered.. more fat than meat!

l went Ed's Country Kitchen for Dinner Saturday.. I ordered roast beef, mashed potatoes, lima beans and cabbage.. paid for my meal and went to sit down to eat . started to eat the mashed potatoes were cold. The roast beef wasn't warm, but the vegetables were hot. I went to the cashier to let them know that my mashed potatoes were cold and my roast beef had a lot of fat in it. The cashier was nice and friendly, but the person serving the food on the line was not. She said roast beef have fried it I said, but this has more fat than me. There's nothing we can do about it so I said you selling it? Something you can do about it I didn't want to get an argument with her so I walked away. so if I had to write a country kitchen from that experience, it would be a five

Sign advertising to-go orders but called and they said they don't take to-go orders.

I called to make a To-Go order and the lady answered saying they don't do to-go orders that we have to come in to make a to-go order. Just to drive up and see this sign. So either take the sign down or stop being lazy and take to-go orders as advertised.

The service was great but the food a little bit over priced and a little on the salty side

If you're anywhere near downtown Columbus, this needs to be your stop. The Old Fashioned was beautifully balanced, garnished with a gorgeous orange peel, and at $10 it's an absolute steal -- honestly, they could charge more and it'd still be worth it. My wife is vegetarian and had the pasta, which she loved just as much -- great sauce, feta, sunflower seeds for crunch. This place genuinely has something for everyone, carnivore or not. Add in a waiter who was on point the whole meal and that down-home Southern ambiance (exposed brick, string lights, the whole vibe), and you've got a restaurant that nails food, drinks, and atmosphere all at once. If you're looking for where to eat in Columbus, don't even think twice -- this is it.

But, other than that our actual wait person was awesome and the food top notch! The hot pimento crab dip is to die for and the Harlot Burger was a definite winner. We also very much enjoyed the banana pudding. Charming place, friendly service and great food...just wish the greeting was a bit more welcoming, still a 5 star experience.
