This room smells like mold, or mildew. It was kind of strange. Also, seemed like this was their shipping room it seemed very full and cluttered. There were several people that looked like they had been waiting to begin tasting. So we quickly sat down and joined the group. First, I must say every wine we tasted at this establishment was fantastic. And the other folks in the tasting room were friendly and fun. The sommelier was also the vintner. It must be said, Roger told lots of stories that were a bit off-color. I don't think it's necessary to insult or put other people down to get a laugh. Laurie was kind and friendly, and he put her down several times in front of all of us. That part of the tasting experience was not fun. I have only spent less than an hour in his presence and I know I would not want to spend more time with him. He is a classic white male misogynist with a big ego. But if Laurie is running the tasting, I am sure you'll have a great experience.

All the cool places he took us and all the knowledge he had about the different locations were amazing. I learned so much about the area I had been coming to since the 70's! I heard about Kathy & Jim's "The Bus Stop Pismo Beach" tour through a niece. I will tell you this was perfect! First, Kathy & Jim are two of the sincerest people you will meet. They both are members at wineries throughout the Edna Valley, so they know their stuff and they love (almost passionate about... ) wines from this valley. One of the sisters is a a wine lover and shared that every winery that Kathy took them too was some of the best ones to visit. Every stop we had a reserved area so Kathy put in the time and catered the tour to us. But it didn't stop there! They included an afternoon snack time at one of the wineries and they shared local products from the valley too. Again, they are passionate about their valley and it extends beyond the wine. She was very helpful and even played along when we blocked his driveway. He thought he was driving to his party. lol It was hysterical he finally realized she was there to suggest him & pick him up. When he got inside we all yelled surprise!! We had a blast! She drove 11 of us from Los Osos to for our dinner reservation at The Maverick Saloon.
