Breakfast burrito. Perfect.

Lovely place with a small daily selection of baked goods and healthy, fresh, satisfying meals plus nice outdoor seating. I wouldn't call it a destination, but it's a great option for a fresh breakfast or lunch when in Belfast.

I liked the vibe and atmosphere of Chase's Daily quite a bit. Anchored right in the middle of downtown Belfast, I'm sure this is a popular spot year round. We downed several cups of coffee waiting on our friend, and it wasn't my fav. A step above old-school diner coffee but not very flavorful either. The breakfast biscuit I ordered was OK, but paled in comparison to a few others I'd had throughout the trip in both Portland and Bar Harbor. Same goes for the muffin (blueberry) that was forgettable and tasted like something I'd grab at an airport. The other plusses were that they have a market inside of here, and they had some baskets full of apples that we purchased. Again the look and feel of the place were super cool, it's just that the food fell a bit short on our visit.

Great place to stop for a bite, even if you aren't a vegetarian! I typically require meat to be included in all my meals, so an all vegetarian restaurant can be difficult. However, every meal I have had at Chase's has been fabulous! They have 3 daily specials and a soup to choose from and you really can't go wrong! They also have a great baked goods section and a huge farmer's market type section with filled with beautiful seasonal vegetables!

This local cafe was recommended to me and it did not disappoint! I came for a late breakfast and they had a wide variety of individually wrapped and packages homemade pastries from pear almond muffins to raspberry tarts. SAFETY For safety (coronavirus) the food prep and storage area is completely separated from the diving area. While I was there staff cleaned windows, tables and countertops regularly between customers. FOOD I ordered a potato leek frittata with goat cheese that they warmed nicely for me to dine in. It was tasty and filling so I took the muffins home to share. My family was very happy with the muffins and only wished I'd brought home more. A wide select of hand crafted beverages were available from coffees to lattes to specialty teas as well as grab and go drinks like juices and locally crafted drinks. They offer self-serve lemon infused water from a spigot and utensils (individually wrapped) in the no frills dining area. AMBIANCE The building is an older one with what appears to be original wood floors and a very high tin ceiling. Walls are painted a standard off white which would be bland if it weren't for the local artist featured who had large colorful pieces on display during my visit. They offered a variety of seating areas from diner stools to small and large tables. There was a great view of Main Street with large glass doors and windows looking out onto the sidewalk. Tables had real candles flickering away on them using the day which complimented the steel table surface nicely by making it a bit more homey and warm. Will definitely return!

Torta

Glad we stopped here on our way through town! It's surrounded by cute shops and restaurants amongst the old town buildings. Had it not been so cold and windy we would have walked around a bit more. When we arrived at the restaurant we just missed getting the last available table. However, the place looked pretty big and the host said it would only be a 5 minute wait. Within that time frame we were seated at a table and put in our orders right away as we had time to scan the menu before we were seated. The waitress was very friendly and listed a bunch of daily specials. They all sounded good but I just stuck with the Torta because it sounded good as well. The torta was a generous size, fair for a $12 sandwich, and it came with some beets on the side. I tried some of the homemade salsa but it was too spicy for me and the torta was flavorful enough. My husband ordered the squash tacos and I tried a bite...they were also very good! If you want to spend around $14 per person for a great vegetarian lunch. I recommend stopping in here!

Breakfast and lunch options include pizza at Chase's Daily. It has a very granola vibe. The layout is pretty unique with lots of plants interspersed around the building. You can also get some decent coffee. In the morning there are several breakfast options. The restaurant is on the Main Street area. It opens at certain times for break and lunch.

As if I didn't eat enough...cherry choc chip cookies(already ate one!) and a crazy good cupcake with to die for frosting.

Could this be a dream!? Walking distance from our Airbnb. Incredible selection and high-quality and fair prices. Incredible space. Savory Breakfast items & we returned later for the incredible produce, we had delicious draft beer too. 4 great friends gathering for a "big" birthday and what a way to kick it off. Friendly genuine staff. Expect to be here every day. Anyone who lives here is very fortunate to have Chase's in their neighborhood. As a vegetarian for 42 years and remembering the slim pickings all those decades ago it brings a smile to my face to see the incredible creativity and talent that is evident now & especially here

Very lively place with home made breads and sweets. Had breakfast here on a Sunday. The place was full and we had great service. Also the coffee was excellent. Four stars because the menu is limited and sitting by the front door makes for a distracting meal.

We stopped here after picking up my husband at the Trek of Maine finish line. On Sunday morning they serve breakfast which was delicious. There were many vegetarian options, our server was able to assist us with veganizing a few of them. Danny was friendly, helpful and attentive. We will visit again the next time we are in Belfast. I had a mushroom and leek breakfast scramble with tofu and potatoes. Delicious!

Flavorless dish with stupid garnish and store bought pats of butter!!! The eggs look cut out!

James Beard? Really? The restaurant is nice and the produce is pretty fresh, but the service stinks! There is a waitress there that wears a gross musk perfume and is really unfriendly! We have been there several times and really don't see what the big deal is. The food is mediocre at best and I definitely expected more of their farm fresh products on the menu. They only serve dinner once a week, which we went to last year and it was mediocre as well. I understand that farm to table is amazing, but they don't really cook it well. There are also not very creative dishes on the menu, the regular pancakes, eggs, and a bunch of beans on non-homemade tortillas. It would be more acceptable if the service was good, but that waitress is killing their business. For someone like me, service is most of the rating. The hype is better than the actual result.

Great vegetarian restaurant! I had a latte and their spicy tofu sandwich, both of which were absolutely delicious.

Chase's Daily is an outstanding find in a charming town - and has the best breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten.

Mount Desserts Pie Company had thousands of positive reviews, so we decided that's where we had to go. When you arrive, there is a handmade sign on the side of the highway for the shop and the driveway to pull in is a little tricky and takes a minute to figure it out. We pulled up right in front of the doors. Tip: turning right after you enter the driveway says "exit" only, so you have to pull straight ahead, even if it seems like you're not supposed to park there. We headed inside and were greeted by a friendly woman named Brit who had a ton of pie boxes ready to go! We got our blueberry pie and ate half of it in the car after we drove away. The pie was exactly what we wanted: fresh, local, great texture, and buttery crust. It was perfection! Another tip: it's cash or Venmo only and you can call ahead. $35 per pie. It's whole pies only, they don't sell by the slice.

The pies were still warm and she said they come out fresh throughout the day. We texted a few days ahead to place the order, which is definitely recommended. Not sure if they even have pies for walk in. They take credit or Venmo and they have WiFi available as well. The location is a quick turn off the road into an uphill drive. There are only a few spots to park your car but you are only meant to pick up your order and go.

We were only third or fourth in line. We waited outside and along the bridge; it was beautiful! The food was very good and we tried nearly everything offered. It was very fast service and friendly. The only tricky thing is tables. It would be helpful to have someone directing to tables because some people grabbed tables before they had even ordered. (The best system for this I've ever seen was at Biscuit Love in Nashville. Super long (but fast) counter ordering, and then their staff takes you to a table based on the size of your group. It was kind of amazing.)

I think there might be a life lesson in there too. We met Erin and as we were leaving met Michael. They are genuinely hospitable people who make you feel welcome.
