Absolutely exceptional and the BEST for wedding gown alterations! Due to a customs issue, both my wedding ceremony and reception dresses arrived only 4 weeks before the wedding and both dresses required a lot of work. I had heard good things about Chayban and decided to see if they could pull off a miracle. Truly, they went above and beyond! The attention to detail and the level of execution were superb, which given the time constraints is all the more impressive. The reception dress required a complete redesign of the top. They took my idea and made it look like the dress was designed that way. Which again, is all the more impressive given that they only had four weeks to pull it off. I will be using them for all of my alternations and tailoring needs and I can't recommend them enough! read more

I had a wonderful experience here! I brought in a formal dress that I was planning to wear to a friend's wedding. It fit well through my ribs and chest, but needed to be taken in around the hips and lower part of the dress, as well as shortened. I called ahead, and they told me to come in with no problem. They had me try the dress on, carefully pinned and marked everything, and explained that it would be ready in about a week. When I picked it up, the alterations were beautifully done. After getting home, I realized there was one small thing I wanted to adjust about the way the bottom of the dress was laying. I called, and they immediately told me to bring it back whenever was convenient. They fixed it for me while I waited, and I was so impressed by how thorough they were. They had me try it on multiple times, making little tweaks until it fit absolutely perfectly. They never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them, and they didn't even charge me for the additional adjustment. Everyone was incredibly kind, patient, detail-oriented, and genuinely wanted to make sure I left happy with the final result. The dress fits like it was made for me! I couldn't be happier with their work and will absolutely be coming back the next time I need something tailored. Highly recommend! read more

Absolutely recommend this tailor. They completely bailed me out with last-minute alterations on a dress for a wedding. My other alterations fell through and they were able to rush alter the dress for me. The dress hadn't fit quite right when I came in and, even though I had only intended to get it shortened, they were able to make some small alterations to other parts of the dress to make it fit perfectly. I couldn't be more pleased with the fit of the dress or the accommodating nature of the shop. read more

I don't know what a Chay is, but Chays are no longer allowed where I work. They've instituted a Chay Ban. Maybe there's also a Chay Ban at this place too. I've had mixed experiences of this place but I have to say I think some of the reviews might be fake. I'm not completely sure. You can have a look for yourself. Customer service can be mixed and turnaround time can be really on the unacceptable side of things. It's hit or miss. I don't use these services often otherwise I'd have more to say. They were fairly professional last time I was here, picking something up for my Landlord. My caveat is that it was last winter, not this winter. I came here about 5 times in 6 months but then took forever to write the review. My bad. read more

Chayban Tailors - I'm chaybanned from this store - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Tonawanda, New York

The Tailors at Chayban are highly skilled and very friendly! Last week, I had to buy a dress last minute for a black tie event- the Tailor was able to take up a dress for me in very short notice, and did a terrific job. I previously had a great experience with Chayban in Lancaster with my wedding dress as well. Their price is definitely worth the quality of work they provide. read more

They are not the cheapest place to get your alterations, but they do a great job. The owner took the time to explain everything he planned on doing for my situation. I needed some pants (3) taken out around the waist and thigh area. Pants were done in a week and I have no complaints. read more

Amazing service and extremely efficient. I highly recommend if you want your apparel to look absolutely perfect!

Chayban's (Lancaster Location) did alterations on my wedding dress and they did a fantastic job! I felt that the amount I was quoted was a bit high for the amount of work needed on my dress but decided it was worth it for it to be done right. In the end, they charged me less than what was originally quoted. Yasmine clearly knows what she's doing. Highly recommend! read more

Took some dresses in for alterations, length was the same as when I bought them in, price was Way too expensive!

Chayban Tailors did an amazing job tailoring my wedding dress and at a price cheaper than anyone else. I highly recommend and trusted my wedding dress with them for any alterations. The dress fit like a glove and was so comfortable on my wedding day. I will be going to Chaybans for any alterations from now on. read more

I started using Chayban years ago. They were so patient with my very cranky stepfather. Most recently, very happy with my daughter's prom dress! Great work and highly recommend! read more

My wife promised me she would fix my pants for work at GM. When the time came to do the wo no I can not do it do not know how at 6pm the night before my new job at 4pm the next day. She knows I have to see the doctor at 1030 that morning so I can work at 4pm at GM. I spoke to him about my problem at noon the pants would be ready at 230 pm so that I can go to work and look professional. I just met him this morning and he was willing to do this for me. You need something done in a hurry he is the guy to see. I will take all my tailoring needs to him in the future. A good man like him is hard to find we should all support him. read more

My second time at Chayban, and this was an unpleasant encounter. I'd dropped off a navy blue peacoat for cleaning and to have two buttons sewn back on. The lady who took my order was nice, but not very talkative. I have a cat, and the main concern with cleaning was white cat hair on the dark coat. On pickup day I returned, and the buttons were sewn on. The coat itself was covered in hair and the cuffs and pocket edges still pilled. I was disappointed, since I'd been to Chayban before and they'd done a good job in the past. The older man at the counter started to argue. First he claimed the coat had been cleaned, then he said that it's impossible to remove pet hair. Finally, he started using a lint roller in an attempt to remove the hair. I decided to pay for the work done, and the man quoted me $10 for the button sewing. He offered to send the coat back to the cleaners, but I declined as I had lost faith at this point. He also tried to shift the blame to the cleaners, complaining that "now I have to pay for it." I didn't even argue this point, since obviously that's an issue between the shop and the cleaner they contract with. I paid the agreed upon $10, took the coat, and started to leave. The man said to me "if this is how you plan to get rich good luck!" I won't be back, and can no longer recommend Chayban. read more

This is my first experience with Chayban's and so far I have nothing but great things to say. I went here to drop off a bridemaid's gown for a wedding that's in less than two weeks. The owner was very personable, professional and accommodating to the 10-day window I had to get the dress tailored. He offered me 10% off since other members of the bridal party also took their dresses there. While he was fitting me, we had a nice conversation about his daughter's upcoming wedding.I would recommend to others and will definitely be going here again. read more

I have gone to Chayban's on Elmwood Avenue several times for assistance with tailoring, hemming and other sewing needs. The staff is always very personable, prompt with the turnaround time, and not to mention super affordable! I would highly recommend. read more

I had an all-leather dress that needed to be taken in, and the worst part was I needed it for a trip I was taking in two days. They had the dress finished for me in one day (even during prom season) and had no problem doing so at all. I am in two weddings this year and planning on taking my dresses and the bridal party to Chayban's for our tailoring. Great service, quality job and quick turnaround time read more

They completed a gown alteration for me overnight in their busy season! I received a gown from Ebay in need of a hem and bust take-ins, as well as repairs to an attached train. They were fast, meticulous, and so kind! The bottom hem was as close to the floor without touching it as I've ever seen a tailor accomplish. I won't hesitate to bring them more work. Thank you so much for your last minute accommodation. You made my night! read more

PHENOMENAL!!! I had three dresses that needed alterations with a week turnaround time. They did all three perfectly with reasonable prices and they were so friendly. The craftsmanship and customer service is outstanding. I am in awe at the careful stitches and how perfectly these dresses fit and fall. This place will not let you down. They are also so kind and the tailor who was pinning my dress was hilarious and fun to be around! Highly recommend them for any and all alterations! read more

I recently took my daughter to chaybans to get her prom dress tailored.... It was about a 40 min drive to chaybans on niagara falls blvd from my house.... it was so worth the drive bc the man who owns the shop and his beautiful daughter were so accommodating and friendly... not only did they have us in and out in 15 mins, but he also charged us less and threw in a free steam cleaning on my daughter's dress.... my family will definitely be life long customers of chaybans read more

I cannot express how much I appreciate the service I received at Chayban Tailors. I was coming from California to be in a wedding and needed my dress altered very last minute. They accommodated me no problem! They rushed my order and had the dress shorted and shoulders fixed in about 24hrs. Not only did they make that all happen in that short time, the young girl working the front was extremely friendly and sweet, an absolute joy to work with. She was genuinely interested in the wedding I was in and very attentive to the alterations that needed to be made. They also didn't charge me a crazy amount even though it was rushed. I would highly recommend this tailor. The dress came out beautiful and the service was excellent. read more

Chayban tailored my prom dress. Though it only needed to be hemmed, they did an amazing job! I also looked at the other items they had hanging around which required more tailoring, and they looked beautiful as well. The tailors were very professional and friendly, and they made sure they had my dress ready in time for prom, even though I came in rather last minute. I will not consider going anywhere else but here for future alterations! read more

Took my niece to have the hem on a dress redone. She was attending a wedding out of town and needed the work done in 2 days. They had a changing room so the measurement for the new hem could be done on the spot. Price was reasonable. Dress looked great. Highly recommend this business. read more

This place is AMAZING. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. I had sleeves added to a dress for an event at a different tailoring shop. I picked the dress up the night before and the sleeves looked HORRIBLE. It ruined the dress and being the night before I was in such a panic that I would have to find a new dress. It was 3:30 on a Friday and I went to Chayban and he fixed the sleeves and made the dress look PERFECT. When I put it on it was like I was putting on a completely different dress. I picked the dress up by 5:30 that night, his service is top notch and his work is phenomenal. Thank you so much!!! Highly recommend read more

I have no idea how this place received good ratings. Maybe its been my experience, but I had taken a dress in to get the zipper taken out and new one to be put in, because the zipper was very cheap. I gave him 3 weeks! I come back to pick it up, and all he did was use a tool to put the zipper back together, didn't even replace it like I said. So I had to go back again, and say it broke again.. he wanted me to pay again! When he didn't even do the job I told him to do in the first place! So he tells me since he is so busy with prom, he wont have it done for another 2 months! Seriously? Just to put a new zipper in.. they didn't treat me very well at all. I was very upset with this place. read more

I've been going to Chaybans on the blvd since I relocated to buffalo. I recently lost 30+ lbs due to a lifestyle change, and I had these really expensive jeans that I used to fit in, they were huge. I really didn't want to just give them away. And I thought there's no way these can be tapered the way I wanted them to fit. After making a visit, and trusting these people, just a few days later when I went to pick them up, I tried them on and was instantly shocked but satisfied. Chaybans made them feel like brand new jeans again. You'll b satisfied, very professional read more

Great customer service, always did wonderful jobs on fixing my clothes. Highly recommend them for anyone that needs alterations.

After purchasing what I thought was an easy wedding dress to alter, turns out it required much more work than anticipated but never once was that an issue at Chaybans. Without hesitation, they continued to work on my dress until I was comfortable. Their level of expectations made me feel as if they were working on their own family member. They have made a lifetime customer and I could not recommend them enough! From saving money from the overpriced bridal salon to your everyday clothes, Chaybans should be your go to place. read more

These are my go to guys for any type of adjustments, they're extremely good on deadlines, and very reasonable prices. The owners a great guy and I speak with him every time I go in for a job. I've had jeans tailored and suits, and they're always done right! I recently brought back a pair of pants that were still too big after the initial adjustment and they took it back for free! The best tailor out there! I had my wedding dress altered here, and they went above and beyond. The owner was so nice. He was genuinely interested in what I had to say. Ladies, if you need to get your wedding dress or anything else altered, definitely come here! They shortened my dress and created a bustle. It looks AMAZING. Way better than it even looked before! An employee (possibly the owner's daughter) was soo very nice! She helped me zip up my dress and fasten all the buttons (a very big job haha). It was really nice having a female there to give input, and she even took pictures for me! But seriously, go here. The employees are so nice, hardworking, dedicated and kind. I trusted them with my wedding dress, and they did not disappoint! read more

The best Tailor in buffalo! A professional and great at what he does, also very friendly and welcoming place!

Chayban Tailors made my wedding day so much better! I decided I needed to get my wedding dress taken out a little bit so I could breathe comfortably at my wedding on Saturday... but I happened to decide this 48 hours before the actual wedding. On the Thursday before the wedding, I called to ask if it was possible to get it back by Friday morning and the guy (the owner, I think) agreed that it was crazy, but asked me if I could bring it in right away. Brought it in, tried it on there, and he offered a suggestion for how much to take it out. He was very, very knowledgeable and even showed me how the previous tailor had taken in a LOT in the waist (even though I asked her not to.) I was able to pick it up the following day, just in time for the wedding and the fit was so much better. The price was very reasonable too, considering the rush order. I will definitely go back for all my tailoring needs!! read more

I needed to get a pair of Suit pants tapered and slimmed down and chose Chayban's after reading reviews of many tailors in the area. Was very disappointed with the end results. I ended up paying $57 to have a few pant alterations that fell below expectations. I brought my next pair of suit pants to Tony Walker and they did a much better job for less than half the price. read more
