I started my wedding dress alterations with Rema an entire year before my wedding. At the time, I thought I was simply finding someone to alter my dress. I had no idea I was also gaining someone who would become such a special part of this entire journey. From the very first appointment, Rema made me feel comfortable, beautiful, and completely at ease. She never just saw a dress that needed altering. She saw me. She listened when I was being hard on myself and reminded me not to pick apart my body in my dress. She was always my cheerleader, always encouraging me, and always making me feel like I was exactly where I was supposed to be. She altered my girls' dresses, too, and somehow every appointment became more than just a fitting. There were conversations, laughs, reassurance, and so many little moments that I know I'll remember long after my wedding day is over. And then came wedding week. I had lost 8 pounds and suddenly my dress was WAY too big. I called Rema completely panicked, convinced my dream dress wasn't going to fit me anymore. Without hesitation, she took on my last-minute crisis and, in LESS THAN 24 HOURS, worked her magic. She made that dress fit like it was made specifically for me. But what she really did was give me back my confidence at a moment when I was panicking. She made me feel beautiful. She made me feel safe. And she helped make one of the most emotional days of my life even more special. I am so incredibly thankful that I got the chance to know her. And if I'm being completely honest, one of the things that makes me a little sad about my wedding being over is knowing I won't have a reason to see her all the time anymore. It fit well through my ribs and chest, but needed to be taken in around the hips and lower part of the dress, as well as shortened. I called ahead, and they told me to come in with no problem. They had me try the dress on, carefully pinned and marked everything, and explained that it would be ready in about a week. When I picked it up, the alterations were beautifully done. After getting home, I realized there was one small thing I wanted to adjust about the way the bottom of the dress was laying. I called, and they immediately told me to bring it back whenever was convenient. They fixed it for me while I waited, and I was so impressed by how thorough they were. They had me try it on multiple times, making little tweaks until it fit absolutely perfectly. They never made me feel like I was inconveniencing them, and they didn't even charge me for the additional adjustment. Everyone was incredibly kind, patient, detail-oriented, and genuinely wanted to make sure I left happy with the final result. The dress fits like it was made for me! They set up an account for me, checked in my items, and told me I could expect a text when the dry cleaning could be picked up, all in under 5 minutes! I decided to run errands while in Buffalo for my trip. Sure enough at about 2:30 pm, I got a text informing me my clothes were ready. I arrived, to find yet more bright happy and helpful service staff at the counter. I paid a very reasonable sum for my clothes and was on my way. He took us through all the options and ultimately was able to get this suit tailored to fit my partner correctly. The new management and staffing gave me significantly more confidence than the staff from the spring. I recommend going to this location and asking for Nate. Also, if you happen to be particularly tall, the custom suits have options that are in the same price point as the off the rack suits, and they're probably going to fit better. We learned that the hard way, but fortunately we were able to make the suit that we bought work.
