My husband had an emergency event and went to JCPenney to get a suit. He found the one but it needed some alterations. Luckily Chayban's was still open and he was willing to alter his suit same day. He did it under an hour. It came out absolutely perfect and at a great price. We were so pleased and happy that it all worked out. The worker of this shop was so passionate at his craft and shared with us that he learned from his father and followed his footsteps. After my most recent and very responsive experience with Chayban's Custom Tailoring, I want to comment about the continuing outstanding customer service and highest quality tailoring I continue to receive from Chayban's. Having relied on Danny and Yasmine Chayban at both the Williamsville and Lancaster locations since 2001, I recently received outstanding customer service for my recent order for four custom tailored suits. Chayban Chayban delivered the highest quality of tailoring to my exact specifications. The suits all fit perfectly and are made from the best materials. My tailor, Chayban, patterned, cut, and sewed my suits to fit perfectly, unlike any pants I could find and purchase off the rack in a retail store. My new suits are very comfortable. I have gone here many times in the past for dress alterations and have always been pleased with the work done and the prices. I took a bridesmaid dress in to be hemmed three weeks ago that I need for two days from now. I brought it on in on a Friday and was told to come in and pick it up the following Wednesday. On Wednesday I went in and was told Friday. I figured ok not a big deal. On Friday I couldn't make it so my husband went in Saturday to pick it up. He was told it wasn't ready yet and the tailor told him "I need about two more hours but I will finish it by Monday" My husband said he'd come Tuesday to pick it up since I work and they are only open until 4 during the week and I'd never make it. Today is Tuesday and when he went to get it it still wasn't done. The man now says he needs 4 hours to complete it. It's now been three times that it wasn't done and I need it for this Friday. There is now no more time to see another tailor and I can only pray it's ready tomorrow. I have no other options. I realize I didn't give them a long time to work on it but I specifically asked when I made my appointment if there was enough time and I was told absolutely since it was just being hemmed. I'll never be going to Chaybans again after this. What a headache. Additionally the man doing the work told me to see his wife for my wedding dress next summer and there is no way in hell I'll be bringing my wedding dress or any other dress to them after this. Covid can't be an excuse for poor customer service forever. Very disappointed. read more

I had a tie made to match my dates dress for a wedding. He did not listen to how I wanted it made. I brought a tie in to use as an example as to how I wanted the tie to look, shape, size etc. Looked horrible, and not only did I have to pay his fee to make it but I also had to buy the material from another location because he didn't have what I was looking for. Getting my alteration done at Chayban's was the WORST decision I could have made! The man I dealt with was unprofessional and rude and I'm convinced a dolphin could have done a better job altering my dress. When I went to pick up my dress, he asked me to come into the back area to help him look for it, even after describing both the dress and the garment bag it was in. After I located the dress after a few seconds of looking for it, I asked if I should try it on. He insisted that trying it on wouldn't be necessary and assured me that it would fit. He made me feel stupid for even asking. When I got home and tried it on I was appalled at the terrible job they had done. I imagine this would be one of the simplest alterations for a tailor. The straps on my brand new sleeveless dress just needed to be shortened. There was a seam right at the top of the shoulder strap. They returned the dress to me with a scalloped edge on the strap, where there was once a straight edge, the straps were uneven with each other and there was an inch gap between my shoulder and the strap on the right side of the right strap so it wasn't flush against my shoulder and it just stuck up and out. If you like the garment you need to have altered, do not bring it here!!! I just flushed the cost of the dress, $160, and the cost of shortening the straps, $30, down the drain. read more

We purchased a formal dress from a local chain bridal shop. Of course it needed alterations. I asked for an estimate for a hem and to shorten the straps. I was told around $120 and 4 weeks to complete. As I've never gotten alterations done before I didn't have anything to compare it to. I had heard great things about Chayban's so decided to give them a try. I called to see if I needed to make an appointment and was told to just come in with the dress. We chose the Walden Galleria mall location because the hours were convenient. It's a small space with bolts of fabric pretty much everywhere but hey you're not here to browse. They have a small changing room so we were able to put the dress on and be fitted. The price was less than half of what I was quoted at the other place and he was able to get it done in a couple days! The work was excellent quality. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. I'd definitely go back if I had another occasion to. I noticed a sign that said they also hand make items so that's something to keep in mind for future. read more

I don't remember the woman's name that helped me at the store but she was wonderful. I had my maid of honor dress taken in at another tailor and I was a mess so I brought it here to have it fixed. The wedding was only a week after I brought it in but she saw how nervous and upset I was and she was so kind and got the dress fixed in record time and it looks absolutely wonderful!! I highly recommend using them and I will be using them in the future myself. read more
