We really enjoyed this restaurant tucked away in NODA. It's a perfect place for date night. There's vibes, good food, and service. Don't hesitate- check them out. Their fries were so good, I had to steal my husband's fries!

First time here and it lived up to expectations. It must be newer because I'm always in the area and hadn't heard much about it. Food was INSANE. So delicious. I will say it's a bit pricey, but I'd consider it worth it. We got every item on the menu and not a single one was disappointing. The place is also super cute and large, but it did get a little loud. They have a massive outdoor area and a bar separate from dining, so lots of seating options. There were a few gnats that found their way inside and near us that got annoying but it was a beautiful day with the doors open, so that's natural. The waitress was super nice and knowledgeable - and it was her first week on the job! Impressive training for staff. Can't wait to go back!

My manager and coworkers took me to The Goodyear House for my birthday, and it was such a great experience! I currently live in the NoDa area, and this restaurant is right in the heart of it. If you're from Charlotte, you already know how cute and lively NoDa is, and The Goodyear House fits perfectly into that vibe. The restaurant itself is adorable. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor area is especially nice. There's an outdoor bar, plenty of tables, and even heaters to keep you warm if it's chilly. It's such a cozy and inviting space, definitely somewhere I'd go back to again. From what my coworkers told me, their menu is a bit limited and changes occasionally, but everything we ordered was good. We tried several appetizers including the fry bag (we got the garlic parmesan seasoning, which was delicious), some rice balls, and the shrimp appetizer. Everything came out quickly and fresh. For my main dish, I ordered the Goopy Burger. I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10. It was good and definitely worth trying. Everyone else got different dishes, and everyone seemed happy with their food. Our waitress was fantastic, super friendly, cute, and really made the experience enjoyable. The service overall was excellent. They even offered me a free dessert for my birthday, but I opted out, and instead, she brought me a complimentary glass of champagne, which I thought was such a nice touch. The only downside is the parking. There's no dedicated lot, just street parking. Some people park across the street at the YMCA, but I heard they charge through ParkMobile by license plate. If you're coming with a group, carpooling definitely makes things easier. Overall, The Goodyear House is a charming, cozy spot with great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. Perfect for birthdays, casual dates, or just hanging out with friends. I'll definitely be back!

Took my man here for a night during queens feast and we loved the interior and had the most fantastic food! I LOVED the rice balls, seared cauliflower, and brownie dessert. Service was great even on a busy night, it was so cute inside as well!

Cute spot in Noda. If the weather wasn't so hot, it would be really cute to dine outdoors. Our party of 9 had a nice table inside though the flies were really coming at us. Midway they gave us some of those automated fly swatters that helped a lot. To start, we ordered their crispy rice balls and marinated shrimp. The crispy rice balls were pretty good, a nice kick from the romesco. The marinated shrimp was also such a variety of flavors with butter, chili oil, and bay seasoned saltines. Really good. I had the No Rain cocktail but I didn't taste the alcohol at all though it was very refreshing in the humid weather. After that, I had glasses of their brut which was perfect. For my entree I went for the shrimp and grits as it's always a must for me when in the South. However, I didn't care for this version. Wasn't a fan of the tarragon or tomato sauce. I'm sure others like the change of it from your basic shrimp and grits, but it wasn't what I was looking for at all. Dessert I had to try the buttermilk panna cotta but it was too watery for me. Service was pretty good from beginning to end.

While visiting my son in Charlotte, we were heading to Noda for dinner. We had one place in mind, and on a whim, decided to stop by the Goodyear House to see what they had to offer. Great decision! There were plenty of good options on the menu and a beautiful setting to enjoy it in. What we ate: The garlic-parm shaken fry bag as an app. We both went with the Flounder as our main dish. Cooked to perfection! Our waiter, Nathan, was a trooper. He was walking around with a boot on his foot, but provided us service like being in the company of a friend. He was friendly and polite. A conversationalist who made us feel so welcomed and made our dining experience inviting. The setting/scenery: There is indoor and outdoor seating. From the entrance, you're not able to see how large the space is. There outdoor area is huge and provides the perfect backdrop for a wedding or other gathering. They have a greenhouse which is there closed off area for gatherings with a play area right behind it. The greenhouse reminded me of a farm-to-table gathering I'd seen before. Overall, The Goodyear House is a 10/10. Great if you're dining alone or with others. Definitely a spot I'll be visiting more often.

First time here and not sure if I'd come back; Be ready to spend $9 on parking; That's anywhere in Charlotte; Reservation was placed, arrived early. Upon getting greeted by hostess, not so friendly. We got seated and the room was loud with several groups; The menu, on a Sunday not much to choose; The food arrived, as you can see the wedge salad with chicken was alright; My husbands burger burnt; A nice restaurant, just the food didn't come out tasting right. We may give it another shot another time.

Our extended family group of 4 adults and 2 kiddos came in for brunch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. We were seated outside under the massive pine tree at a picnic table. It's a great setting, both inside and out. Our server was very nice, welcoming and checked in on us regularly. The food was great as well! The SEC egg sandwich is fantastic! A great combo of eggs, meat, and a great sauce. The waffle was a soaked in syrup plate full. The shaken fry bag was a hit. The lil Goopy was plenty big for the 9-year old. The breakfast taquitos were delicious! Egg plates that a couple of diners got were also very good, and the sausage was a real fav. Definitely recommend brunch!!

Great food & drinks, awesome outdoor patio with live music, kid friendly.. oh and they have bocce. Usually you have to sacrifice good food for a nice outdoor, kid friendly restaurant but that is not the case with the Goodyear House. We had the shaken fry bag (garlic parm flavor), cashew Mac n' cheese, and the bucatini pasta dinner dish. It was all delicious and our server was so nice. We will be coming back!

This place had really nice outdoor seating. It had been on our list for a while. I wish I could give it a 3.5 star rating. The team was nice and accommodating. The reason for the low stars is the lack of options I felt on food. Most things had pork in it, which I don't eat. It was very limited on vegetarian or seafood/chicken options. I enjoyed the trout, but I felt it was overpriced for what it was. None of the dishes could be customized (like getting shrimp and grits without pork). Overall, it's a good place to check out if you are into adventurous foods.

Came in on a Thursday afternoon and was immediately sat down. Staff was very kind and knowledgeable. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. I would be cautious tho to sit under the trees because birds might catch you with their business lol. We had a couple close calls. Anyways, we were recommended the elotes and the crispy rice balls to start. They definitely didn't disappoint (4/5). We also go the Mac and cheese (4/5), shrimp and grits (4/5) and goopy burger double (3/5). Burger was okay. It had their own version of Mac sauce and I got a double but would've been good with just a single. Patties are thick. Not like a smash burger. Shrimp and grits and Mac and cheese are great and shareable. As for drinks, we just got some local beers but I would definitely come back during brunch times. I think it would be pretty lit. Good vibes for sure.

    Is this restaurant expensive?

Very. With portions on the smaller side. At least $30-$35 a person.

    Is the patio dog friendly?

Yes, there were dogs outside in the more 'natural' side of the outdoors.

Not the worst thing in the world but when you're sitting at a bar alone it's hard not to notice. Fortunately another bartender came over, clocked that I was just sitting there unattended, and immediately smiled and handed me a menu before taking both of our orders. She turned it around quickly and that kind of awareness goes a long way. Shoutout to her. I ordered a 3oz pour of Syrah -- pretty decent, did the job. We didn't order food so I can't speak to that. The overall vibe was chill and low key for a late Friday night, which was exactly what we needed. Would come back for a proper visit earlier in the evening and give the food menu a real shot.

I went on a walk with my partner on Sunday morning to grab brunch. It was sunny and beautiful outside, but our hearts were heavy with the loss of our sweet Shih Tzu, Harpo, the night before. I couldn't keep the tears away no matter how hard I tried, and entered the restaurant with Kim Kardashian-level cry face. The hostess and the restaurant director, Alex, immediately empathized with us and shared stories of their own furry friends. I was definitely interested in the $1 mimosas they have on Sundays and Alex made sure we had one in our hands before we had the chance to review the menu. As a starter, we ordered las croquetas-- great flavor and creamy on the inside. We ordered the steak & eggs and the Spanish omelette. Both were delicious! I can always count on Catalú to serve some delicious potatoes. The sauce had a little bit of spice, but nothing too crazy for me. The team went out of their way with their generosity and gifted us the French toast, banana split, and a celebration toast for our sweet boy. The banana split was my favorite! I loved the ice cream and the crispy, brûléed bananas were amazing. Everyone showed us so much kindness and warmth during such a sad day. I really felt like our decision to stop in that morning was the universe reminding us that there is so much compassion and love in the world to go around-- even without our sweet boy beside us. You could tell they were very busy, so it took a while for a host to come and seat us. Once seated, it then took a while for a server to come to the table. Natalee eventually dropped by with some water, and admittedly let us know they were short staffed for the night. However, after she greeted us, her service remained attentive throughout the course of our meal. Now for the food, everything came out quickly, but one by one as it was ready. The roasted beets came first, which I expected because it was the only item we ordered that didn't need to be cooked. The pistachio butter and goat cheese really complemented each other well. Then came the empanadas and croquetas. Both came out piping hot, so we had to let them sit before trying. The stuffing inside of the empanada was very flavorful, and the croquetas are some of the best I've had in the city. Lastly, the calamari, shrimp, and mussels came in succession. The aioli served with the calamari was delicious and the breading was perfect. My friend ordered the shrimp and mussels, which I didn't try, but both were sizzling upon arrival and she thought they tasted great. Our drinks came in between the food items and while they were good, my friend had to send hers back due to the lack of juniper berry. When Natalee returned with the corrected drink, my friend was able to taste the difference immediately and finally enjoy it. As for my drink, I'm not big on dry red wine, but with the added components, I could barely taste it. We both thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and we will be back! Additionally, this restaurant does validate parking if you park in the attached garage on the side with the ticketed entry. If you use the QR code to prepay, they will not be able to refund what you spent, so be wary.

I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.

It was a Friday night two weeks before Christmas, but it was only 5:45pm so I feel like we got lucky. We were able to walk in and be seated right away. We ordered cocktails and embraced the tapas menu, ordering too many things to sample and share. We sadly had to leave some of it behind. Our waitress was a sweetheart and though the restaurant space was big and open, the warm wood and exposed brick inside made it feel welcoming and cozy. There was enough room between tables that we didn't feel crammed in and the table was big enough to hold all the delicious goodness. I felt like two top tables can sometimes barely hold your water glass and bread plate. We head to Charlotte pretty regularly for various things, and I would like to bring our teenage boys back sometime. I think they would really like the menu and style of the restaurant. Nice enough for a quick date night before and event, but casual enough that I feel like we could bring the teens and not have to "dress up".

I do think the interior sometimes feels a bit too "open-concept," if you know what I mean... ...but who cares?! The food is great! Of the stuff that stays on the menu, I really like: the chicken sandwich, the tandoori carrots, the mussels, and the pierogis. As for the current menu: I really like the watermelon caprese salad, scallops, and curry chicken tacos.

We arrived around 5:30-6:00 PM and were told the next available table wouldn't be until 8:30, so we ended up sitting at the bar instead. Luckily, the barstools were comfortable, so I didn't mind at all. The service was great--fast, attentive, and the bartenders were really friendly. The drinks were also really good. I had a lychee martini that was strong but delicious. We also tried a few of their shots--they had a unique, acquired taste. The only one I didn't enjoy was the Hierba shot because the aftertaste reminded me of licorice, which I'm not a fan of. But if you like licorice, you'd probably enjoy it. As for the food, everything was amazing. The yuca balls were a 10/10. We also had the "Pulpo Anticuchero", which was a Spanish style octopus that came with roasted potatoes that were cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, very fresh and flavorful. I ordered the arroz con mariscos (seafood rice), which included calamari, octopus, squid, and more. It was really good, and the portion size was huge--definitely enough to feed 3-4 people, so keep that in mind when ordering. The ambiance was really nice as well. The music was good and not too loud, which made it easy to enjoy the overall vibe. Overall, I'd give this place a 10/10.

It was our first time and my hubby isn't into raw fish but I loved the maki and shrimp croquettes. Great ambiance and service as well. The steak was perfectly cooked, the papa's were delicious. We got the plantains as an appetizer and those were great as well. I love how inclusive our waiter was nice friendly, asked about allergies and restrictions. she also advised us when we order something that conflicted with those restrictions! She was so knowledgeable about the menu. Guacamole and chip were so good guacamole was fresh and flavorful! I love that I was still kinda chunky and all the flavors really came together! Chips were also seasoned! Papas braves were potatoes in a red sauce with pickle red onions. I really don't think I would like it but it was very good! The tacos were amazing! I don't do dairy so I didn't get cheese on my tacos but they were still so good!!! Chicken was flavorful and moist! Shrimp was the perfect size and season to perfection! Steak was probably my favorite the butter they cook the steak in was so good! They weren't stingy with the meat at all! They also let me add pickle onions on all my tacos! I literally could only each half of each taco and half the potatoes! The Sunday we went they were also having a convo de mayo patio party so they had a local artist inside doing sketches! She was so night and sweet and her entire set up was so cute! It was just like the picture machine where you picked your frame, take 3 poses, she draws them and they come out just like it's out the machine! It was so cute! The experience here was so nice! The parking was hectic and parking lot was small but they do validate your parking and the inside experience made up for all of that!! Again 10/10 experience can't wait to go back!!
