Dram & Draught was not very good. It wasn't 1-star terrible, but there wasn't anything that really impressed me about it. I had to sit at the bar for a solid 10-15 minutes before I decided to ask the bartender for a drink, as they never approached, or even acknowledged me as I was sitting there. A little while later, another patron walked in and sat next to me, and had the same problem. I remember him saying something along the lines of "are they ever going to ask me what I want to drink?". When I did ask for a drink, the bartender just pointed to a sign on the wall, which showcased their less-than-impressive selection of beers. I got one (1) drink and then left, but I probably should have just left earlier. Maybe I went on an off-night, but it was not an inspiring experience, especially with so many other options nearby.

Dram & Draught is a fantastic spot for craft cocktails in South End! The vibe is intimate yet lively, making it a great place to unwind with a well-made drink. The bartenders are incredibly skilled and know their spirits inside and out. I had their espresso martini, and it was absolutely perfect smooth, rich, and with just the right balance of coffee and sweetness. Their whiskey selection is also impressive, so there's something for everyone. A big plus is the convenience of parking since it's attached to a garage. no stress trying to find a spot in South End! Whether you're stopping in for a quick drink or a night out, this place is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back!

My husband and I stopped by for drinks after walking around a local farmers market nearby. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the bartender and served glasses of water. Our bartender was super sweet and knowledgeable about the various options on the menu, which was very helpful as I'm quite picky about my drinks. My husband ordered an old fashion. I wanted something sweet so the bartender remixed one of the drinks on the menu to make it sweeter for me. It was very good! The interior was well decorated with plenty of seating. It had a romantic vibe but also sophisticate and classic. Would highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a new drinks spots before dinner or for a date night.

Beautiful bar, great service, and phenomenal cocktails. Can't comment on the pricing since I didn't pay for my drink (thanks, cousin!), but they seem on par for quality craft and specialty cocktails in Charlotte. Bartenders are nice and fun to converse with. I look forward to my next visit!

Got the check out this new cocktail bar in south end this weekend. The aesthetic of Burbons on the book shelf behind the bar is so pleasing to look at. Inside the aesthetic is brown leather and although it was nice it wasn't that inviting. The menu had tons of drinks on it. They serve beer as well. They even have a menu of what the bartenders favorite drinks are so that customers can order those too. I ordered the two cents. It was strong but good. I also tried tropical fire which came in a cool, black glass. The drink itself was very spicy though. A little too spicy to finish the drink. The best drink we got was the rolo royale. It tasted like a pina colada but not as sweet. Overall the experience was fine and service was good but the atmosphere wasn't that cozy to stick around for a while. Glad I got to experience this place though.

Such a cute spot! I've been here a couple times now and it's one of my favorite bars! The drinks are fantastic! I love the variety they have. Also a big fan of the holiday and event themed drinks they do. The service is always fantastic! Everyone is so nice and they take care of you here!

Dram and Draught makes excellent cocktails and has friendly and knowledgeable employees that truly know their craft and give great recommendations. Where I think they fall short a bit is with their atmosphere and vibe. Typically if I go to a cocktail bar it's with the knowledge that I am going to end up spending a lot of money as the delicious cocktails I am about to consume aren't cheap. What people pay for is more than just the drinks themselves, but for a sophisticated and elegant vibe. Whether it's energetic house music, or something more laid back like jazz, there should be music playing with low lights, comfortable couches and chairs, and a good crowd. My past two visits to Dram and Draught I feel lacked that type of atmosphere. There was no music on or if it was it was so quiet I couldn't hear it. The lights were very bright. The place as nearly empty, and most of all the decor just seems minimal. They are located inside a recently opened office building, and in my opinion they didn't do enough to really enhance their space, so it just seems pretty sterile. I hope that they are able to bring some life into this place. Their cocktails are exceptional, and looking at the website their other locations seem to offer a lot more. I think they are going to have to inject some life into this location if they want to compete with the other Southend night life destinations, but I hope they do because there is a lot of potential that I think is untapped.

A friend of mine came into town for the weekend and he wanted to check out Dram & Draught since it just opened. The location is suppurb being right across the street from Charlotte Beer Garden that offer a large variety of whiskey. We sat a the bar and I ordered a peanut butter whiskey and I noticed the ambiance of the place is a real chill spot that looks like a great spot for a date. The staff was very attentive to our needs and was very nice and helpful with combination with our drinks. We only stayed for a drink before we kept the night going. This is a cool spot to check out for anyone wanting a good date night spot.

The ambiance was great when we walked in, we got two seats at the bar. There was nice music being played by the dj and we were excited to try out this new spot. The drinks were good and there is no food service here outside of peanuts and pretzels. However the reason I could not give more than 3 stars is the service. We were overlooked multiple times and even had people who came after us get approached with menu and drinks before anyone noticed that we had not been addressed. We may go back in the future as the drinks were good and the guy who eventually gave us menus and some of the other staff was nice.

We came here for an after dinner drink looking for a good atmosphere to have conversation and enjoy the evening, however, our service was terrible. Maybe the worst we've ever experienced. While the drinks were good, the staff was so unfriendly. Would not recommend this to anyone.

I've been to Dram & Draught in Greensboro and Raleigh and I'm not exaggerating when I say it's my favorite cocktail bar I've ever been to. The number of unique drinks they have and the number of drinks they can make you based on your preferences is unmatched. There are few things I hate worse than a bad overpriced cocktail. You will not find those here. So glad they've come to Charlotte!

My friends and I stopped in here one Saturday night during their soft opening and had a wonderful time. The bartenders were very kind and patient, and our cocktails were delicious! I feel like they're worth the $14 price tag, honestly. The decor and ambience was also nice and a little romantic. We loved it

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

It's a small intimate setting and I do love the dark aesthetic they did. Gives it a swanky vibe and makes a great date spot. But they were burning incense in the tiny space and it was overwhelming. The other bar guests sitting next to us agreed. *They did finally pick up on it and the staff moved it toward the kitchen door* Staff was friendly as well, though, it was busy and looked as if they had a trainee in tow, so attention was lacking just a bit. So why we came: The drinks were average to me. One was weird (Pineapple Fried Rice) and I just couldn't get it sit well on my palate - and I tried - sip after sip. But the mixologist saw my struggle and swapped it out for a different one. I did like the Don't Shy Away - it was an interesting take on a margarita with a strong carrot base. The Whispering Dove was a take on a Paloma and I couldn't find the lemongrass infusion on my palate. So I found it pretty basic, but pricey. So overall, decent. And I might stop buy if I was stuck in the area again.
