After coming to Paso Robles for so many years, I am surprised that I never knew this place existed! So glad I gave it a try and of course became a member!

Beautiful and delicious Cabernet and great to been member. Enjoy every bottle of Chateau Margene cab. We'll be there for tasting in September 19 or 20th

    Every wine was incredible

Chateau Margene is 100% the best winery in Paso Robles. Everything blew us away - right from the sparkling wine to the whites to the reds. The owner had the attitude of someone who knows he's amazing at what he does and honestly that added to the charm of the place lol. Stop by here next time you're in the area and you will definitely be happy you did. Oh and they have 2 pups!

I was in town for the weekend and stumbled upon this place and it was nice and quite. I would definitely be back to visit, they also have another location in Morrow Bay that I have been to and love equally!

They are back open! It's a hidden Gem, the best Cab! But honestly I haven't had a wine I don't like here. The sparkling, the Pinot.... all amazing! It's a mistake not to stop here, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is great. They deserve all five stars.

Definitely the most friendliest winery I've been to in Paso Robles. The owner is incredible. He takes the time to get to know the customers and you can tell that he is extremely passionate about what he does! Two of the stand-outs for me are his Pinot Noir and Cab Sauv. The prices are reasonable and the wines are delicious. The tasting room is small but quaint and beautifully designed. They're located in the back roads, known as Creston. I would highly recommend this winery!

I went to Chateau Margene this week and it was the most delightful experience! They were accommodating, generous, took the time to answer all of our questions, and just absolutely lovely. Their love of wine shines through when talking about their history, their vines, and each bottle they present. The wines were wonderful and if I had a larger wine budget I definitely would have purchased more! I'm looking forward to visiting again.

    Beautiful day, beautiful wines

Best winery in Paso Robles, Rhone style wines. Love Mike and Jon Money, we've been members since they opened.

The history alone is enough to get you through the door, but the wine is what keeps you there. Pair the tasting with all the stories behind the winery, and it's easily one of the more interesting experiences in Paso. The staff is also incredibly friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The patio is a beautiful spot to taste, and if you're there later in the day, the sunset views are hard to beat. Definitely do the free cave tour while you're there. It's one of the coolest winery tours I've been on. The caves are a massive labyrinth carved into the hillside and naturally stay around 55 degrees year round, which is where they age a lot of their wine before bottling. Even if you've been to a lot of wineries, this is something a little different. At the time I'm writing this, tastings are still complimentary, which is almost unheard of these days. If you go, do them a favor and leave with a bottle or two. That's how places like this are able to keep offering experiences like this, and honestly, you'll probably want to take some wine home anyway.

I liked all five wines on the tasting menu, including the rosé, which is new for me because I don't usually love rosés. I ended up getting another glass of the Barbera after we finished the tasting. Beautiful view from their deck. We caught the tail end of their cave tour, which always fun. Overall a really lovely wine experience.

The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are always so nice! On our most recent visit we were bringing friends who were driving up from SoCal. We had made a reservation for a mid afternoon time, but as often happens in the LA area, traffic led to delays and a much later arrival time than anticipated. The staff kindly let us adjust our reservation time (twice) and we were able to enjoy the full tasting with our guests. We look forward to another visit to Ancient Peaks again soon!

We were seated at the bar, and maybe that was part of the issue. It was quite busy, with both indoor and outdoor seating filled. The wine itself was just mid. Our server didn't seem knowledgeable about what she was pouring, and when it comes to wine tasting, that makes a huge difference. A big part of the experience is learning about the wines. You're there for the story, the vineyard, the tasting notes and none of that really came through. My boyfriend is a bit of a wine snob (in the best way), and usually, if he enjoys the experience, he buys enough bottles to waive both of our tasting fees. This time, though, nothing really stood out or felt worth it. I'm sorry, but there's so much more that goes into serving wine than just pouring it. You have to sell the wine and make people fall in love with it. Unfortunately, that spark was missing here. This is a one and done experience for us.

Today, Thursday , they have wines by the glass for $5! What an incredible deal. Since I drink only white wines, I was able to get a generous sample of 3 different wines for less than a tasting! Wines are good but not as good as I remembered before they sold the winery. We had the Diavola pizza and the Porchetta sandwich. The pizza was delicious. The sandwich was pretty good but it was a little dry. We also ended our lunch with a lovely tiramisu. The tiramisu was moist with the right amount of alcohol and cream. Just delicious. Service was great. The staff are very friendly. My son has a dairy allergy and can't have the cheese on regular pizzas. The chef was very accommodating and allowed us to bring in our specially wrapped vegan cheese to use on his pizza. Thank you for this accommodation! The eatery was very calming and was a wonderful way to spend our lunch hour. They did not rush us and we felt very welcomed. Definitely will be back here again.

Once I heard what happened I was more sad but happy to hear the new owner wants to continue Vina Robles. I wish as a member I would have gotten notified. Went to their new location which was really convenient since we were going to other wineries near there. It's still a big location. Plenty of seating and they still offer food which we were happy about. Our server was super sweet and knowledgeable which I always appreciate when it comes to wine. We started a tasting and then just tried whatever she gave us which we weren't complaining. Haha. All the wine she was giving us was really good. I was really impressed by their food. I wanted more of everything. We got their bruschetta al Fresco, hummus, monte Bianca pizza, and one other pizza. I fell in love with their bruschetta. We got there right as there kitchen closed which was a bummer because I wanted more. Overall, I still enjoy their wine. Their location is really nice. Food is delicious.
