They offer great service and they have fantastic wine. My wife and I love Tuscan nights. We've been ordering their wine online and shipping it to us for the last several years. Very nice staff and accommodating. read more

We were looking downtown for a spot to taste that we hadn't been to yet and that was open after 5, and we stumbled across Pianetta! We got in around 5:15 and Valerie gave us a warm welcome and let us pick a spot to taste. I was excited to see that they offered a cheese and wine pairing, but since we had dinner plans in a bit we opted for just the wine. The tasting consisted of 5 wines, all of which were red. Our favorite from the tasting was the zinfandel, which we ended up getting a bottle of. Service was friendly and the location was convenient. These weren't my favorite wines in Paso, but everyone has their own preferences when it comes to wine! read more

Had a great tasting with really good service. The gal pouring the wine was knowledgeable and easy to speak with. We enjoyed Pianetta and would highly recommend everyone check if out. It's not fancy inside, but they are reasonably priced and provide nice value for good wine. Check it out! read more

Hands down my FAVORITE downtown Paso Tasting Room. This weekend my daughter and I were in town for the Paso Wine Festival and I popped into Pianetta while waiting for our dinner reservations across the street to see if they had their Barbara in stock. They did and I bought 2 bottles and a Jug of their Rose. Brought my daughter back after dinner so she could taste what I'd bought and she too thought it was delicious. So delicious that we came back the next day and literally sat there for over an hour chatting with Caitlin and tasting more of their wines. We walked out with 3 more bottles of wine and my daughter signed up to be a Wine Club member. Caitlin, thank you so much for taking such great care of us and for sharing your story and passion for your craft. I can't wait to come back! read more

My mom and I had the best wine tasting here, Emily was the sweetest and most accommodating! We enjoyed every bit and left with four of our newest favorite bottles of wine! Cannot wait to return read more

Pianetta was our first stop during our mini trip to Paso Robles 2 months ago. I loved (my daughter too as you can see in the photo) the cheese paring with the wine tasting. Unlike Los Angeles where I am from, some in-door places are open in Paso Robles but with great care for safety measures. It was a 100 degrees out so it was definitely nice to be able to enjoy the tasting indoors. I absolutely loved their selection of wine. I took home 4 bottles and already opened two. read more

Pianetta Winery - My daughter is enjoying the cheese platter while I enjoyed my flight of wine - Wineries Near Me - San Miguel, California

The most amazing atmosphere! Such a friendly staff and some excellent and affordable tastings!

We stopped in here on our way back to our hotel and we are so glad we did. We immediately fell in love with the place! Everyone was so incredibly friendly, we had some amazing conversation and the wine was fantastic! Pianetta quickly became a place we will come to every time we are back in Paso Robles. I can't recommend this place highly enough! read more

If I only could add a few more stars, I would. This little Gem of a place is run by the Friendliest Wine maker/Owner Caitlyn Pianetta, she's the sweetest, knowledgeable person we met all day, her dog Milly was just as welcoming, oh and last but not least, Anna equally sweet and very knowledgeable. What a great experience to finish off our day of wine tasting, Caitlyn allowed us to try stuff that hasn't been bottles yet, (Cab Frank) amazing now, can't wait to taste later. Cute & clean place, great merchandise. Highly recommend you go try this little place. read more

Nice little tasting room downtown Paso. The hostess was nice but we did not think much of their wines (something that makes this world around as everyone has a different taste) and thought the price point was pretty high, especially for Paso. It was a nice surprise to try their Sangiovese, probably our only favorite here. Give them a try! read more

We found this cute spot off of Yelp! Right when we walked in the server immediately came up to us to help us find a spot to stand/sit. She was very sweet and I'm sure she deals with tourist people all the time. Pianetta was not offering tastings when we went (a Saturday at 5pm) but their red wine by the glass was still delicious. They even had a live band which was a perfect way to end our stay in Paso Robles! read more

came in with my wife before a wedding . my first time but my wife has visited your tasting room many years ago . great wine without a doubt ! the malbec def worth mentioning but more importantly we want to acknowledge the wine server we had Nelly. she was absolutely perfect great at making us feel comfortable while still being so knowledgeable about the wines. we plan to come back and taste again soon but wanted to inform pianetta what a real gem they have working for them until next time paso robles . read more

Delicious wine. Italian style wine and done very well. Bonnie is such a friendly person and host and because of her and the good wine we joined. read more

Friendly and inviting winery! These wines were more Italian style which for me is very high in alcohol however the service was really good. What made this place enjoyable was our lovely server. We paired our flights with great cheese and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. Of course, we purchased the pink jug wine as it was a must. This winery was very accommodating but not my type of vino. read more

A bit of a disappointment when it comes to my expectation of wines. I found them a little more acidic then I would have liked to see them but still not the worst I've had before. Aside from that the winery has pretty decent selection and wines their Petite Sirah is nicely balanced but a little on the acidic side for my taste. The hours and location in the middle of Paso Robles also don't hurt, so the tasting room management seems to be very well done. read more

Great tasting bar and the staff is all so nice and helpful. Their wines are all very tasty but it's a shame they don't have any white wines to round off the tasting. Great spot to visit when in downtown Paso. read more

We decided to try this tasting room in downtown Paso Robles based on my mom my mom's wine magazines and yelp reviews. It is a small store front on 13th street with ample street parking. When you walk into the tasting room you will see art from local artists, Pianetta Merchandise, and the tasting table. Pianetta is definitely known for their reds. They grow many of their grapes on their vineyard not far from the tasting room and buy a small portion of their grapes from other vineyards. Now for our tasting experience. Our server was very new and still being trained and I could tell she was a bit nervous in working with us. She was nice, so it wasn't really a problem and if she was ever super unsure she asked another person working with her to help. There was a $5 per person tasting fee (waived if wine purchased) and the flight included all red wines. I was able to taste the following 2009 Pianette Barbera 2008 Pianetta Estate Cabernet 2008 Pianette Esate Syrah* 2008 Pianetta Petite Syrah 2008 Pianetta Estate Bilancio* 2008 Pianetta Tuscan Nights * Preferred from the list From their list I was more partial to their Syrahs (the Bilancio was a blend of Syrah and Cabernet). In general I didn't care for the wines because most of them were spicy and peppery. If that is what you like this may be the place for you. I left a little underwhelmed and I don't think I'll be going back if I visit in the future. Overall it was an okay experience. If I were to come back to the area for a future vacation, I think I would try some of the other tasting rooms. read more

First off, I love this place because it's all red wines AND the owner is a retired pilot. Being that I am also a pilot, I have to support this amazing spot! Love this tasting room, it's has a nice vibrate atmosphere with a decent amount of seating. The ladies were nice and I was able to meet the owners daughter for a quick second, as she seems to be the one running the tasting room. My favorites are definitely the Cab and the Tuscan Nights. We weren't there on a night they had an event but be sure to check out their weekly events if you're around then. And what's even better? They do happy hour glasses for $7!! Add their cheese plate onto it and you're set!! read more

Great spot with wonderful and helpful service. Also it is dog friendly inside which is amazing when it's 115 degrees outside and you need a cool spot to enjoy with your pup! The rose was delish, and the ambiance was fantastic. Also the price is just right ;) thx for a great time! read more

My wife and I are serious about wine and finding new hidden gems. Pianetta was a delightful find. Bottom line, they have some excellent red wines and the tasting with (very knowledgeable) Bonnie was exceptional. A great little in-town tasting room. Our last stop on the Paso tour and we definitely went out with a bang with Pianetta. There isn't much else that can be said than was already written in previous reviews. Their wines are all excellent. Their customer service is terrific. The tasting room itself looks small, but there is a lot of space around the square bar. They are also open till 7pm on Saturdays. I especially enjoyed (and purchased) their Petite Syrah and Zinfandel. At price points between $25-$30, you really can't go wrong. read more

My friends and I stopped here to taste some wine on our way back home. I liked that this place was low-key, and the service was good. I also enjoyed the flight of cheese they offered to pair with the wine. The only thing that would have improved this winery would be more of a variety of wines, however, they do offer some very tasty wines. I particularly enjoyed the 2014 Grenache and the 2014 Tuscan Nights. read more

Pleasantly surprised by Pianetta wines! If you like big reds, definitely include this spot on your list! Grapes come from their vineyards in Paso and Monterey County. Wide range of fruit bombs and smooth smokeys. Their Cab Sauv is a California fruit bomb! read more

Okay, it's 2017 and the wine is still very fine. If you did not take the time to visit in 2016, stop what you are doing and put this place on your 2017 to do bucket list; you will not be disappointed. It's dog friendly, so bring the doggies and create some beautiful memories with that someone you call "My Love". read more

This was a fun winery with many wines done in the Northern Italian style with clones of those grapes. The Barbera was a stand out and we grabbed a bottle to enjoy when we got home. The young man waiting on us was a hoot. Knowledgeable yes, full of flare and stories. Very personable and kept the glasses full and the tasting experience fun and moving. He certainly could handle a crowd and not leave anyone feel left out. My only niggle is that it was over 100F out when we visited and parking in downtown Paso Robles is a challenge. If you find a spot don't give it up, just walk to where you need to be and suck up a lot of water to keep you hydrated while tasting all of the wine. Added boner...tasting fee waived with the purchase of a bottle. read more

Love this place, love their wine. I am a big fan of Sangiovese and theirs is fantastic. Wine tasting in downtown paso robles is a fun activity since you can walk to all of them. People are friendly and down to earth. Once you get the shy winemaker's daughter talking, she is quite pleasant and kind. read more

Located in downtown Paso Robles is this quaint wine shop. All the reviews are dead on about Pianetta's cabs..they were great! We ended up buying their Sept. special, which included 3 different reds (cab included) for a decent discounted price. I'm assuming they have specials every month... and if so, would recommend you take advantage of them. The gal serving us was cheery and knowledgeable. She mentioned that since they are a small winery, they don't typically sell their bottles in any stores, so if you like em, buy em while you're there. read more

This is a tasting room in Paso proper but they do have their own vineyards a ways away. I came here due to Yelp reviews. The girl there was friendly and attentive. The wines just didn't impress me very much. The Sangiovese had very mellow tannins for a Sangiovese so I grabbed a bottle of that. I guess you just have to like their style of wine. I just didn't. read more

I have never done a Yelp review before but I feel the need to share when we had such a bad experience. First let me explain that my husband and I have been wine club members at Pianetta for over 10 years. We came from Arizona excited to be wine tasting again. We made our appointment and when we walked into the tasting room were greeted by a bad smell. The tasting room was in disarray and the only place to sit were very uncomfortable metal stools. We noticed the wine maker was in the room and asked to say hi to her, but she never made an attempt to come over. It was the worse wine tasting experience ever and it shouldn't have happened when there were 3 groups in the tasting room and you've been a loyal wine member for over a decade. read more

Location is awesome (middle of downtown, near many other tasting rooms and near all the restaurants and shops). Service friendly and helpful (she Yelp'd for us when we asked about Thai restaurants in Paso Robles). But when tasting wine, it comes down to... the taste of the wine. The wine here just wasn't very good. Another plus for this place -- if you go there first, they'll give you coupons to many other places (wine and non-wine) in the area. read more

Just went to the Pianetta Palooza BBQ and had a blast! Jamie did a fantastic job of putting this together. We also bought 2 cases of wine in addition to the wine club. We love Mallory in the tasting room and everyone makes us feel like family and are so welcoming! Also the tasting room is open an hour later downtown than others so that is a bonus!!! read more

Perhaps it's because we came at 6:00PM on a Saturday night, but they were only offered wines by the glass at $6 and no tasting-sized pours. There was also a platter from Di Raimondos cheese market across the street which promoted more drinking, but the lack of bar stools seemed to fit a tasting rather than lounging with a full glass. I had first tried their wine at Il Cortile a couple years ago which brought me in. The Barbera and bilancio blend both showed balance but didn't have the depth to make it worth buying. read more

We stumbled (poor choice of words) upon this winery on our way back from our initial final stop on our downtown wine tour. They had closed an hour earlier and when we peered in they waved us inside. Thank you. The space had an art gallery feel which paired well with the wine and the staff was fun. Unfortunately, the wine was meh. We ended up buying a bottle to offset the tasting fee, which was actually recommended by our pourer. People walking away empty handed must happen too often for this to happen. read more

What a lovely place. I love love love love their cab sauv! Best cab sauv I've tasted in awhile. It was just delicious. I wish I could describe it to you, but I'm no wine snob. All I know is that cab sauv is my absolutely favorite wine, which sucks, because in the three times I've been to Napa and Sonoma, these wines tended to be the most expensive wines. Dammit. I don't even know anything about wine, but I naturally just gravitate to the expensive shit. Anyways, this cab sauv is just so smooth, but bold.. And best of all, comparable napa cab sauv's run about $85 a bottle. Pianetta cab sauv is $30 a bottle, $25 if you're a member of their wine club. $30 freaking dollars! Needless to say, I bought a case. And they give you a discount if you buy a case or half a case. Unfortunately, I live in DC so I had the case shipped to work. Anywhoo... hope I don't get fired. Mr Pianetta was also super nice, hilarious, and down to earth. If you love cab sauvs as much as I do, this place is a must. read more

I own a vacation rental in Paso Robles. Pianetta is one of the wineries I recommend to my guests. I usually have a bottle of Pianetta wine "greeting" my guests upon arrival. I've know the folks at Pianetta for over 5 years and have always found them (and their tasting room staff) very knowledgable and friendly. Everyone has their specific wine tastes, so far each of the renters have enjoyed Pianetta wine! read more
