Strawberry lemonade

Nice staff lady was young female , took the food drink order, loud place , music and people noise loud. Not very veggie friendly place but salad and sides few . Vegetarian options not big , choice of , as a vegan need that choices . , only choices that had were salad , broccoli, fries . Lady said they couldn't do much , no bottles of water. Mostly clean I thought at going to the table . Plastic wear available. I was given a dirty knife's set . So had to ask for new set and the old set wasn't taken back . Not enough napkins. Had black tiny bug on the table . Had booth table seat made me uncomfortable bc had left over food on it . Feel like they need to clean the table up and seat before bringing the person to the area .lady charged for raw onions and that was not part of the choice of price and she didn't say she was going to do that , never had been a full price , charge for raw onions before all they years got them . So I would like to speak to the manager about it .

Chicken Tender Platter

The food was just ok, but I think it may have been our choices. The breading was quite thick but my fish in my fish and chips was excellent. It was too thick for the ladies chicken fried salad and simply did not care for it. She told our excellent waiter who promptly took it off the bill. That excellent service earned an extra star!

Monte Cristo

Waited an hour for a pickup order, had to call to find out they were out of one of the items. They offered to replace it with an app or dessert, which was kind. However, our food was Luke warm and the Monte Cristo with fries were so soggy it was near inedible. Very disappointed.

Don't sleep on Moonshine Grill! We've been here a number of times and recently returned for dinner…read moreafter an event at the Fairmont Hotel. We somehow snagged nearby street parking and a table for two with no wait despite it being a busy Saturday evening after a UT football game. Make a reservation if you have a large party or are on a tighter schedule. It's a bit loud for those seated in the lobby/entrance area, but totes a vibe. For food, we ordered the blackened catfish, brisket burnt ends quesadillas, and harvest bowl to share. Everything was delicious and served quickly, even with the aforementioned dinner rush. 10/10 would order the same items again. I was so appreciative of the server splitting the entree over two plates without us asking. Did I mention the complimentary popcorn and cornbread? Twas a FEAST. I'm already thinking about the next time we're going back! If not for Moonshine, definitely for the speakeasy downstairs.

We were in Austin for a conference so I did some research and stumbled upon Moonshine Grill. I made…read morea reservation a week in advance. We arrived and in a few minutes we were seated at a table and immediately given water in mason jars and asked for our drink order. I opted just got an Arnold Palmer but the drink menu had some cute cocktails and mocktails, as well as a nice selection of beer and wine. Instead of bread, our server brought us a basket of seasoned popcorn. The popcorn had almost like a Cajun flair, but it wasn't spicy. It reminded me of the Ground Round chain from when I was a little girl. We decided to try the corndog shrimp appetizer. I couldn't decide on an entree because everything looked so good, so I did the Parmesan chicken and my coworker did the steak salad. The shrimp arrived so quickly with four large pieces of shrimp on a stick wrapped in corn dog batter and fried to a golden brown, with a blueberry mustard dipping sauce. The shrimp were delicious and while I didn't get much of the blueberry in the mustard, I enjoyed the sweetness it provided. My Parmesan chicken was a crispy and juicy breaded chicken cutlet with a lemon cream, artichoke hearts, and what appeared to be prosciutto on top. It was served with a side of pesto couscous with grape tomatoes and cucumbers. I wish I had ordered mashed potatoes on the side, because I wanted something to soak up the lemon cream sauce, which was the highlight of the chicken. We also were served 3 mini cornbread muffins with honey butter. My coworker said the salad was just okay, and was a little on the small side. The desserts were definitely a MUST and if you visit Moonshine and don't save room for the Espresso Brownie or the Peanut Butter Pie, you're going to regret it. The brownie was so fudgey and warm and served with ice cream. It was decadent. The peanut butter pie was the biggest slab of PB pie I've ever had with a thick Oreo crust. I wish I had someone with me to share it, it was huge. Overall, if I lived in the area I would definitely be back to try other things.

We finally made it to Hissy Fit, and I'm still dreaming about it. Every single bite was perfection…read more Let's start with the biscuits--hands down the best I've ever had in Austin (and honestly, anywhere in Texas). Flaky, buttery clouds of joy. The house-made blueberry preserves? Unreal. The local honey and butter? I could have eaten them with a spoon. My mouth is literally watering just thinking about it. Then came the cinnamon roll--crispy, golden edges with that gooey center that makes you involuntarily close your eyes and do a little happy food dance. We also shared The Old Fashioned biscuit sandwich, featuring house-made sausage that was so good it made us question all other sausage. Naturally, we had to "research" the bacon too--perfectly cooked, smoky, and absolutely worth it. We sat out on the porch with my pup, Lily, who was treated like royalty (fresh bowl of water and plenty of adoring attention). She gives the bacon two paws up! The staff? Absolute gems--Mark & Marie were warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to have us there. It felt more like breakfast at your favorite relative's house than a restaurant visit. We can't wait to go back and eat our way through the rest of the menu. Hissy Fit, you've officially ruined us for all other breakfast spots.

The bear claw is an almond pastry in the shape of a claw. It was sweet and strong in almond flavor, which is a good pairing with their lattes.
