Soooo I haven't been here in over a year. My impressions of this salon is that it's gone downhill over the years. Although it has gone under new ownership I personally feel like I won't be returning again. Don't get me wrong, the new staff is friendly and they did a good job on my toes but I just felt like I couldn't really relax. There were flies everywhere and it was kind of hot in the salon. They had a fan but all it did was blow around hot, muggy air. I like the fact that there wasn't anyone there when I went so I didn't have to wait. I also liked how the girl who was doing my toes was very personable and didn't rush with the massage. Went for acrylic appointment, waited a full 30 minutes for the tech to show up to work. She was grumpy the entire time. Seemed irritated every time I moved my hand the wrong way when switching hands. Finger nail chipped after 1 week. By day 17 had a different nail lifting entirely. Yes it's a beautiful place and very clean. The online appointment process is nice. I called and made a 1pm pedicure. When I signed in the ladies working said there was no appointment and they were 45 minutes out. Called the appointment line back and this was the conversation "oh, they must be busy now. can you wait? When I said no, he said "sorry, have a good day. Click". Clearly the scheduling is not followed and they will say yes to pack in. you might not value me as a customer, but there are plenty of other places for me to get a pedicure. Worst nail experience of my life! I've spent a year and a half growing out my natural nails with no breaks only to come here and have my nails broken and snapped and had to get tips put on. The skin around my nails is raw from being filed, my nails are crooked, and the dip manicure I received is thick and bumpy. The color is uneven and patchy. This was a physically painful experience. I left almost in tears I was so disappointed. I took my mom with me as a mother's day gift and after visiting, she now has FUNGUS on her nails. Really disappointed in my experience here. Came for my daughter birthday so she could get her nails done for the first time and they were sweet to her re did them twice when she smudged it but my sister was snipped with the clippers and my nails from the start weren't applied to cuticle and were bumpy. She asked if I wanted gel for them to last longer since I'm an aesthetician and do treatments but literally have been off the past week due to family in town and they peeled right off!! There were mosquitoes flying around and no one seemed to care about it, when I mentioned that I wanted my nails coffin the lady told me that these nails were and then I asked her to make them skinnier towards the tip and she did not because she told me that was what was wrong with my nails last time but that was not the issue. I was in acetone most of the time I was there and it dried my skin out bad, I had advised before that I had gel on and they didn't remove it before the acetone so that made me have to keep them in longer. Finally found my go to nail spa! Cindy and her staff are the best. They are maticulos and take their time to do a job that they can be proud of, and the customer will be fully satisfied with. Comfortable, friendly, fair prices (especially for their time), TONS of gel and dip powder colors! Was sat down and got acetone to soak my fingernails. After ten minutes, the full set was removed and I was left with my fingers in the acetone still so I pulled them out and waited for her to come back. After 10 minutes and asking the gentleman if anyone was going to help me, he said she just had to finish a pedicure first then would come back to me. I waited ten more minutes then walked out because no one had helped me after sitting for 20 minutes. No one even said a thing as I walked out. Ended up going to Venice Nail Lounge and received excellent service and the best full set I've ever had done. Would never return to Charlie's nails. read more

This salon does an excellent job. They are always friendly. I can go months without going in and they remember me and my daughters, if I go without the kids they ask how they are doing. They will customize my nails and offer recommendations because I am not aware of what is in. For example, the dip option: they educated me on how it works and the next time I came back I asked for them to make them thinner and they did, so they looked more natural! They are very patient. They offer a punch card so you can get a discount after a certain amount of visits. Every visit has been a 5* rating for me. read more

Place was super clean. Only one of the four women seemed to speak English so everyone had to check in with her to see what I wanted. I used their online check in to book my appointment for a Classic pedicure. They didn't confirm anything about checking in online and just had me pick my color and get me seated. I really enjoyed that the lady who did my toes took her time, however when doing the lotion and massage there was never no movement on my feet just my legs, which usually they massage the feet too. She took her time and I was there longer than the 25 minutes they say it will take which was fine. My main issues I do have is that my toes were filed but not shaped with what you expect. I would go back if needed somewhere to go last minute, but not somewhere I would make my usual nail place. My usual nail place is closed on Sundays so wanted to give them a try. read more

Waited an hour on the chair with water running (didn't even offer their complimentary stuff) once they got to us they rushed our service. The prices are decent but they do over charge for gel polish, almost $20. I got a french classic pedicure which was $40 (not bad) that was just with regular polish, the person who was doing my nails keep on trying to get me to do gel polish & when i told her no it looked like she got bothered because i didn't go her route. My niece got the princess package pedi/mani which was about $32 she got gel polish & for both it was an additional $36 total of $68 just for her service! Mind you on either of her services got any sort of massage or anything they rushed her out & her manicure was not even done properly she still has her cuticles the same way as she had it when she walked in. First of all I would say that my first three experiences here were great. So this makes this review that much more upsetting. I've been going to the same nail salon every two weeks like clockwork. This time I get a new technician and all of a sudden everything becomes an up charge. After my $65 up charge just for powder on my toes, in addition to the $25 for the original pedicure. When two weeks before I got the same service for half the costs. So yes that is a $90 pedicure for those of you wondering. Also my nails by which I've been getting done again for the last three times in a row. New girl all of a sudden decides that my length is now double the price. So jumping from $25 one-week to mo $50 in exactly 2 weeks seems a bit absurd. And when I asked for the reason she just claimed that my nails were "long". However, my nails have been the same length for the last three months. When I try to get her to double check her math not only for my services but my friends services too. Because his also ended up being $80 for a basic manicure and pedicure, and oh don't forget the extra five dollars for buff. Needless to say I will not be returning due to their inconsistency in pricing and their inconsistency with my request as well. Did I mention that after she got wax in My $120 eyelash extensions and tried to get it out while removing several lashes without so much of an apology. She just stated that "We do lashes too ". Excuse me, so you take my lashes out so that way you can have the opportunity to replenish them. Not in this lifetime. I probably wouldn't have been as upset if she also didn't swipe my card abruptly without me confirming the price. If she had at least given me what I wanted I probably STILL wouldn't have written this. But it took three times for me to express to her my preference on sharp coffin nails. While she continued to ridicule my decision and preference, she still continued to shape them to HER LIKINGS. And tells me I better watch out for my sheets tonight. Although appreciated, her advice was unsolicited and unnecessary and therefore not my preference. So if you want to go to a place where they tell you how your nails should be worn and up charge everything down to the lotion. Just kidding, but who knows where they will stop. The place is quiet for a reason and my mother used to always say " if there's nobody in the parking lot, it's probably because the food is not good". Well the food ain't good. I have been going to the salon since the week they opened. And unfortunately my last three experiences have been very disappointing. The first two times out of the three I am referring to I asked for gel and both times the gel peeled off the next day and my nail beds were destroyed. So I gave it a month or so and went back and decided to ask for dip thinking it might've just been my nails considering I typically get dip anyways. And while I was there the client next to me was getting her nails done by the same technician who did mine and she was very unhappy with the results and even then I wasn't nervous and decided to give this technician the benefit of the doubt and when she did mine she rushed through them and it wasn't even a full manicure. No cuticle oil, no cuticle care whatsoever, no lotion or hand massage. And afterwards she did not clean up my nails in anyway shape or form. She did not shape them very well, they're very very thick and bulky, and I had glue all over my fingers that I am still trying to peel off two days later. When I went to check out I brought this to the attention of a different technician and she tried to get the glue off but again was rushing as there were other clients to still get to, unfortunately even she couldn't get all of the glue off after scraping and filing the glue off my skin. I did pay for my services and was grateful that the other technician tried to remove the glue, but I am very very sad to say that I will not be returning to this nail salon. I will not assume that it is because of new management however the timing doesn't play well in their favor given all three of these experiences happened since the new management change. I'd love to continue giving them the benefit of the doubt, I've heard one of the girls named Lena is incredible! However I'm just not willing to continue paying for their services as I'm not getting what I'm paying for in regards to quality or what the manicure actually entails. read more

I have never been to a nail salon as amazing as this one. My friend and I came in yesterday to get our nails done. I had acrylics on from a different salon and I originally came in thinking I could get a fill. They don't do acrylic at this salon and at first I was shocked, but the owner explained how much better SNS and other products are for your nails and why she doesn't believe in acrylic. I can really say that I feel the same way now! Usually when I get my nails done there's one or two things I'm not happy with like uneven coats or a little mark on one of my nails; but after going to her salon yesterday there is literally not one thing I see wrong with my nails. I am so happy with them! I wish I knew my gals name so I could give her credit. She really took her time taking off my acrylics (soaking them and using the drill) my natural nails under my acrylics were long and weren't damaged at all after removal. where other salons would pick them off leaving my nails extremely damaged and in pain (ouch!!!!) anyway, the salon is extremely clean and has a ton of dip colors to choose from. BTW it's $35 for a full SNS set!! That's the best price I've found using dip powders!! The owner is totally genuine and straight forward which I loved, she really knows what she's doing. I'm so glad I found my new salon. OH ANDDDDD they have punch cards!! How neat is that?! read more

They do a great job but their prices are VERY high for all of their services. All surrounding nail salons who also do powder dip are about $10-15 dollars cheaper, and if you want gel polish on your toes it is an extra $20! Too expensive for the same work around town. read more

Would not recommend if you want healthy nails! This was my second time there to get a nail removal only. The first time I had Gels polish and the nail technician literally ripped and clipped the nail polish off without soaking or filing. I was horrified and my natural nails were extremely thin and hurting a couple of days after the removal. (This was maybe about a year ago). So I thought I'd give them another chance since they are right down the street from me and went again last weekend to get an acrylic removal. They asked me like 3-4x if I only wanted an acrylic removal , which I expressed is the only thing that I wanted to get done. Seemed like they started gossiping and look around at my nails for "just coming in for a removal". Anyways, since I don't understand the language I can only assume and express how I felt and just thought okay whatever until the technician (a different one than the first time I went) started to remove my nails. She literally started to clip the top of the acrylic, then tried to squeeze an acrylic plastic tip in between my natural nail and the acrylic to lift the acrylic part. She literally kept pushing so much, that I started feeling like she was going underneath my natural nail and it started to hurt. I told her again, that these were acrylic and that this is hurting me. She did not apologize and just mumbled something, then finally proceeded with the actual process of soaking them and filing/buffering the acrylic part. I was just in shock and wondering what type of procedure this is. Like is it because I only came for a removal which I still pay for? If this is something you don't like, then you shouldn't offer removals only. I will never go back for any type of service nor would recommend to anyone. Service was ok but their work was horrible. I went for gel color on my naturally long grown nails. When I first left I was pretty happy as they seemed to have been pretty precise in getting corners etc but did think that the nails looked pretty thin compared to other gel manicures I've gotten. But then within one day I somehow broke one nail in an office environment job! I go back to get it fixed as their work barely lasted a day and they tell me that they can fix it with doing dip nails on that one finger. I'm like okay but they shouldn't have broken at all (so easily) with a gel manicure. This place left me speechless. I arrived on a Friday 5:45 pm, called prior to arriving and they said come in. I was getting a pedicure and selected the "middle option" $35 for the type I wanted. First, the pedicure lasted 25 minutes! I did not pay for an express pedicure so I'm really not sure what the rush was. There were 3 employees and 3 customers. My only guess was the tech was rushing to go do the customer next to me's manicure since she was getting sns. Apparently what you pay determines what service you will get. I did not get asked if I wanted my toe nails cut and my calluses were barely removed. The lotion massage was done to both legs at the same time, resulting in a few minutes. The worst part was the paint job! I let my nail dry 15 minutes and was ready to leave when I noticed how botched my paint job was. I thought for sure they would come over and clean it up but no, I sat there and waited.. and waited. Until I finally asked for them to be cleaned up. Talk about awkward and making the customer feel uncomfortable. The tech took out a brush with remover and did something? Honestly not sure what to my nails and then looked at me and I had to point that the nail polish was on my skin and not on my toe nails. She put on a top coat and told me to wait 5 more minutes.
