The whipped cheese and pastry were DELISH, and the burger and crab brik were devoured by everyone at our table. The only reason I give this place a 4 star is probably the food to price. The cocktails and wine pricing I feel is very good. The food however... We got the 70 dollar per person and let the server give us a taste of the restaurant. Some were delicious and some were just Ok. The inside is bright, airy and inviting and quite large. There is outdoor seating too. The U-shaped bar holds nearly 20 people and if you've been to fit in Fin & Fino, it's got a similar set up. The drinks are well balanced, and ones that you can't just get anywhere. One, the Peace & Friendship, is an olive oil washed daiquiri with capers, mint, basil in lime. There are new and old faces from the other restaurants behind the bar. Outside is the only spot with TVs and there are some overhead heaters on the patio as well. The menu is full of variety. It's mezze, tapas and small plates with a few larger shareable dishes. Some dishes we got for the blistered Anaheim peppers, fennel frito, seafood salad (shrimp and octopus), skate wing and charred broccoli on pine nut romesco. There was a bit of a wait so we decided to sit at the bar, which has plenty of seats. The service at the bar was excellent. The Peace & Friendship cocktail was unique and delicious, our favorite drink of the night. We had the spicy tuna crudo, the blistered Anaheim peppers, the seafood stew and the skate wing, which was plenty of food for two people. All were great, but the skate wing was definitely the stand out. The restaurant has a really open layout and there is a nice patio as well. This is definitely not the place for timid or picky eaters. However, if you're foodies like hubby and I this is a perfect place to dine! Do not pass up the whipped ricotta, I daydream about it and their bread all. the. time! Harissa mussels and lamb gnocchi are so good too. This is a once in a while spot for us since it is a little pricey for smaller, tapas size portions, but service, location and flavors deserve 5 stars. read more

Chapter 6 exceeded my expectations. The ambiance is great, bar area is large. It's part of the restaurant group that owns Dressler's and Fin&Fino which are other favorites of mine. We chose "The Treatment" for $70/person to taste the menu mentioning any items we were eyeing and anything we did not like. Our server, Leslie's selections did not disappoint. We had whipped ricotta, melty nduja, chicken thigh skewer, lamb skewer, harissa mussels, braised pork cheek, charred broccoli, rigatoni, and hanger steak! Everything was so flavorful, meat was tender, and the bread served with it was also delicious! We had a couple cocktails and a reasonably priced perfectly paired Portuguese wine picked for us by the sommelier. I was so full by the end, but what an experience! Can't wait to go back!! read more

This place is insanely good. I can't lie, I was scared to try some of the food because I am a bit of a picky eater, but I tried everything and am so glad I did. Everything was fantastic. My favorite was definitely the gnocchi and lamb, but you can't go wrong with anything you order. Service was fantastic, both the waiters that helped us were super great and quick. We made a reservation for adults plus a stroller and they sat us in the back corner so I was very worried the service wouldn't be good but the staff was excellent. Our server even got us items that weren't on the menu because we enjoyed a side so much. Drinks were good, and they had a full bar so we were able to order regular mixed cocktails. We went to Chapter 6 for their Feast of Seven Fishes. We each had 3 cocktails so we tried almost all of their menu and all the drinks were delicious. The food courses were also delicious. However, each dish took 20-30 min to come out so we were there for a total of 3 hours. It was really way too drawn out (hence the 3 cocktails each). They did notice at the end how long everything was and provided a free cheesecake as an apology which was very kind. read more

We have enjoyed Chapter 6 twice since it opened. Love the ambiance of the restaurant. It is a beautifully decorated space. The lamb skewer is amazing as is the melty Nduja. Recently had the ricotta goat cheese gelato at the bar manager's suggestion. So glad he recommended it because it was amazing. Try the "Shorties", a variety of cello cocktails. Can't wait to go back and try more of the food and cocktails. read more

I've never liked octopus so I had 0 faith in this dish but it was delicious. 10/10. The gnocchi and lamb was also delicious. 8/10. The wagyu tartare was also good, but nothing special, 7/10. We are big fans of the Rare Roots restaurants and have eaten in them around 100 times over the years (including Dogwood, RIP). Chapter 6 was the only one we had never been to so tried it for brunch today. It was by far our least favorite of the Rare Roots restaurants. For one thing, the music (90s Grunge/Alternative a la Nirvana and Offspring) was VERY LOUD, to the point that we were having to repeat every sentence because we couldn't hear each other over the music and bad acoustics even when practically yelling. (Coincidentally, we had eaten at Porter's House last week and commented how much we liked the 80s Alternative music they were playing at a much more reasonable volume). We were hoping for a nice, pleasant Sunday brunch, but the eardrum-crushing volume ruined that vibe before the food even arrived. Moving to food, we tried quite a few items and didn't really love any. The chicken sandwich was just ok, fairly bland, but fell apart into a messy catastrophe after each bite. The fries were too think and undercooked--soggy, limp, insipid. We wasted most of them, which is something we never do. The crab brik was not a great flavor and was suspiciously absent any crab. The pistachio croissant was not great and wasn't helped by the off-putting black peppercorn on it. The whipped ricotta was nothing special; the pesto was nice but beyond that forgettable. We decided not to order any more after that because we were just not impressed at all. As a pet peeve, we arrived to find that the menu was different from what was posted online; several of the items were more expensive and some of the items listed on the online menu that we wanted to order were not on the menu in person (e.g., mussels). One more odd point: the bathroom was suffocatingly warm for some reason. After being in their 2 min, I felt sick afterwards because it had been so warm. Not sure what was going on. We'll still visit Dressler's, Porter's House, and Fin & Fino often but definitely won't be back for the Chapter 6 brunch. Perhaps we'll try the dinner, but it's doubtful. read more

Went to Chapter 6 on a whim with a group of friends. All of us live in the Greensboro area, so we had no idea where to go. We are beyond grateful that our "faithful leader of finding food" found this establishment! We decided to go for "The Treatment" - our server and the chef would surprise us with a culinary journey of flavors. We were excited, but we had no idea what the adventure Gil would be taking the five of us on would behold. Warm olives, crusty bread, confit garlic, sherry braised pork cheek, tuna crudo, melty nduja, blistered peppers, baby octopus, skate wing, melt-in-you-mouth gnocchi, harrisa mussels, pork shank, desserts upon desserts...the food just kept coming! Each dish was exploding with new flavors and arrived with thoughtful presentation. The meal truly provided us a "mosaic" of experiences, as well as time to slow down to enjoy feasting and enjoy one another. Two in our party are pickier eaters, and they even found that they loved things they NEVER would have thought to order for themselves. Chapter 6 is a crowd-pleaser for self-proclaimed foodies and simple eaters alike! And if Gil is working, snatch him up as your server.
