Milk tea
Erika A.

Always a great spot to get a refreshing drink! The drinks are consistently good! The service is quick and they have a lot of options on the menu.

I love "bubble tea" or milk tea with tapioca and Chatime is pretty standard. This location is always clean and not so busy so I like it. My only gripe with Chatime is that a few years ago I noticed that their flavours all started tasting pretty much the same. I know they use the same base for their milk tea drinks but the differences in their flavours have become almost unnoticeable to me now. Don't get me wrong I still love their milk tea and get it with tapioca. Good stuff and a great intro to milk tea and all the different flavours for anyone who hasn't had it before. Good starting point kinda reminds me of the Starbucks of bubble tea.

Brown sugar roasted milk tea with tapioca & mango smoothie with coconut jelly

This was my second time at this specific location. Both times, the service was fine. The servers were friendly and efficient. We did not have to wait too long for our drinks. This location does not seem to be too busy as other Chatimes. Maybe, because it's tucked behind a small plaza. The store itself was clean. Lots of seating in the back for those that want to sit in. The reason for the three stars mainly is because of the drinks themselves. The first time we got a lychee slush and a roasted milk tea with pearls. The lychee slush was lacking lychee flavour. It felt as though I was drinking sugar slush. Very disappointing. I was already driving away when I tasted it so unfortunately just not worth the time to drive back. The roasted milk tea tasted fine. Only problem was...the tapioca pearls were undercooked. :( For our second visit we went with the mango smoothie with coconut jelly and Brown sugar roasted milk tea with pearls. The mango smoothie was pretty spot on. No complaints. The brown sugar on the other hand was a disappointment. With all the hype around brown sugar bubble teas, you would think Chatime would have this down packed. Unfortunately, they do not. I found out today, they do not cook their tapioca in brown sugar like most other bubble tea places (for their 'brown sugar' drinks). Again, the milk tea itself tasted fine. The main problem was the tapioca pearls...AGAIN! They were tough to chew and just not cooked right unfortunately. Again, great place. Just try to avoid getting tapioca pearls...unless you enjoy them undercooked of course!

Leslieville

Small bubbletea shop that also serves pastries and Filipino meals…read more Their standout offering, of course, is the bubbletea. The tea is loose-leaf, so is elevated from the typical bubbletea. But it's the tapioca that really makes the drink shine with how fresh and bouncy they are. For a tea shop, this place also has really good food. Tried the scones and they were super buttery, very flavourful, and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like all great scones. We also got some Filipino meals - the lechon kawali and lumpia super crispy, the bangsilog had a good portion size for the price, and the halo-halo was refreshing. Place is mainly a takeout spot, but there are a couple of small tables to sit 4. Service is friendly. Tea offerings are extensive. Worth a drop-by.

Cookies: The matcha white chocolate cookie was freshly made. Quite soft and delicious. Reasonably sized cookie. Yema cake: It was my first time having the Yema cake so I was looking forward to try it. I got the ube flavour and a soft chiffon cake texture. It wasn't too sweet and was perfect for a nice small dessert. The staff were friendly and the service was good. It's too bad there's limited seating as it would be great to dine-in. I definitely want to come back to try out their drinks!
