Excited to try a new cheesy food truck and take in the view of the Silos at this Waco favorite. You can order at the food truck, on your phone in advance, or by scanning the QR code nearby. It's great to have options! They have a limited menu - all cheesy goodness-based. The Mac n' cheese was good - decadent - and ooey gooey cheesy. The noodles were firm enough and the little container was one of my favorite to-go containers for soggy food that I've seen. The Original grilled cheese sandwich was also good, the bread fresh and buttered. Overall fun stop if you are in the mood for a cheese-based meal.

Decided to give the Cheddar Box a try while at the Magnolia Market in Waco. We went with the Happy Couple which is a gourmet cheese sandwich (The Boss) and soup (Tomato Basil soup). The Boss which is Bacon, Gouda and Basil grilled cheese was pretty good. It was very crispy, buttery and the cheese pull was definitely there. The soup was a little lack luster. Tasted like marinera sauce more than anything. Nothing was horrible. Nothing was amazing. It was just ok.

I am visiting Waco this weekend and I had to check out the magnolia shops area. I saw this food truck and decided to check it out. The lady taking our order was really nice and got us checked out fast. I ordered the old school add bacon with chips. They are advertised as gourmet, but I didn't get that vibe. The sandwhich was on regular bread and had no extra pizzazz. I felt like I could have made a better one at home. The bacon that I added really made the sandwhich. I would not reccomend them as a gourmet grilled cheese but maybe the other ones are better.

Stopped into magnolia market specifically for the food trucks. I wasn't sure if they'd be open with it being such a rainy day, but they were! They were having a bit of a problem with their card reader since it got wet but we made it happen with cashapp. I got the power couple- grilled cheese and mac combo with a rasp rosemary lemonade. The price for the drink was steep but it was very large. My food was delish. I was grateful for a small menu bc making decisions is hard! I ate some of my food fresh and hot and a bunch of it later when it was cold. Its still delish cold. Cant go wrong with grilled cheese and mac and cheese!

We visited the Silos. We got hungry and decided to look around and see what would catch our eyes. I saw a couple of people walking around with grilled cheese and I knew it was a sign. The menu is pretty simple. I decided to go for the POWER COUPLE because it had the two things I wanted to try. A gourmet grilled cheese sandwich and a side of Mac n' Cheese. I went with THE BOSS; bacon, gouda, and basil on sourdough. It was tasty and wish I didn't share with my husband. It really is only good for one. Unless you're not that hungry. The price is good, the food was delicious, and the service was great! Overall a good option from the array of food trucks they offer. I also like that they ingredients were all locally sourced. Kudos!

We tried this spot while at the silos today and it was pretty good. Staff was friendly, food was made fresh to order and didn't take long to get. I do think the sandwich was a bit overpriced.. especially for how small it was and how little ingredients you get. I couldn't taste the bacon at all on the sandwich, couldn't tell you it had it even though it was supposed to. With that being said, you're at the silos so you can't expect to not pay a little bit more for convenience. I definitely wouldn't eat here again but you can't really go wrong. It's a grilled cheese, nothing more, nothing less.

Nothing bad to say about Cheddar Box, it was a decent grilled cheese and a quick bite to eat while exploring The Silos. It definitely didn't blow my mind though and for the price I expected it to be a little bigger or thicker, however, if you're just looking for a quick grilled cheese, this is your best bet around the area.

Just about everything is more expensive at the silos, and the food trucks aren't really an exception. Also, don't bother researching menus for any of the food trucks in advance, because what they'll actually have there will be much less of a variety than what you see online. On the bright side, going on a Tuesday in April, there weren't much in the way of lines. They only actually had two types of grilled cheese sandwiches...your basic grilled cheese and the Boss, which had Gouda (I think), bacon, and basil. We got both plus sides of the Mac and cheese. The sandwiches aren't huge, but the flavor is pretty good. The sides of Mac and cheese were really good. Quite rich. Three of those combos and two drinks were around $42, not to mention my giant $9 sweet tea from Alabama Sweet Tea. It was all pretty good, but I'll likely try someplace else if I'm here at Magnolia again.

Had their grilled cheese and Mac&cheese. The mac cheese is special, delicious but kind of salty. The flavor is pretty good tho. The grill cheese is great! Lots of cheese in it. And the bread is good as well. The waiting line is long, and waited around 25ish.

This is a food truck within the Silos District in case you happen to be in the area craving a grilled cheese sandwich. They are pretty decent, because it's in the Silos, it will get pretty busy. Be prepared to wait for 25-30 minutes for waiting to order and waiting for your food to be ready. Be sure to order the Wacoan since it's made with local cheese. We also ordered the one with bacon in it. Not bad for what it is, it comes with kettle chips.

This food truck is a MUST visit when stopping at Magnolia Market. The food is incredible. Who doesn't love a good grilled cheese sandwich! I came here on a super cold day so a nice classic grilled cheese with a side of Mac and Cheese is just what I needed. The sourdough bread had a great crunch to it, and the cheese to bread ratio was spot on. The staff was super friendly, and the food came out super quick! Will definitely be back when I'm in town!

I am not sure how fair my review will be as I have never been to the brick and mortar location. My grilled cheese sandwich was crafted on a food truck in the middle of Lent. The mentioning of Lent is important because their food truck creations included some form of meat on a Friday. Therefore, the pairing of meat and grilled cheese would probably have been wonderful, but I had to settle for cheese and bread which was lacking in flavor for a "grilled cheese sandwich" specialist. read more

Both sandwiches were very very good would highly recommend getting grilled cheese sandwiches from here. It's not the same grilled cheese your mother used to make, at least not my mother. We recently visited the Silos and were there too late for breakfast but a little early for lunch. Of all the food trucks near Magnolia Market, Cheddar Box's menu seemed right. My wife and I ordered the Guac This Way. There is just no way to describe completely how awesome this tasted. Guacamole, pico and pulled pork next to melting pepper jack on a fresh large flour tortilla. Folded up in quarters with a tomatillo sauce on the side. You just have to try it! Friendly ladies running the truck. We will be back. read more

Gluten free grilled cheese!! Yay. I can't do dairy, but my 3 kids all said they were the bomb. They looked buttery and yummy. And finding a gluten free lunch for my kids is sometimes tough....this was perfect, came with apple slices. We found their truck at Magnolia Market and it was a hit. Great grilled cheese place! Good alternative to the other food trucks there. I had the Wacoan with the Tomato Basil soup, chips and the unsweet tea. The wait for the order was quick and I was soon enjoying the multicheese grilled cheese. There were too many to choose from- I always enjoy one with a granny smith apple in it. I had to try something new! Enjoyed it and the shopping afterward. I cant wait to go back and try another grilled cheese! read more

I love food trucks, so I was excited to try this place out. I also love Mac and cheese ! I had the sandwich that was on the French toast, it was good- a little sweeter than I expected but good nonetheless. My mother and sister ordered the Mac n cheese that had the brisket in it and it was very good, at first they got the order wrong as they asked for no jalapeños but they had added them anyway so when we went to get it remade they were impatient second time and when it did come out right it was still amazing ! A little salty but I believe the brisket was a dry rub brisket which normally involves a little more salt than usual. I'd defiantly go back and will be going back when I can ! read more

"The Boss"...gouda cheese, crispy bacon & fresh basil on sourdough...was insanely yummy and going into my recipe box. But the best part of the experience was Jess's kindness. read more

I enjoyed these cute little food truck. I went in the evening of a Saturday so they had sold out of Mac and cheese, which is my fault for not going earlier. I had the boss which was amazing. The bacon was cooked perfectly, the basil was fresh and it had Ana amazing cheese to bread ratio. I really enjoyed my experience and will come back for lunch some day to try the Mac and cheese. read more

This place is wonderful! My husband is dairy free and I'm gluten free. We rarely get to eat something together that works for both of our dietary needs. Not only was this place accommodating, but our sandwich was delicious!!! We shared a gluten free, dairy free grilled cheese with brisket and pico. Yummmmmmmy! Wish they had a Dallas location, but worth the drive to Waco! read more

This is without doubt the best mac & cheese I've ever eaten. I tried it for the first time while I was pregnant and craved it so bad. Unfortunately we like in Arlington so I had to suck it up! I passed through Waco again with my 2 year old daughter and 2 month old son during the silobration and literally walked a Mile carrying both kids just to get their food, it was uncomfortable but so worth it. I'll be visiting again later this month and it always makes me excited for road trips! read more

This is hands down my most-frequented lunch spot in town! Leslie, KeeKee, and the others who work here are always friendly and helpful. On Wednesdays they offer $5 sandwiches for locals ("Waco Wednesday"), which is a fantastic deal and shows how they're reaching out to the community and not solely focused on the tourists coming through Magnolia. My favorite sandwich is "The Boss." It keeps my taste buds wanting more and my tummy filled up till dinner. Their mac n cheese is also delicious! I'd recommend the tomato soup as a complement to a sandwich - I treat it more as a dipping sauce than as a soup. Overall, 5 stars for sure! read more

While visiting Magnolia, I saw a food truck that said 'Gourmet Grilled Cheese' and we had to try. The staff was very friendly and there was only a short minute wait. Mine was awesome except it was on French toast bread, which is yummy but I would have preferred a sourdough. My boyfriend had one with aged cheddar and a horseradish mustard and it was amazing. Oh my gosh! We went to the silos today and my husband got a sandwich. When he came back to the table he looked at me and said, "They have gluten-free, dairy-free options!" I was so excited!!!! All the employees were so nice when I asked questions about the type of bread and style of cheese used, and didn't get annoyed at all! This gluten and dairy intolerant person thanks you! Amazing grilled cheese sandwiches and probably the best I've ever had!!! Would seriously recommend this place for any time of the day. I got The Boss grilled cheese and it was the best thing ever, not even kidding. I probably could've eaten several more because they were that good. The price is a bit high until you realize the quality cheeses used. This is NOT velveta folks! Honestly, this is the only reason I periodically suffer through Magnolia Market. Fun tip: Go around 4p or later. Very few crowds then, especially during the week. Enjoy the cheesy sandwich in peace! read more

This was one of the worse grilled cheese sandwiches I have had. No flavor and burnt pieces of cheese in the sandwhich My husband and I got the Happy Couple. We had the Waconian and soup. And for some reason after everyone before me got their food and 4 people behind me received their food I asked what happened to my food. So not only was the quality of the food bad the service is also bad. This couple is an "Unhappy Couple". Don't waste your money or your thetime! read more

Disappointed in the Boss grilled cheese. After waiting 30 minutes and paying $10.00 (includes tip), the sandwich was something I could make at home. The bacon was cut into small pieces and may have totaled one piece in the whole sandwich. Not worth the wait or money. read more

Very disappointed. I expected a nice, thick grilled cheese, but instead got a tiny, thin, very greasy sandwich. I ordered the Wacoan and my husband ordered the Guacamole. His was on a tortilla and also very greasy. The best item was the watermelon salad. Suggestion: use a thicker slice of bread and perhaps a little olive oil to grill. read more

Cheddar Box is amazing. I've lived in Waco for awhile now, and when I heard they were going have a more permanent place at the Silos, I was thrilled! They started small at the Farmer's Market, and you can tell by the taste that they use local ingredients. Just because they are open 6 days a week hasn't diminished the deliciousness. I find their price point is appropriately set given their local ingredients. I've probably eaten here 30 times and I can honestly say that it's been fantastic almost every time. They expanded their menu when they moved to the Silos to include a delightful soup and shockingly good Mac 'n' cheese. The sandwiches are crisp as they come of the grill. My personal favorite is a Boss and I add an egg to add that final pop. I can assure you as a regular that the review that bashes this place was either a dude having a bad day or an extreme outlier. Either way, this food truck is by far the best option at the Silos. They've got a really friendly staff. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting from out of town to see the Silos or any Wacoan looking for a nice bite to eat. read more

I eat here 2-3 times a week and never grow tired of the food!The grilled cheese are fun, creative, and delicious. They also serve an amazing tomato basil soup to pair up with your grilled cheese. And they now serve several different mac n' cheese options as well! My favorite grilled cheese is the boss but if I have a sweet tooth the sweet granny is just right! This was a great for our Celiac daughter who doesn't get to eat out much! We just told them she had a gluten allergy and they "fired up the gluten free grill"!! Bonus was that this was located at the Magnolia Silos which are awesome!! read more
