WoW! If you have three hours, and energy to spend begging someone to take your order, well then go for it! Our experience today was...well it was comical! We thought we MUST be on TV, maybe What Would You Do, or something along those lines. First it was average busy - we signed in and waited to be seated. The foyer was cleared by the time we were given a seat. We were given menus and seated at a table in the "cocktail" or bar area. We sat - looked over the menu, had friendly conversation, looked over the menu some more, put our menus down, engaged in more friendly conversation...and waited....and waited....a person in our party decided to go look for our wait person. He found the manager who said he would take care of it and offered an appetizer of onion rings on the house, then disappeared. We engaged in more conversation and perused the menu further as we were running out of conversation and getting more hungry. Oh we got there around 2:15 pm on Saturday, they were busy as we expected...nothing out of the ordinary. Well, around 3:15, I decided to go track down our wait person so we could maybe get our drink order in, get some water, or something. I approached the hostess stand where I was asked if we seated ourselves or were seated, I told her we were seated, after waiting, for quite some time at this point. She said we hadn't been assigned a wait person. when I got back to our table, the complimentary onion rings met me at the table. We munched on the onion rings, still waiting for our drink order to be taken. When the onion rings were mostly gone, we didn't really want them in the first place, I went up to the bar and saw a woman who looked like she was closing out a cash register (maybe a manager??). I asked her if we were on TV or something, maybe some hidden cameras...you know like the show What Would You Do? show? Because wait staff were seriously walking past us, and we no one had stopped to get our drink order, much less our food order!! She looked at me with much consternation and then I heard someone behind me, it was the guy from the bar...he stepped in to say that he would personally check in to it and if nobody was assigned he would take care of us. FINALLY!! After a bit of a wait, he showed up at our table, took our drink order, our food order, and we were FINALLY able to have lunch...wait...it's supper by now....HE was mostly attentive and the rest of the meal went mostly normally from there. But COME ON seriously? Just WOW. They comped the onion rings, which we really didn't want, they comped an ice tea and one of my margaritas...and on the way out, others in my party were not convinced that was enough so they went and found who they were told was THE manager, it was not the person that said he was the manager two and a half hours earlier. Ironically enough, he gave them a "free appetizer" coupon...to encourage us to come back for another three hour lunch/supper. I said they could keep it. I wouldn't be back. The food was average, nothing spectacular. As for service, well, they really didn't care about this table or these guests...so why on earth would I ever go back??? Seriously- there should have been cameras. If you want to be ignored, demeaned, and really build up your appetite, GO tell them I sent you! LOL have a good day, good luck to ya!!! read more
