The jacket was high-quality, heavy leather, and Ali made the fitting work by using clips. He definitely has an eye for flattering the body, listened attentively to what I wanted, and made great suggestions I hadn't thought of. This jacket had to be completely taken apart to be sized down to my petite frame, so it cost about as much as what I'd paid for the jacket - but let me tell you, it was 100% worth it. My wife and I went to Italy a couple of years ago and she purchased a leather purse that she fell in love with. Unfortunately, one of the straps broke and she had worn out some of the inside lining by excessive use. Since my old tailor Alfio had retired, I had no idea what to do or where to go. Well, in the same plaza where Alfio was, Tailored To You replaced him. I spoke to Ali and he gave me options on what could be done to "save" her purse. It was not an easy job. I decided to give it a shot and I am happy I did. Ali replaced both straps (the unique style of the original could not be replaced) and repaired the inside lining. I took 3 leather jackets to have the sleeves shortened. This was a tricky job because there are zippers on all the sleeves, so the zippers had to be shortened along with the sleeves. I was not in a hurry so I picked a date a few weeks out for the jackets to be ready. The owner\gentleman helping me was very helpful and courteous. I was called that the jackets were ready over a week early. I tried them on and all 3 were perfect. The job was extremely well done. The zippers and length were great. Truly outstanding. I have had so many bad tailoring experiences in Buffalo that for years I've been saving my tailoring to take to qualified tailors in NYC or Toronto. No longer! Ali did an amazing job on two blazers for me! One was about three sizes too big and he altered it to make it look like it was made for me. I always pass this shop and I decided to take a gown there that i needed to be altered. The dress was very long on me and the straps were too big. He was able to shorten the length and the straps. I had two pairs of new pants hemmed last week. I dropped in on a Thursday afternoon and was immediately measured. I didn't have time to return until a week lately, so I can't say how quickly the work could have been done. The hemming looks great and the length is perfect.
