As a kid, I grew up driving Vitasoy drinks. So when I found out about the collaboration they had with Vitasoy, this was definitely something I had to try. I got their Strawberry Blush which was made with the classic Vitasoy drink in the white packaging. It was a really delicious drink, the strawberry flavour was a nice touch. But to be honest, $8 and change after tax for a large size is a little too much for what it is considering I can buy a pack of 6 Vitasoy for about $5 at the supermarket. It was delicious, but the price is a little too steep. Location wise, this location is a little take out shop on Yonge street. Patrons are respective of social distancing and I always see staff wearing masks while on the job with a plexi glass at the counter. Although this is a little shop, each time I visit, there's always customers in front or behind me as well as delivery drivers picking up orders. read more

Chatime - Vitasoy collab - Strawberry Blush - Bubble Tea Near Me - Toronto, Ontario

This is the smallest Chatime I've ever been to. It had it's grand opening on 2019-03-31 and it's soft opening on 2019-03-29. It is located right next to a CoCo - competition anyone?! The place is long and narrow. I love the interior decorations (very futuristic). There is only seating for 2 people so this is really a take-out only place. They had a nice display of their cakes ($4.20 to $7.50) and macaroons ($2.70 each). It seems typical of many new Chatime that they haven't established their permanent hours or phone number yet. They weren't in Google Maps or Yelp yet so I told them I wanted to add them so I asked pertinent questions. When I got to when their soft opening was, the manager got suspicious and questioned who I worked for and who sent me .... umm ... social media?! I already told them I'm adding them to Google Maps and Yelp! Sorry, I forgot to check if they had WiFi. Obviously they don't have a customer washroom. read more

One of the boba spots I tried in Toronto, this seems to be a popular branch around here, per my friends. This pace is on a busy street as usual, and the signs make it easy to spot. Inside was a clean and vertically spacious interior, and if the ground floor was too packed, you could go downstairs into the basement for extra seating. As I went to the soft opening, I ordered one of their signature milk teas with boba. The boba was sweet and soft, but the drink unfortunately was on the watery side. They do give a good portion however as you can see in the pictures. I tend to like my drinks a bit more creamy. But their options to customize the sweetness and ice level was still great. Their other teas however that my friends got were great, especially the roasted tea lattes. Otherwise, a decent tea and drinks place if you need something refreshing and sweet. read more

I work in the Yonge and Eglinton area and I've been anxiously waiting for a Chatime!! Coincidentally (or not?), it opened right next to CoCo! However, in the battle of bubble tea shops, Chatime definitely gets my vote. I find their flavors sweeter and more rich + their tapioca is delectably chewy. The store is very (very) small with only a tiny table against the window to sit down. Even with the limited space, the shop is cozy and the size didn't deter me. I ordered my drink during my lunch break and the shop was empty - that's quite the opposite if you go to their downtown locations. My Roasted Milk Tea (80% sugar and less ice) tasted great and I left feeling bubble-licious. ;-) "You had me at chatime" indeed! read more

Yonge & Eg is stepping up their bubble tea game and I couldn't be happier. This chatime is definitely better than the other bubble tea shops in the area. Since the location is new, I found that they took quite a bit longer than normal to make our drink, but that's expected for a newly opened shop. We actually came here for the BOGO promotion for their opening week but was sad to find out it's only from 3-5pm... we saw the sign advertising the bogo event when we were driving by and the timing was in a finer print so we didn't see that part. Was pretty disappointed about that actually.. since that was the main reason why we walked over. Anyway, the drink itself was excellent. I actually think because the staff are new, they put more precision into making the drink so every component was perfect. Hope they keep this up! My go to drink is the roasted milk tea with either pearl or grass jelly, 30% sugar and less ice. :) read more

Was on my way home and spotted the newest Chatime location, near Yonge & Eglington was open, even thought their grand opening is tomorrow. The space itself it's small, there is enough seating for 2 people on a bench in the window, if that's full you stand to wait for your drink. Today the drink making took longer than I've experienced elsewhere but that could be because they are still training. The menu is located on screens, which are located at peoples head height, which can be an issue if people are standing in front of it as they wait for their drinks. I got a brown sugar pearl milk tea, with tapioca. You can choose your ice level: no ice, less ice, normal ice or extra ice. I chose less ice and it still came with a decent amount of ice. You can also choose the sugar options: 0%, 30%, 50%, 80%, normal or extra. It is very sugary, not undrinkable if you like super sugary drinks but probably is if you do not. I did notice as I was ordering that you also had the option of a reusable cup and purchasing a reusable straw. The reusable straw comes in 2 colours (metallic purple and metallic blue) with its own carrying case and cleaning brush. 10% of the proceeds of the straws go to ocean preservation. read more

3/5. As you can tell from other peoples' reviews, this place is piiiinch. I honestly think you can fit maybe 10 people MAX inside (both sitting and standing). It also doesn't help that their door pushes inward, so if it is crowded people must move out of the way to make room in the shop! ASIDE FROM THAT, the service is 4/5. Suuuper friendly and patient staff. In the event that there isn't a line, they are quite the conversationalists too (which I don't mind at all). The drink that I ordered, however, is what justifies this rating: the honeydew slush with tapioca. I got it 50% sweet because honeydew is sweet enough as it is. I received a jolly rancher melted freezie lookin' drink that tasted like 100% syrup. I definitely gave them the benefit of the doubt that I was just tasting the tapioca (that of which is v sweet as well), so I mixed it a bit more and...nope, still tasted like sugar. Literally like I was drinking green dyed sugar water. It did not even taste like honeydew. As a religious Chatime drinker, it was both surprising and disappointing to have such an unpleasant drink experience. Never getting this drink ever again...from Chatime anyways. read more

My first time at this location. I'm a regular at this chain of bubble tea. No line up on a Sunday at 5 pm. They had me at Thai ice tea. Tried The Black Tie which is Thai ice tea with shot of espresso and grass jelly. It doesn't get better than this! Also got a regular roasted milk tea with grass jelly. Very nice customer care and suggestions for a non tea drink for little one. Inside is nice and clean. Feels efficient and organized. I'm glad I missed a huge line up. Overall great new location in this area. Addendum: they didn't get the less sugar option right on the roasted milk tea. Will try my tea next time before leaving the store. read more

I tried their jasmine tea with sago which was up on the board like a speciality. It was decent. I have to try others to actually decide if I want to go there. The staff is wonderful. The service is quick. But my tea wasn't that great. So another try for sure. read more

This is their newest location in Toronto. Very small store which is hidden on Yonge street north of Eglinton between all the constructions. Right now they are offering, until Apr 6, any purchase of a drink, you get a free one, (choice between 3: roasted grass jelly, QQ peach juice, honey green tea). This only applies from 3pm-5pm. Because it is a super small store, spacing inside is super tight. The staff are friendly and helpful as I see them explain drinks to some customers who have never tried Chatime before. Although I must say, even thought they have 4 staff behind making drinks, it's quite a wait even with 2 people in front of me, I waited at least 15mins for my 2 drinks. This will be their biggest downfall for such a small location and wait times are that long. Just cannot imagine how it wll be on a busier day. read more

This location of Chatime is a short walk from Yonge/Eglington station, just a bit north of Urban Outfitters & the mall. It is a small store with their menu boards on the left wall, a nook for waiting - more of a takeout spot than a sit down and enjoy type of shop. There were two people working in total and they were definitely swamped. I almost felt guilty bringing my own cup but I am on a good start for my eco-friendly challenge of 2020. The girl working cash was doing double duty - cash & prepping the cups with toppings while her colleague was doing prep and making the teas. I have worked at Chatime in university and know what a challenge that may be. Their location was aesthetically pleasing, with subway/bathroom style tile and a backlit purple logo light. There doesn't seem to be a bathroom at this location. Their pastry case was almost barren when I visited on a Saturday evening. I ordered the roasted milk tea w sea salt créma and got a large roasted milk tea with pearls for my bf. The créma drink hit the spot as mousse is made with whipping cream - definitely a more sinful post dinner dessert. I was able to use both my vicinity offers on the same bill - score! They just opened today and have a limited menu for their soft opening. I tried the pearl milk tea with regular sugar and was very happy with it. It was delicious, I will order this again. My partner had the roasted milk tea and he loved it. I wasn't a fan of the roasted milk tea I didn't find it as refreshing. The tapioca is alright, it wasn't sweet and soft enough to be my favourite, but the milk tea itself was fantastic. read more

I bought a QQ Mango and asked not to add any sugar. The drink was very watery, taste like fake mango sugar water, with the 'bubbles' tapioca has some funny tastes that don't seem to be right. It was a very disappointed drink. read more

AWFUL customer service! There was a technical issue with their loyalty program that did not allow me to redeem a free drink. Instead of asking if there were any other solutions or if I wanted to order & pay still - I was instead ignored for 5 minutes while he worked on other pick-up orders. This has been such an insulting experience and terrible customer service. Just go to the Coco next door - it is super fast and you never wait long! read more

I went to Cha Time Saturday early afternoon. I was not familiar with bubble tea and had a hard time deciding what to order. The staff seemed knowledgable when I questioned them about lactose free milk. I was offered a sample of the Cha time milk tea beforehand and it was sweet enough for my taste. I had the regular size with pearls...very delicious and I also purchased one of the reusable straws. My suggestion would be to add a dairy free option as well as identifying which drinks are lactose free. Overall a good experience. read more
