I was super excited to hear about a tapas stall opening in Optimist Hall! We stopped by Marina's Tapas on opening day because we were too excited to try it! The staff were super nice and helpful when we were trying to decide on what to order. We ended up ordering the Albondigas, Tortilla Espanola, Croquetas, Patatas Bravas, and the Calamares Fritos. 5 tapas was a good amount for two! And spending $60 on tapas for two is a great price IMO. The food was delicious! The standout favorite was the Croquetas, but all the other dishes we ordered were great as well. I am looking forward to returning and trying more items!

The bar area was busy but we managed to snag two seats on the side without too much trouble -- seat yourself setup. Here's where it gets a little mixed. My partner stepped away to use the restroom and I sat there for a while while one of the bartenders walked back and forth past me, clearly focused on closing duties, without so much as a glance or a menu in my direction. Not the worst thing in the world but when you're sitting at a bar alone it's hard not to notice. Fortunately another bartender came over, clocked that I was just sitting there unattended, and immediately smiled and handed me a menu before taking both of our orders. She turned it around quickly and that kind of awareness goes a long way. Shoutout to her. I ordered a 3oz pour of Syrah -- pretty decent, did the job. We didn't order food so I can't speak to that. The overall vibe was chill and low key for a late Friday night, which was exactly what we needed. Would come back for a proper visit earlier in the evening and give the food menu a real shot.

We had a great server and customer service was great-- the problem area was the food. We ordered the same thing we always get Korean wings, cauliflower bites, crab rice, and bang bang shrimp. Long story short, I want our money back or a better experience. The cauliflower bites were so small and broken down it could've been made into rice. Flavor was phenomenal but the cauliflower was definitely missing and just seemed like batter in a bowl. The bang bang shrimp-- y'all need to use large 16-20 shrimp with texture and serve them whole (proof they used to be see previous reviews video). Also they were small pieces and fried way too hard-- so CHEWY! The fact that they're now chopped into little pieces and fried is crazy, it takes away from the entire dish and again, you're eating fried batter mostly. The Korean wings?! The first time we had this they were glazed, flavorful, charred, and sticky with sauce (see previous photos). This sauce was runny, thin, and slid right off of the wings and left it flavorless and I had to ask for more sauce to get through it. My husband never leaves any wings behind and we left two. I was really disappointed in the inconsistency of the food and it just didn't land well for me. I'm upset.

This would probably not be problematic except we were on a schedule and had to get my man back to his conference. We ordered the charred corn fritters, tandori spiced cauliflower, the Mediterranean avocado bowl, and the Peruvian chicken bowl. It was probably 15 minutes before the server came back to tell us that they were out of chicken bowls. We then ordered the Moroccan pie. The fritters came out first. Incredible. There were crunchy and chewy and full of flavor. They sure set the bar high with this one! Unfortunately the rest of the meal was inconsistent. The cauliflower was cooked well and had a nice spice, but was lacking maybe salt. It was still good. The avocado bowl- avocado was fresh; the olive brine was interesting, but offered the seasoning that was needed; the quinoa, tomatoes, and onions had no seasoning or flavor at all; the feta and tzatziki were good. Individually, nothing was particularly great, but eaten together it was tasty. The Moroccan pie was also good, but heavily sweetened maybe with honey and dusted with powdered sugar. This wasn't in the description. The chicken was well seasoned and tasty, but overall pretty sweet. When it came time for the check, again, service was slow. We managed somehow to get done with a few minutes to spare. The inconsistency makes it difficult to want to come back. But those fritters get all the stars.

Plating of everything is very nice and aesthetically pleasing! First thing we got almost 3 minutes after we ordered was the caramelized Brussels, we rated it a 9! The chicken skewers were especially great during earlier visits -- very moist, flavorful, and something we specifically came back to order again. Unfortunately, our last visit was really disappointing. The chicken was extremely overcooked and very dry compared to prior visits. The brussel sprouts were also undercooked and mostly raw. It's also worth noting they do not take reservations for parties under six, which can make planning ahead difficult during busy times. It was frustrating because we know the food can be much better based on our previous experiences. If the kitchen were more consistent, the rating would be very different.

Monday night, half price wine by the glass or bottle, all of them on the list! Love when they do that without limitations. So we went with a glass of champagne! Because why not when it's half price! Service was excellent , and the food just awesome . So fresh and delicious. The menu here is so nice and varied with so many options. We started with the prosciutto carpaccio, paper thin prosciutto with olive oil, and fresh Parmesan and fresh greens, white balsamic and hazelnut. This was amazing, just yummy. The roasted mushrooms, come on a sliced yogurt, with verde hummus, and sumac onions. Again so flavorful and so many different things going on in this dish. Highly recommend this. The short rib bolognese. A fabulous small plate, but plenty for two . This sauce was so good with the fresh grilled bread they serve. The pasta was perfectly cooked, spinach flavored. Truffle ricotta, and crispy prosciutto on top, nice pieces of short rib too. This was an excellent dish. We were truly full so had to pass on dessert but we did get a after dinner espresso martini, called the Salud! A Spanish table toast, peppermint infused tequila, espresso, licor 43, coffee liquor and creme de cacao. Served frozen, this tasted like an Andes mint. Perfect after dinner drink. I hope this stays on the menu! So good. I'm so glad this place is still going strong and busy on a Monday night! I love everything about Chapter 6, such a great spot.

It can be hard to find if you are coming in from the main street as it is located inside a building that has other restaurants and stores inside. But it is rather spacious inside with lovely minimalistic and neutral vibes. The service was pretty great as we were given recommendations and our water was continuously refilled. My friends and I got the Crab Brik, Wagyu Burger, Shakshuka, and Avocado Toast. The Crab Brik came in little triangular wontons that were fried to perfection. I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.
