I've been here multiple times and got my feet done consistently by one person, one day she wasn't available someone else did my feet and basically no one knew how to do French tip without it looking sloppy except her. They told me she would do my french tip once the time came it was clear she was busy so I had to come back, at this point I'm frustrated because I already got a different design to accommodate them even tho I'm the one paying ???? I left for 10 mins came back the lady who knew how to do the French tip still wasn't done so I asked for some kind of refund because I literally had nails with no polish because the other woman did not know what they were doing. They refused, everytime I come here I tip over $5 for each service never under, I still tipped today because that's how I was raised yet there was no accommodation on my end, will never spend my money here again sad only one person can do French tip and they didn't even clean the nail polish around my toes. Service was great and the owners were super accommodating. During Covid 19, services are being done outside therefore getting a "spa" mani/pedi isn't going to happen. The fact that I could get a mani/pedi was far fetched as it is. I was just excited to finally be able to get my fingers and toes done. Sandy did the gel mani and was friendly to talk to. Did a good job of cleaning up my dried cuticles. Polish was applied well with literally no smudging or having to clean up the polish spills on the edges of my nails. Pedicure was ok. You will be putting you feet up on a rolling stool covered by a towel. Not very ideal because once you rest your feet on the stool, it shifts and you have to adjust the way you sit. At one point it was a bit awkward for my back and I had to sit back up and readjust a couple of times. I am 5'1 so I am not that tall The taller ladies didn't seem to have an issue bc they were able extend their legs farther out. It seems like the stool was a bit high for my lower legs too. Other than that, the pedicure was not bad given the current circumstances. Bring a windbreaker or a light outer layer to wear. It gets pretty breezy and cold sitting in the shade while getting pampered They used DNC for my fingers (gel) and toes (reg polish). read more

Poor customer service the place is extremely dirty. They treat their workers terrible and they do not clean their products. I recently went to get a gel pedicure and the gel polish I got was suppose to be glow in the dark my nails didn't glow in the dark. So the next day I told the manger that my nails didn't glow in the dark she started to argue with me saying I was lying because I didn't like the color and that I got a different color for my manicure. I already removed my gel polish and I went for a gel mani and regular pedi. I have a couple of nails that grow split and I asked for a silk wrap on these nails. I was told that the gel would take care of the split. It did not. I was looking forward to the hand and foot massages, this is the best part of the nail services. Not in this place, massaged my arm not my hands for maybe 10 seconds and my feet were about the same. When I got home I looked closely at my fingers and noticed that there was no clear polish on the sides and tips of my nails . It looks like bumpy brush strokes. I had to go over it with regular clear polish to make it look better. I understand that they are trying to get through with more people because they are working outside, but for the price paid $65 with tip they should just do better and take pride in their work! read more

The nail tech was a man who did my hands , he couldn't shape my nails into a square round so now they are just round . There were 2 technicians (including the owner) and the owners son lounging in the spa chairs when I arrived. The son was asleep. Clue #1. No customers. Clue #2. The owner asked me if I wanted a pedicure. I politely declined. She mumbled something in her native language to the other female tech as I took my seat. Clue #3. I tried to chat her up with small talk about her day and their color selection. She wasn't really interested. Which is fine, everybody doesn't like small talk. So let's talk about the nails. Her application was thick and sloppy and I had nail product on the sides of my fingers. So thick that there was a distinct hump in the middle of my nail and not enough towards the tip. After that, she tried to file the dried product off my fingers with the coarser side of the Emory board. Ouch! She made a statement about me of having thin skin. Um.....everyone has thin skin around their cuticles! WTH? Clue #4. I usually get gel nails and although they have them, their selection wasn't my taste. So I chose a light nail polish and a glitter color to compliment. The tech didn't like my selection (LMFAO) and brought back 2 colors that didn't match the glitter at all. And never mind that, I didn't like the colors. If I wanted mauve, I would've picked it, but I didn't, and I don't want it. Anyway, she proceeds to paint my nails in the color she chose. I told her I didn't want that. She insists that I should try it first. I firmly told her NO, I want the colors I picked out. She didn't like that and hastily applied the base coat and glitter. Sloppy too, I might add. Clue #2,345! At this point, there was no doubt that this wouldn't end well, so I asked her to apply two coats of each color to build the shade. The color dried and I waited for her to apply the top coat. She never did. She started to put away her things, unplug her phone from the charger, get her purse, etc. Okay, I get the hint. Time to go!!!!!! I asked, how much do I owe you? Her back was turned to me and she didn't respond. Now to be clear, all I needed was a fill and 1 nail fixed. Their price chart says $10 fill, $3 nail fix. She said my bill was $19, plus $1 to use my credit card. Really?!?!!!?! Her son came over to complete the transaction. He swiped my card 3 times then told me my card didn't work. I read the screen while he tried the third time and it said "No dial tone" not card declined. WTH? He then tried his card and guess what? His didn't work either. Turns out, she unplugged the machine. He's yanking out cords, resetting equipment and talking to her like he's pissed off. Even after all that, she unplugged it again as he apologized to me for their error. I'm not sure what he said to her in their language, but it sounded like he told her to sit her ass down somewhere. Anyway, I paid. I left. No tip. I won't be back. Not ever. Lousy service. As I write this review, I'm filing and shaping my nails and applying the top coat. read more

I'm a native of Los Angeles so I know all about mediocre nail salons and bad customer service. My first time coming to Charming Nails was NYE 2014 I needed a last minute mani & pedi for the night. My gel mani lasted 3 plus weeks and did not chip. Of course my nails grew but the gel polish was still neat. My pedi was also in good condition after 3 weeks also. The usual time limit on any of my gel mani are less than two weeks. It does not matter where I go or how well the nail salon apply the gel polish. 3 weeks was a win in my book... And I have been a customer since NYE 3 months later. For the location of the salon the customer service is great. The owner and her sons greet me each time I entered the salon and they are familiar with me as a customer. The prices are fair and the salon is clean. The $1 debit card fee is annoying but hey... Get cash before going to the salon. I am a fan. I would give 5 starts but their customer service for me would have to be more personal and exceptional. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place. My first time coming here, the white polish on my pedicure only lasted maybe 4 days. It could've been because of the brand of polish. Trying to give them a second chance, waiting to get a pedicure with a different color, their cleanliness is very poor. They don't sanitize or deep clean their bowls. I get my hair styled at a salon a few doors down so I decided to try Charming Nails because it was in the neighborhood and got good yelp reviews. I was initially reluctant because there are several salons on Manchester in the neighborhood and I've tried a few of them and have been very disappointed with their customer service but Charming Nails did not disappoint! The private parking lot was pretty full so parking was a little cramped but the salon is very clean and the technicians are very friendly and good. I loved their color selections and my nails came out awesome! I got a gel mani that lasted and my pedi is still fab after two weeks.
