I visited Château Élan Spa with a group of friends, and unfortunately my experience this time was very disappointing. When I booked my appointment, I specifically requested a deep tissue massage and was told it would be available. However, once I arrived and met with my therapist, I was informed that deep tissue was "no longer offered" due to policy. When I asked why, she said she didn't know and added that the policy wasn't to protect the therapist. I explained that this was the service I booked and expected to receive, but she continued repeating that it was simply against policy. While I don't expect every therapist to be overly warm or chatty, her attitude came across as short, dismissive, and rude. The room felt tense, and I was never able to relax. At the end, she didn't walk me back to the pick-up point, she just pointed and walked away. The entire interaction was uncomfortable. I shared all of this with the onsite manager, Stoney, who offered a 10% discount, stating that was the maximum he could provide. I also asked that the automatic gratuity be removed so I could tip on my own terms, but he said that wasn't possible, even though the service was well over $200. He assured me that the therapist would be spoken to and mentioned that they've received complaints about her before. He told me I should expect a follow-up email or call. Nearly a week later, I still hadn't heard anything, so I called back. Stoney said they still hadn't met with her yet but that they would soon, and again told me to expect follow-up. It has now been almost a month, and I have not heard from anyone. On a positive note, the bar attendant, Ariel (in the winery), was an absolute breath of fresh air, kind, attentive, and welcoming. She is the only reason I would even give 2 stars rating this visit. This is not my first time visiting Château Élan Spa, and I've always had great experiences in the past, which makes this all the more disappointing. I truly hope they address these issues, because the level of service I received on this visit did not reflect the standard I've come to expect from this spa. read more

Went there for a "spa day" with my work team. Food was great. Bathrooms were horrible. They were old and dated, not what you would expect from Chateau Elan. Went to the spa, instead of being shown to locker was brought straight to service room and given a plastic bag for my clothes. Massage was fine. After the treatment I went to the lady's area which was run down and not clean. Locker was hard to use and several guests were asking for keys. The sauna was the size of a home sauna. I go to spas in just about every resort I visit and this, by far, was the least impressive experience. It's a shame. read more

During my stay it was very busy -- the size was unable to accompany the volume. The staff was accommodating. Clean and the aromatherapy was soothing and set an atmosphere of tranquility. This is a nice place to spend the day at château élan if you are visiting Braselton Georgia. I like that this is not your typical spa, after your service you can stay and enjoy their amenities. First that caught my attention was the front desk. Ladies are kind of rude, and they practically demanded I pay for my massage before my massage. I have never gotten a massage where I have to pay first. On top of that they charge you a 20% mandatory service fee and still expect you to tip the staff even though you haven't gotten the service yet. I appreciate that they give you slippers and a robe when you first check in. Fair warning their slippers are rugged slippers and they kind of hurt. After a while they do grow on you though. They are supposed to give you a tour of the spa, but I had to ask for mine. I got a 60 minute shiatsu massage. I felt like my masseuse was kind of judging me a little bit. She did not make any small talk with me. She did not ask me if things were going Ok with my massage or if the pressure was Ok. This was up until she saw my diamond ring then her attitude instantly switched up. Like she was expecting for more tip even though the receptionist practically made us do that beforehand. Second I absolutely hated the hot tub area! The hot tub was right smack dab in the middle of the hallway. I didn't mind that it was co-Ed, I mind that we are in our swimsuits in the middle of the hallway. There wasn't any privacy between the hot tub area and guest check-in area where you get your robes and slippers. I really like how the locker rooms had a lot of supplies we might need, and a vanity area to dry our hairs, and even straighten our hairs if needed. The spa had provided us with shampoo and conditioner and bath wash. They also had mouthwash and toothpaste, if we needed to freshen up. I also appreciated the fact that the saunas and steam rooms were inside the female locker rooms unlike the hot tub. The pool was also very nice. It was an indoor pool, but it had one side of the room was glass panels so you could see the outside onwards to the lake. If you're hungry, they also have the fleur-de-lis café. If you're looking to book a facial, I recommend doing it months in advance, I actually wanted to come for a facial, but they were completely booked. So I settled for the massage. I think if the staff was friendlier and more knowledgeable, this would have been a better experience for me. I just had higher expectations because this is a nicer establishment I'm also paying over $200 for a service, I shouldn't have to feel belittled. read more

Really disappointed! I went with some girlfriends to celebrate a friend's wedding Pros: the food was surprisingly good. Except they gave us some macaroons that were frozen in the center. Cons: My massage was pretty awful, I get a massage about once a month and this was the weirdest massage I've experienced. My masseur mostly used his forearm and rubbed his dry hairy arm over me for the majority of the massage with very little oil. Their system was down which I think they handled disgustingly. At lunch, the waitress comes to announce that my card didn't go through. Huh? In shock, I call AMEX who assured me that they never even got an attempt to charge my card. I then speak with someone else who explains the machine isn't working. They then ask me to sign a form with no price saying they can charge my card at a later time. I write on the form the amount of the lunch yet they charge my card for something else. They charged my credit card and my friend's card for the same items and I have yet to get a call back. Also, going to the massage for a day pass is a bad idea. It's one small jacuzzi, the steam and sauna room can only fit 5 people at a time and it's so tiny you can't lie down. Wish I had actually took time to read Yelp reviews vs going off of influencers.. myself and my 8month pregnant friend arrived for a what we expected relaxing spa day after driving over an hour we were excited to enjoy chateau elan for my birthday . Upon arrival when we checked in and they did not offer us any beverages or offer a tour of the facility. We had to ask. We received our massage , mine was ok and my pregnant dear friend did not enjoy hers. The spa itself is out dated , nothing special ( can stay in the city and receive the same Or better ) . The spa itself was VERY LOUD and over packed with a LARGE group . ( Friday at 10am ) . We were unable to use any of the amenities because there were so many people using the jacuzzi , the indoor pool had a private lesson going on, the quiet room when inside you can hear everything outside , the outdoor area was nice but wet so we couldn't sit out there . We then had lunch and was seated next to the same group of 15 women and we were unable to hear one another speak because of them being so loud and drunk so we asked to be moved after complaining several times . Over all with the drive, amenities not being enjoyable and food not being great ( I didn't finish mine and she got sick from the food that night) we did not enjoy our $245 massage . Luckily the manager discounted us and was apologetic but it still took away from our experience and was an not enjoyable and a waste of time. Not worth it read more

I came here with my sister for a massage and a spa day. The check in was seamless upstairs but the attendants were unprofessional and a little under trained. They were nice but just not spa customer service quality I would have expected if that makes sense. The whirlpool is right when you walk in which is odd but it works. There were no snacks available when we went which was disappointing. They do however offer sparkling wine for purchase which was nice and a bonus to be able to enjoy while walking around and relaxing. The pool was closed that day which was annoying since we had called prior about it. The women's locker rooms were very nice. The sauna was not hot enough at all, I sat in there for 10 minutes and it felt like a warm car. The same with the steam room. I let them know but they didn't seem to care. There were big cracks from the wall to the door so I'm sure that's why the heat was leaving. I found out about the quiet room from my massage therapist which was odd she told me and not that attendants during the tour. I don't think many people knew about it. I am going again in Sept and doing another spa day. I want to give them another shot and see how it goes. read more

From a guys point of view. You saw the website and are looking forward to working out, chillin in the sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room before enjoying a massage. Maybe relaxing in the jacuzzi again after. It's gonna be great, and would be, but not here brother. We are definitely an afterthought here. The men's locker room initially looks nice and inviting, until you walk around a folding room divider which is supposed to separate the locker area from the rest of the room. The locker and changing area is small - two guys at most, zero privacy, but there are 36 lockers and one soft topped bench. The floor is clean, in some spots which stand out from the rest of the not clean floor. Three guys changing in this area at the same time wouldn't be possible without awkward inadvertent body parts touching. The sauna and stream room are each as large as 2 shower stalls next to each other. Again, three guys at the same time in either one would be considered "intimately close". The steam room is also gross. Sit down, look at the floor, and think "great, I'm breathing that crap with the steam". A potential plus for some may be the occasional female employee who walks in, gets to the steam room door and says "hello?" as she steps in front of the door and peers in to make sure no one is there. That can happen twice if you're lucky, lol. Like the Inn, the Spa falls short on commonplace items. There is no clock in the men's locker room. Have a massage at 4:00? Better keep your cell phone or wrist watch with you because there's also no clock in the main waiting area. Need to use the commode before your massage? There is one seat, and no where to hang your comfy robe! Also no seat liners. You know - unlike every freakin airport or McDonalds in the world! The jacuzzi. It's located outside the locker room in "general population" and has a gorgeous view. You'll need a swimsuit, but don't expect to use a spinner in the locker room to dry it. There isn't one. Again, the jacuzzi is small and because it's open to both male and females, ya'll better know each other first because you will before getting out. When I was there it was occupied by 2 females who either had never been to a spa before, or just didn't care. Because the jets make noise, any conversations in the jacuzzi have to be loud. Because the jacuzzi is next to the clock-less general waiting area, the sounds carry and the conversation becomes a peace disrupting, group participation event. My massage was very good. I've had more tranquil Spa experiences at any Massage Envy I've been to. read more

I know this is the "go to" spa for people in North Georgia however as a bit of a spa snob I wasn't that impressed. 1. #1 ick is not being able to book online. It's 2023 and I really have to call to schedule an appointment. This almost kept me from going at all. 2. Co-ed hot tub. Just no. The location of the hot tub absolutely sucks. It's right beside the secondary registration desk. There is no privacy at all and it's co-ed. like at least close the curtain. 3. Tiny steam room 4. Tiny sauna 5. Why do I have to ask for honey for my tea? Just put it out there. 6. The spa attendants are not well trained. I got 2 right slippers and had to ask for a tour. It's not horrible and my facial was amazing however I think it's only impressive to people who haven't traveled and/or haven't been to many other spas. read more

We were excited to spend a beautiful fall day at the Chateau Elan Spa. They market a high-end experience with prices that rival 5 star spas. It was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING. Services were good, but not worth the price. We wanted a couples experience but the way they book our services was wrong. Then we were charged for "Duet services" but didn't receive them. It doesn't promote a couples experience. For example, the sauna and steam rooms were in the gender specific lounges. Also, the women's lounge and where you wait for services was not kept clean. There were empty glasses and snack cups all over. There were no towels in the ladies room. The trash cans and sandal baskets were overflowing. There were no cold towels outside the sauna area as promoted. There were used and dirty wash clothes in all the showers. And when housekeeping came through, they pushed large black carts that blocked walking areas and diminished the appearance of a high quality spa. I've been to numerous spas around the world and this one ranks as one of the lowest. Not worth the price although they most likely bank on the perception of a high end establishment due to the winery. If it's not a novelty service, don't waste your time and money. read more

This was $80......While the nail technician was very nice, this was the worst manicure I have ever received, and for $80... I am honestly shocked. The pictures below were taken only a few hours after our service. In addition to the chipped nails, cuticles, and poor paint that you can see in the picture, I left with 2 of my finger nails bleeding (and painful) and there was no hand massage or treatment that would make the manicure even close to worth $80. We were also asked to pay and tip for this service upon arrival and not after the service - I had no chance to share my poor experience. I was very excited for a girls' weekend away and had a really unfortunate time for most of it at Chateau Elan (minus the wine tasting, it was great). I had a reaction to a treatment at the spa, which was met with questions of did I not disclose an allergy (no allergies in my 38 years of life, and certainly not to pomegranate that was used in the peel). I was given a bit of a serum in a ketchup to-go container and the manager offered to look in to reducing my charge (which I did not ask for). I followed up to see about the reduction via the text service that is offered and was at first told I would receive a call from the manager. No call ever came and my final response was from the text service saying for me to see my doctor and they would follow-up with my insurance. Given I have a burn on my face, I will be following up with my doctor. If handled in any manner differently, I would not be leaving this review, but I would give serious consideration to other spa alternatives. Go and enjoy the wine - stay away from the spa. read more

We came just for the winery tour and tasting. The tour was $5 and consisted of 3 stops. Because the group was so large, it was hard to hear the guide at certain times and he didn't have a microphone. Alone I don't believe this was worth the $5. The wine tasting was 7 for $25. This was super cool and all of the wines were delicious. The bartenders were clearly overworked but they were very courteous. This part I feel like I got my money's worth. I received the winery signature ritual since the description sounded decadent and exclusive. I was ecstatic to experience a wine bath; it sounded remarkable, and it did look as luxurious as the description read. Then I noticed my hydrobath was missing the wine; the esthetician poured one bottle of wine into my bath. I was expecting several bottles as I was informed. I initially imagined a red wine filled tub but was corrected to expect 2-3 bottles. Instead, I received a tea and wine antioxidant bath in a low-pressure jet tub. Bubbles were added which I could've gone without since the bubbles took over the tub and eventually one side of the room. The hydrobath jet caused the bubbles to continue multiplying. It was a nightmare lying there as they covered my neck then became taller than my head. The floor was covered in water from the melted bubbles when I was done. On the bright side, the detox bath did allow me to sweat gallons. My skin felt silky smooth too, but due to the high temperature and bubbles attack, I only survived 10 of 20 minutes. It did get better, the body scrub and mud application were amazing. I wasn't scrubbed as I'm used to (circular motions), but the esthetician did a good job. I was then wrapped in the product for it to set for 10 minutes, it was cozy in the thermal blanket due to the heat. The eye mask experience was soothing; I enjoyed the aromatherapy treatment of eucalyptus and ylang-ylang. I later purchased the mask and essential oils out the shop due to the therapeutic moment. After the wrap, I had a delightful steam, rainfall shower. The esthetician eventually applied the natural grape seed oil head to toe which smelled tremendous but took about 30-45 to absorb. I was slippery and transferring oil everywhere. I finished my treatment with a gift shop splurge. I love the Lola Apothecary and such in the shop. It's marked up higher at the chateau, so I purchased online. I am satisfied but also conflicted due to the underwhelming experience compared to what was described. True rating: 3.5 Stars read more

I was very disappointed in the conduct of one of the supervisors by the name of Jada. She was VERY RUDE, BAD ATTITUDE, SARCASTIC, UNPROFESSIONAL AND ARGUMENTATIVE. Upon arrival I was told me and my bf were not guaranteed to be able to get a massage together even tho the reservation was made on the same order. I advised that was not what we wanted. She told me to get undressed and ask the texh brushing me away. I told her no I would like to know first before changing. She then said well you should have done it on the website I advised her that option was not on the website if so could she show me my possible over sight she rolled her eyes. Someone else had to come help me because she was no longer gonna be of assistance and clearly agitated. They also could not show me. So I asked well can someone ask the techs yes or no so she again rolled her eyes and went to go ask. She came back up and said go change. So I said are we all set together she said yes. Then she said its gonna be a price difference I said ok what the price she said idk $10. Once reviewing my car I was up charged for a service that didn't exist $30. I then said I apologize if your getting upset because I did see the way you looked. She then gave me a blank stare. Upon leaving all staff said goodbye and she then gave me another nasty look. I called in yesterday to speak to a manager and she answered the phone and refused me a manager stating she is a supervisor. So I explained why I was calling and SHE BEGAN ARGUING WITH ME AND YELLED AT ME ON THE PHONE AND SAID" I DONT HAVE TO SAY BYE TO YOU LADY. " Then she placed me on hold and never came back to the phone. I had to call back and another representative put me on the line with Jennifer who is also A supervisor but same level as Jada. My wife and I visited the spa on 9/4/2023, our experience cost more this time (holiday rate); however, our time was less enjoyable as our previous visit. If you are going to charge extra for spa services on a holiday, then you should ensure a valued experience by your guest. Sometimes there were three people at the spa desk and other times only one. There was no toilet paper in the men's locker room all day and around 5 pm a guest asked someone at the desk for some. My wife's robe had a bad stain she did not notice before putting it on, so we asked for a replacement at the desk. My wife told me there was no toilet paper in the lady's locker room and at 5 pm the towel bin was overflowing. No bags for wet clothes, no towels other than the one in the locker. Towels were not replenished in the hot tub area, I had to go to the desk to request one for me and my wife. It would help if you installed more hooks to hang bath robes. The ceiling in the hot tub area really needs attention. Hooks in the rest rooms for hanging up your robe would also help. Our pedicures were flawless, we highly recommend them to others. Our lunch was excellent and our server went the extra mile to ensure we had a great experience. The menu said a service charge would be automatically applied for groups of five or more; however, we were a group of two and were hit with the 20% service charge. I would have tipped more if it had been left up to me, but you set the amount, so I paid it. I filled out a survey and the management said come back and give us another chance. They offered us nothing to encourage us to tavel 50 miles each way to come back. We are looking at other spa options. read more

Recently spent a whole day at this spa... all day walking around in a robe, going from the hot tub to the pool to relaxation room to get a message to back to the hot tub and lunch upstairs, while still in a robe. This place is amazing and just good for the soul. I firmly believe I am a better at being a man for the time I spent there. By the time you leave, you won't believe how much better you feel. Staff is attentive but doesn't interrupt. Facility is perfect (though the men's locker room is still under construction, which was a bummer). Massage was excellent! If you are able... just go! 5 stars for service. 3 stars for facility. Some gfs and I opted for a spa and wine package and stayed at the inn for a short weekend getaway. We had a fantastic time and really indulged in the wine-tasting (maybe a little too much!), the great restaurants on site, and the luxurious pamperings from the spa team. Every staff person we encountered for our stay was top-notch -- very professional and hospitable. Our spa package included fitness classes and we opted for yoga in the morning. It wasn't the best yoga instruction I've ever had, but it was satisfactory and a great way to start our day. The rest of our time at the spa was leisurely wandering around from one room to the next. The jacuzzi is large and could comfortably accommodate 6-8 people if you don't mind hanging out with strangers. Luckily for us, no one got in with us so we had the whole jacuzzi to ourselves. The eucalyptus steam room was super nice, but smaller than I imagined. I'd say 4 -5 people max. They also have a small pool, small fitness room (but seriously, who wants to run on a treadmill on vacation!), and multiple lounge areas. If the weather was nice, a nice stroll outside or seating on the patio would be ideal since the grounds were so pretty. We got a good view of the pouring rain the day we went. :) The highlight of the spa was certainly my 80 minute facial. Unfortunately, I forget my aesthetician's name, but she was amazing! Very easy to talk to, but not too chatty, and knowledgeable. She gave me some good tips for skincare. They do try to sell you products after your service by taking you into a room with multiple products on display, but it's to be expected. My skin was glowing afterwards so of course I got suckered into buying an acid exfoliant but, why not? I deserve it, damnit! Everything was seriously great (even the cafe at the spa -- amazing salads!); however, the facility itself is getting rundown and could use some renovations. There was a huge leak spraying water from the ceiling in one of the waiting rooms and it was gushing all over the light and mirror -- which seemed dangerous to me! The jacuzzi worked fine but could use a facelift, as could the showers, and furniture. I was a very pleased. My best friend and his wife love this place, and I finally got a chance to go today during a vacation. They are strictly enforcing coronavirus pandemic guidelines, and I so greatly appreciate that. Everyone has on masks. They are so kind, courteous, and treat you with respect. They are also timely. This place is one of the best for a reason, and it is top notch. I went today for the men's foot grooming and for the euphoria massage, and both were amazing. The pedicurist, Janice, also gave me recommendations about options for caring for my feet. The attention is very detailed to the individual needs of the customer. The massage therapist, Jordan, was so kind and skilled in working out the tension in my musculature. I carry a lot of tension in my shoulders from weight lifting and from the stress of my profession, as also have low mild lumbosacral strain. She reminded me to always cool down after working out to prevent injury. I appreciate them so very much. Treat yourself to a relaxing afternoon as a solo trip or couples experiences. I am writing this review over the spa experience specifically. 10/10. My massage therapist was Charlemagne, not sure if I spelled that correctly, and she was amazing. She made me feel very comfortable and checked in to make sure I was enjoying the experience. She was truly the best massage therapist I have ever had. The person working the desk was the one of gave us a tour of the spa and she was incredibly nice, hardworking & informative. Me, being a very stupid man, totally forgot to book a reservation several weeks out and scrambled several days before.. And with that scramble, I could only book two men for our day at the spa. I wanted a woman -- because I feel more comfortable with a woman touching me -- but no other massage/ spa place had any availability. So yeah, fellas, don't mess this up like me. You. Will. Pay... Anyways, things to know: ***** I. SERVICES I bought the Seasonal Couples Ritual. It's $575 Monday-Thursday and $640 from Friday-Sunday. We went on a Monday in the Summer. Booking an appointment, over phone, was super easy. All the services are noted on their website here: http://www.chateauelan.com/spa-service-menu.html. II. LOCATION & PARKING Chateau Elan is located off of Highway 85, and plenty of signs on the highway will tell you where to exit. Once you do, you'll then find yourself on Haven Harbor Drive and see a large estate to your left. After passing through the gates, spot the spa on the your right. And like all things on the trip, there are helpful signs to help guide you. Also, since you're in the boonies, there's plenty of free parking at the spa. So no worries there. III. EXPERIENCE A) PRE-APPOINTMENT Plan to arrive at least a couple hours before your appointment time to enjoy the complimentary amenities that I'll note in a bit. Upon entering the building, you'll find the receptionist to your right. She will tell you to mosey on down stairs to where the (spa) magic happens. They have separate bathrooms/ locker rooms for both men and women (of course). It's where you'll leave all your belongings. Don't worry about bringing a lock, because their lockers have this simple keypad lock. Just remember your code. After you lock up your stuff, enjoy the steam and sauna rooms (both very small, yet clean). Outside of the bathrooms is where the hot tub is. They also give you a robe that you can wear around the building. B) APPOINTMENT I met up with my lady in the waiting room, where they have these comfy chairs. Then the two men, who would provide the services for the Seasonal Couples Ritual, arrived. (The dude assigned to me was the very large, bald, and burly man who could easily crush my body.) They led us up the elevator and to our room. And I have to admit that the awkwardness reminded me of Tom Cruise in Eyes Wide Shut when he went into that orgy party. You know, with all the masks. --Weird. We found ourselves in this dimly lit/ romantic room that had two massage tables, tub, double shower, and toilet. They gave us these thin mesh outfits for us to cover our privates. Not that I wanted to be naked with this burly man, but they're interesting. I accidentally stepped incorrectly and tore them the first time trying them on and had to ask for a new one. FOOT SCRUB: The two men came in and asked us to sit in these chairs where they scrubbed our feet with, uh, scrub salt? The burly man sat on a stool and sandpappered the bottoms of my feet, and I admit that I had a really hard time looking the dude in the face. But yeah, after a few washes my feet, he made me feel like I could hover across the floor. BODY SCRUB: We then laid on the table with chest down first, and then the dude rubbed my body with the same scrub salt. It hurt. I lost a lot of skin. There were red marks everywhere. And then he did it on my chest. "Just terrible." (Charles Barkley voice.) SHOWER: They then left the room, and we rinsed off in this immaculate shower with double, dramatic heads and all. Best part, by far. MASSAGE: We then received a massage. The dude gave me some good pressure, but his arm hair kept brushing against my face and I couldn't fall asleep. (LOL.) COCONUT MILK BATH: My lady and I then took a bath with coconut milk, and let me tell you, it's not anything special. It just feels like regular water and looks cloudy. CHAMPAGNE AND CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES: The champagne is a bit bitter (which is fine) and the chocolate covered strawberries tasted good! C) POST-APPOINTMENT We then left the room, with our robes and all, and chilled by the pool downstairs. There's not a lot of people during the day, so we had it all to ourselves. There's also a large garden with man-made pond, but we didn't bother to venture out there. Before you leave, venture upstairs to get some complimentary snacks and drinks. IV. AMBIENCE & DÉCOR The room where we received our services was quite nice. The rest of the Chateau could definitely use upgrades, though. V. PRICES Compared to other massage/ spa places, I think that Chateau Elan is competitive with their prices for their high-quality services. VI. OVERALL I think, if you have the money to splurge, Chateau Elan is a good time and is worth checking out at least once. It's a nice getaway from city life. read more

So spa day was great. It really was, but....This spa could be so much better. The atmosphere is nice and somewhat peaceful. But the quiet room is not quiet...the door latch is loud and the elevator shaft can be heard loudly through the thin walls. So much for a nap. The spa has a whirlpool inside locker room...but it's broken. There is a nice sitting area in the locker room where you can relax while waiting for your next treatment. It is a nice place to sit but look up and one of the ceiling tiles is broken, like punctured from inside somehow...what the...? Some updating would be nice. The services are good and my facial was divine! The massage they give you along with it is soothing in all the right places...like your eye socket. Amazing. The massage was nice but when is a massage not nice? The lunch was delicious but not quite satisfying. Not enough vegetables maybe. The afternoon tea was a major let down. There were no tea sandwiches and the "scones" were muffin mix shaped like a scone. Decent only because they're basically muffins. But for afternoon tea...um, no. The fruit was not enough for the people there and came with no serving utensil so people used their own forks...eeww. No fruit. Thanks. Checking out was slow and cumbersome. Not my favorite part of the day. Overall id go back because the services are really good. The robe and slippers are nice and the staff is wonderful. They will do anything to accommodate your wishes. My experience was Chateau Elan was very disappointing. Booking a spa day was a challenge - multiple calls and messages were not returned. The day of my Wine Down Spa Day package, my facial person talked through most of the facial trying to sell me products and services (not at all relaxing). My massage therapist seemed tired and like he just wanted to be done for the day - one of the worst massages I've received. They overcharged me for the package and made it difficult to get in touch with anyone to resolve this. I had to leave a message through an answering service and when someone called me back (on Christmas Eve and I was not available), the number they left for me to return their call rang and rang until I received an operator message that the number wasn't in service. I tried calling this number multiples times with the same result. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars vs 1 (or none) is that Janice, the woman who did my pedicure was warm, friendly, kind, attentive, and provided a wonderful service. read more

Expensive but worth it! Going here is always a relaxing experience. I've had fantastic facials and wonderful massages. The nail salon is very nice and the pedicurists are as well- although unless it is part of a combo package I don't know if I really think they're worth the price over traditional nail salons. I've booked half day packages and mid-week mini packages as well as solo treatments- the spa facility is always clean and the employees are really nice. I love the eucalyptus steam room and the quiet room. I also love how they have the eucalyptus in the regular showers so you can enjoy it while cleaning yourself up before you go! The sandals they provide you with are so comfortable I went to the giftshop upstairs and bought a pair (different style same brand) the first time I went! I've also stayed for their afternoon tea, which is alright, but it's just one type of pastry and a pot of tea, so it's nothing fancy like a high tea- but nice that it's included. Their Fleur de Lis restaurant is really good- expensive if you're paying a la carte instead of having it as part of a package- but their food is excellent. I love Chateau Elan, It is what I call a stay-cation where you feel like you are really away from it all but still 1 hour or less from home. My husband and I go there at least twice a year. So romantic and relaxing. The Spa is awesome! I usually get a facial and massage. The pricing is not too bad if you buy a package. There is nothing like going to the Spa there all afternoon then having a nice dinner with wine to end the day. The rooms are very nice and updated which is also a plus. read more

This review is way past overdue. I love Chateau Elan! The first time that I visited this place was when my fiance proposed to me so this place always has a special place in my heart. He surprised me with an overnight stay at Chateau Elan with various activities at the venue which included a whole day at the spa. My day at the spa consisted of: Lunch- The food at the spa is ok. Nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is very relaxing and peaceful. Couples massage- We had our massage in the Western themed room( they were under reconstruction at that time so they couldn't use the regular massage room). I was definitely not a fan of that room. The music that was played during our massage was not your typical spa music. They tried to play music to go along with the western theme and that was not soothing at all. I felt like we were stuck in the wild west and were about to be attacked by wild animals! The massage itself wasn't all that great either. I've definitely had better. Winery facial- The BEST facial ever! It was so soothing and relaxing that I actually fell asleep. My skin felt wonderful after. Mani/Pedi- My nail technician was super friendly and did an awesome job on my nails. I've been back a few times since my proposal and I've loved it everytime! Can't wait to go back again! read more
