The price we were quoted was on the high side but we have been told to expect that as this is the best place to come if you want the highest quality of work. I was warned about Davids…read moreBridal, where I purchased this gown, that they would charge exorbitant rates, so i tried to find another tailor. I was told by this tailor and his wife that yes they could absolutely do what I wanted done to the gown (high/low look), and a couple minor adjustments, to the tune of 334.00$. I agreed thinking Davids would have been more, and was considering myself lucky to have found the right shop. I couldn't have been more wrong. I was called back to the shop three weeks later, (32 days before my wedding), to be told that aaaaa no, they couldn't actually do what they said they could. It's too labor intensive. I panicked at this point with my wedding so close, and called Davids bridal to beg their forgiveness and fix my dress in time. They agreed to my immense relief and are altering my dress as I write this. Turns out Collana's tailor cut far to much of the tulle off the underskirt of my dress, and really messed it up. I was shown the problems they created by the seamstresses at Davids and was told to demand my money back. Thank god they can fix it enough to be wearable. I was able to find something in my size but the gown still needed to be taken in and up to fit me properly. I called Ilana at 5pm on the Tuesday before my wedding on Saturday looking for a miracle. Despite her being in the middle of busy wedding season, she graciously offered to help me and told me to come on in. Ilana was so kind and warm in person and her attention to detail was noticeable. She fitted my gown to me perfectly, had me try the dress with and without a bustle and even had me come in for a second fitting before finalizing the cuts - who gets a second fitting when they come the week of their wedding?! Last, I chose to wear my gown with a wrist strap. The wrist strap on the original dress was made of plain ribbon and Ilana asked me if she wanted her to cover it with fabric, given the time I said not to worry about it. When I put my dress on on my big day, the wrist strap was made of the lovely fabric of the rest of my gown - I was overwhelmed by Ilana's generosity and attention to detail to ensure my gown was perfect even though we were working on a very short timeline. I had a wonderful experience here! I brought in a formal dress that I was planning to wear to a…read morefriend's wedding. It fit well through my ribs and chest, but needed to be taken in around the hips and lower part of the dress, as well as shortened. I called ahead, and they told me to come in with no problem. They had me try the dress on, carefully pinned and marked everything, and explained that it would be ready in about a week. When I picked it up, the alterations were beautifully done. After getting home, I realized there was one small thing I wanted to adjust about the way the bottom of the dress was laying. I called, and they immediately told me to bring it back whenever was convenient. They fixed it for me while I waited, and I was so impressed by how thorough they were. They had me try it on multiple times, making little tweaks until it fit absolutely perfectly. They never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them, and they didn't even charge me for the additional adjustment. Everyone was incredibly kind, patient, detail-oriented, and genuinely wanted to make sure I left happy with the final result. The dress fits like it was made for me! I couldn't be happier with their work and will absolutely be coming back the next time I need something tailored. Highly recommend!

The dress hadn't fit quite right when I came in and, even though I had only intended to get it shortened, they were able to make some small alterations to other parts of the dress to make it fit perfectly.
