I tried out the gluten free buns today. It costs extra. The gluten free buns taste even better than regular buns.

Best burger you can get. I get the magic shroom medium rare with truffle aioli and it's perfect. The hot honey sage fries are also AMAZING. This place is super reliable and consistent. Always love the ambience and vibes in there because it's super chill and friendly. Also the margs are strong and so yummy.

Went to Lil Doddy Burger Bar to meet my family for dinner. Lil Doddy is Hopdoddy's sister restaurant for fast-casual dining. There is seating available in both the dining room or patio. You can opt for speedy counter service or full service at the bar but if you're on-the-go, there is a drive-thru pick-up window available for online orders. Their focus is on a quick casual burger with speed and convenience. We ordered from the counter and were given a number and picked a table to sit in the dining area. Our food was brought to the table once prepared. It is hard not to default to ordering a burger here, but I had to try the Santorini Bowl with fresh house greens tossed in a bright oregano-lemon vinaigrette, with 100% grass-fed, pasture-raised beef, roasted sweet potatoes, crunchy cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, pickled red onions, creamy pastu avocado, and spicy garbanzo beans. This bowl was light and flavorful with fresh ingredients and great texture. Other people in my party ordered the Llano Poblano burger which was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and packed with bold flavors. I also received a free mini shake for my birthday. I chose the cookies and cream topped with whipped cream. It was the perfect indulgent small treat. Hopdoddy is a go to for a unique burger with fresh quality ingredients. Will continue to return for my burger fix.

4.5 My husband and I were in the mood for burgers and he decided he wanted burgers from Hopdoddy Burger Bar. I placed the order and paid for it online. We drove up to the drive thru and pulled up to the window. The person working asked for my name. He couldn't find it and asked what I had ordered. My husband told him and he found our order. We got our food and left. As part of our meal we shared an order of the Parmesan Fries which comes with Truffle Aioli. The fries are really good. They are flavorful and the Truffle Aioli is a delicious dipping sauce. We also shared a side of the Green Chili Queso. The queso was good and you could taste the green chili flavor in the queso. It was also good with the fries. I also ordered an extra side of bacon jam which was delicious. For our meal My husband ordered the Thunderbird Burger with beef. It comes with a beef patty, pepper jack, bacon, pablano, pico, avacado, lettuce, and a chipotle aioli. He chose to get it without the pepper jack and without the pico. He enjoyed it. I ordered the Farmhouse Burger which comes with a beef patty, cheese, bacon, a sunny side up egg, crispy onions, lettuce, tomato, and sliced onions. I chose to and add Bacon Jam and Avacado to my burger. It was a delicious burger. All the ingredients were filling and tasty. A very good burger. Overall the ordering process was easy, the pickup process was fairly fast, and the food is really good. Delicious burgers and fries.

Listen, I've been here a few times now... it's a place that tries to turn burgers upscale, but if I'm being honest, this place isn't that upscale, and I just want Five Guys after I stop by the gym next door! Every time I go the two fire tables are taken by business men. And the bar doesn't make me wanna sit. This place needs a lounge if it's going to be upscale. When I waited for my food to go, they had me sit at the tables in front of the bar where the staff is. There's really no where to lounge outside either. Are you upscale or fast food? I can't tell.

Yummy burgers and sides! Hopdoddy serves quintessential American burgers with a variety of meat and vegetarian patty options. Service is fairly quick. I usually get the vegetarian bean patty but tried the mushroom patty this time and it was quite good. The Thunderbird chicken burger was also tasty and filling, although very much deep fried and greasy. They also have kids meals that include choice of meat, side potato or sweet potato fries and a small drink. There's plenty of parking available in the lot outside this particular restaurant location.

My brother and I came here today for a first time experience. We barely beat the crowd. We each ordered the Blazing Pineapple margaritas and got Parmesan Truffle Fries and Hot Honey Sage Brussels to share. My brother got a Classic burger while I got an El Diablo. The burgers were fabulous and I could live on the Brussels! Neither of us liked the margarita as we felt it was too acidic or unbalanced. There was no spice to it whatsoever. Having said that, I think I have a new favorite burger joint.

Lil' Doddy is a busy place that has a casual vibe and is kid friendly. There is a bar to the left as you walk in and tv screens throughout. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating as well. Grab a menu, get in line to order and choose a table number. They'll come find you when your food is ready. We ordered the Cadillac Wagyu burger, Bacon Double Jam burger, Parmesan Truffle fries and Hot Honey & Sage fries because we couldn't choose between the two fries. Everything was great... especially the Hot Honey & Sage fries.

We came back today and had another excellent experience! When we came by this afternoon, we were able to order within minutes. Aubrey was working as the cashier and she was very friendly and helpful. The fries once again came out within minutes, and they were warm, fresh & delicious! The entrees were solid as well, and the Oreo shake was money. We will be back!

Do they do lettuce wrap options?

At regular Hopdoddy they offer a GF bun or your burger on a salad--no lettuce wrap. I'm not positive here but could imagine it's the same.

Does anyone know if they have happy hour specials?

Yes, mon-fri 3-630. 5$ almost everything for drinks, 5$ shareables, 5$ american and classic cheeseburger

I'm usually not a fan of 'craft cocktails' out bc they're overpriced and not nearly as good as what my partner makes at home, but these were glorious. These drinks had layers of flavor. And fresh ingredients. And they were reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't even remember the last time we had such good drinks out (ok that's a lie but another review and it was at that place where Crowbar used to be - but these win hands down). The bartenders were nice and knowledgeable (Did I mention they make amazing drinks?). The outside has a similar feel to Cosmic but more secluded which is nice. It's a rainy night in Austin. My girlfriend is in town because my cousin and her fiancé are getting…read moremarried in Austin. It's also the weekend of our one year anniversary. An hour ago it wasn't raining, but now it's pouring. A few months ago, I heard of a newer bar and experience called Equipment Room just right off of South Congress. Music means everything to me. Nothing can express emotions and instill a feeling in 3 minutes like a song can. I live for that. Equipment Room is inherently Japanese in concept. Existing in Japan for over 50 years, listening bars combine high fidelity audio equipment with impressively crafted cocktails and alcohol combining the passion of music in a space to gather with comfortable chairs and a beautiful atmosphere. The concept has expanded westward as all cool things inevitably do, but I would never think a spot would be successful in Austin like it would be in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and so on. As I back my car into a parking spot on South Congress, I grab the umbrella out of my trunk and walk my girlfriend and me to the entrance trying to not get ourselves soaked in the process. This is not the first time we have tried to go to Equipment Room. We tried to get a walk-in table just to see out of morbid curiosity and that was a failure. I booked her and me a table for this night and I was madly looking forward to it. As we got to the small entrance, we were introduced to the hostess who brought us from the stairs into the main underground space and to our seats on the couch in a large wraparound sofa with other parties sitting near us. The music is faint from the entrance, but once you walk through the main walkway, a wave of sound hits your eardrums. You're immediately engrossed into the music like walking into a concert hall or putting a fresh pair of headphones on for the first time. As we sat down, selections from Outkast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik were playing through the speakers. Our hostess introduced us to their "User Manual" (their menu) where it contained all the snacks and drinks you could get your grubby hands on. There's more than just drinks and food on the menu. The first page introduces the concept and gives a few house rules. The second page shows all the equipment this so-called room has, from the premium Klipsch speakers, their preamps and amplifiers as well as their turntables and mixers. It's a dream page for music nerds. I want a $15k speaker in my apartment, but those noise complaints would never end. Our waitress came by shortly to give us water and take our order. Their menu is quite expansive, but the main pages we were told to check out were their A-side drinks or the classics and their B-side drinks, which are more experimental. We had to go with experimental for starters because who knows when you'll get to try something similar again. I started with a Goca Dünya while my girlfriend ordered a Deceptacon. The Goca Dünya was a vodka based floral drink with pistachio foam and Amaro Nonino, an Italian herbal liqueur. The Deceptacon was a rum-based cacao drink with a touch of lime and mint. It took a little time for our drinks to come out, clearly, as they are quite intricate. I loved my drink, bluntly. The pistachio foam was a great balance to the herbal flavors at the bottom. My girlfriend and I continued to enjoy each other's company as the music continued. The space we were in was decorated with posters and memorabilia from legendary artists coming through Austin and some general music decor like that purple album from that Prince guy. The DJ-curator that night was on a tear playing incredible soul music holding the bar hostage with a taste of funk. Jimmy Smith came next before transitioning to a few tracks from Bobbie Gentry. The last albums he pulled out were Steely Dan's Aja (a stone cold classic) and Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life (a top 10 album of all time). Not only was he playing classics like Isn't She Lovely, but he threw down some deeper cuts like Black Man and Contusion. Incredible. We both got another drink with my girlfriend getting their A-Side Espresso Martini while I got the Brown Sugar from their B-Sides. It was a seaweed and mushroom infused whiskey with a few more bells and whistles and it was super unique. Quite a bit of their menu is Japanese-inspired in homage to the originators of listening bars. This includes Japanese beer, sake, and Japanese-inspired food and beverages on their menu. Very cool. The worst part of the night came when our hour and 45 minute reservation came to a close. I could've stayed there for another 3 hours and never grown tired, but with how popular this space has become, they gotta kick you out at some point. This is an experience you have to have. It's worth it. I'll be strolling back in soon enough because there is nothing like this in Austin and it's truly a special space. RIYL: Actively listening to music.

For food, we got the Cheese board to have something to pick on and we demolished it, haha. It came with marmalade and crackers. The cheeses were great, along with the dried fruits and nuts.
