I've been coming to Greenfield Spa Nails because I've always loved the salon and have had good…read moreexperiences in the past, which is what makes this experience especially disappointing. I had my nails done on September 4th, and just two days later, on September 6th, one of my nails literally broke while I was sitting in my car. I had not hit it or done anything that should have caused it to break. Since the salon is close to my workplace (although I do not live nearby), I scheduled a repair appointment for September 8th during my lunch break. Unfortunately, September 8th was also closing day for our new home, and my plans changed unexpectedly. I had to leave work early and had my belongings with me, so I was unable to call the salon to cancel my repair appointment. I completely understand being frustrated that I missed an appointment, and I take responsibility for not being able to call. However, I tried to explain the circumstances when I came in, and I felt there was very little compassion or understanding. What was especially disappointing was the attitude and energy I received from both the front desk and my nail technician. From the moment I walked in, the interaction felt cold and uncomfortable. The front desk employee seemed upset with me because I had not answered their call while I was dealing with the closing of our home. I understand that they had tried to reach me, but I was in the middle of one of the biggest and most hectic days of my life. I would have appreciated some understanding when I explained what had happened rather than feeling like I was being treated as though I had intentionally disrespected their time. I want to make it clear that I have always enjoyed the staff at this salon. I especially enjoy catching up with two of the front-desk employees -- the gentleman and the girl with the long curly hair -- and I've always felt welcomed by them. That is part of why this experience stood out to me so much. The energy and attitude I received this time felt completely different from the experiences I've had with them in the past. What was even more frustrating was that this repair appointment was an inconvenience I never should have had to make in the first place. I had just gotten my nails done four days earlier, and the nail broke on its own without any impact. I have never had an issue with missing an actual appointment or not showing up, and I have always made the effort to be respectful of the salon's time. My appointment was scheduled for 12:45, but I was not taken back until around 1:30. I was then told that my nail technician had been booked for another appointment because I had missed my repair appointment. I was already there during my lunch break trying to have the nail repaired, so I would have appreciated being contacted beforehand if they were no longer able to accommodate me. I was also charged for the repair. Normally, when I have needed a repair, I have not been charged, so given the circumstances, the charge was especially disappointing and made me feel as though I was being treated differently because I had missed the earlier repair appointment. I understand that businesses have policies, but I would have appreciated clear communication about the charge and a little more understanding of the situation. I work in healthcare and deal with appointments and cancellations every day, so I completely understand why policies are necessary. At the same time, we also understand that unexpected situations happen, and we try to hear our patients out and show compassion when they do. I was hoping for that same level of understanding as a longtime customer. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning. I'm not leaving this review out of anger, but because I believe businesses should know how situations are handled from the customer's perspective. I genuinely enjoyed coming here in the past, which makes it disappointing to leave feeling this way.

The receptionist said yes and took down all names and services. When we arrived, all staff members were ready to attend to us and they opened up the second part of their suite so it was more private for us! They were very on top of things and the services they provided were the exact same as I have received when alone - long massages, taking their time on cleaning, and the designs were exquisite, etc. I was very pleased and I know a few of my local bridesmaids said they want to go back more regularly!

The manager who answers the phone and runs things did the WORST job on my nails. Instead of fixing it she tried to make excuses and said I hadn't JUST been in, laughed at me and made fun of me to the customers in the store. You wonder why you don't keep clients, I can give you a big long list. The only good nail techs are the 2 younger women and the one older woman. I came in late on Friday. They originally said they would do a pedicure and gel manicure. I got a pedicure from the older woman and she did a good job until she messed up and took a chunk out of my big right toe. Then they said, "oh you pay for both and come back tomorrow for gel manicure." I was a regular at this Nail Salon so I agreed. I went back and they were all just sitting around. The manager did my nails and they looked like crap. She didn't paint all the way down and then blamed it on my nail growth. Really?? I've included pictures of the chipped nail on a 6 day old gel manicure and the pedicure done the day before. It makes ZERO sense that she would tell me it was my nail growth when it was her poor work and I was upset about her bad work since the day she did it. They have lost a regular, every 2 weeks, customer because of how the female manager handled the situation. She should have fixed her poor work and done a good job like I paid for.

After 30 minutes, my friend asked if they would do our pedicures anytime soon. They finally started working on my friend's toes and my nail tech came afterwards.
