I have called 3 times and sent a message via the website with no response to cancel a recurring fee. No one ever calls back. Very poor customer service. I got frustrated and drove to the office. There is no one there, working remotely the sign says. This does not seem like a reputable company any more read more

Channel Choice - Sign on door. - Television Service Providers Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I recently purchased a home in Marana and the previous owners had Dish. So, I moved in on May 19th and have been calling Channel Choice and am only able to leave a voice message. No one calls back. I called Dish and they simply referred me back to Channel Choice. A revolving door. As a result, I won't be using nor recommending Dish or Channel Choice. I've gone ahead and subscribed with a different company. Now, Channel Choice, come get your dish. I've left multiple phone messages so you should have my phone number and name. Dr. K. read more

Being the one multi mediaresource choice in Tucson, you are a captive audience. Channel Choice knows that, uses it, and profits from it. They offer zero support services after they hook you. Staff is lacking in customer service skills as well as practical knowledge or solution skills. Pretty sad for consumers to be forced to deal with sub grade pay tv service, and sub par customer service. read more

Okay, this goes beyond the Tucson Location...this is directed more to upper levels of this pathetic company. First off, let me give myself 1 out of 5 stars for tying my Centurylink and Verizon bills together 2 years ago....and 1 star for not paying attention to autopay....and 1 star for not disconnecting service after I moved. Bad bad Robert. Okay...I realized what was happening...and called...and explained the situation.....and took responsibility for my stupidity. Centurylink management promptly told me...."not out problem you didn't disconnect service".....and I agree with them...but do not tell me for a second the 2k I paid over the last 2 years wasn't already ON TOP of the next tenant that was forced to use your product because that was all that was offered at this complex....so you guys doubled down of your profits....congratulations. This is what is inherently wrong with much of corporate America....."doing the right thing" isn't an option with you. Shame on me for not paying attention, shame on you for being exactly what people think of when the get shat upon. read more

Misinformation. Misinformation. Misinformation. When I set up CenturyLink online, they told me that I would get free installation over the Internet. Surprise! They ended up charging me $59.99 (or whatever it is they charge). Secondly, when they came to set up, they were told we had already bought a modem; so they say, "keep this one [ours]. You won't be charged for it anyway." Surprise! I get charged $8.99 a month for "rent" on this modem that I didn't need. So I call and tell them I have a modem, so they promise to reverse charges and fix the issue. Surprise! I'm charged $8.99 again this month. I called the helpline, and all they said is that I am getting charged for the rented modem, because I didn't return it. I am just VERY annoyed that they keep misinforming us. It is like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Update: Speeds were crappy, we were promised 40 Mbps, but it seems like they throttle the speed. I had to restart the modem several times because pages took forever to load. The only one pro is the customer service (though incompetent at times) is extremely friendly and polite on the phone (hence the 2 stars instead of 1.) read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the staff and services at Channel Choice! We got everything we wanted at a price that was far less than we had been paying and anticipated! Channel Choice took care of everything (tech is not my strength) and all I had to do was make one single call to them initially. If you're in the Tucson area, I'd definitely go straight to the source, tell them what you want and trust their process. Easy day! FIVE STARS! read more

In my life I'm not sure I have ever had a more pleasurable business experience. They are terrific. Sense of urgency, knowledge, courtesy are all there. Terry was terrific. She gave me more options than flipper has teeth. Bravo Channel Choice. read more

I have had Century-link internet at home for a little over a year now, and we had it at the office I manage for quite a few years. My bill for my home internet changes every month. I have a 12 month contract for $29.95/mo but after taxes, modem rental and a fee for not using the automatic payment option, my bill is around $60/month. My bill for two months of service recently was $145. HOW?? The business account was far worse. Choppy phone service and the internet would go down at least 1x a week if not 3 to 4x a week. We finally cancelled our business account after complaining every week to them, and they had the nerve to charge us cancellation fees! I've had to call them at least 3 times and be on the phone with them (while still trying to run a busy office) for at least 30 minutes at a time. Not to mention I get transferred around at least 3 times and I have to explain myself all over again once I am transferred. Extremely frustrating customer service, and awful internet connections. After such bad experiences, I wouldn't recommend Century Link to anyone. read more

I had every intention to sign up for internet but so glad I didn't. Do they train their customer service agents?! I'm dumbfounded. I started the convo by honestly saying that I was considering switching but had not made up my mind. First, the agent couldn't even give me a quote and said all my information needed to be entered in and that could take a while. Then when I inquired about a quote online for $X for Y speed in my area, she emphatically states that nobody should sign up online. She threatened that if I signed up online, the technician would probably no-show and I would still get charged. She said that only she would be able to get me the most prompt set-up time. I calmly asked why she was sabotaging her own company just for a little commission. She continued to explain how much she loved working for her company and commission is only $10 anyway. I should've stopped there, but I let her continue... After she rambled 5 numbers and asked if I wanted to sign up, I asked her if she could clarify what I would be paying monthly. She then stated, " I can't go back to that screen. I think it was XYZ. Let's just start over." Starting to pull my hair out now. Because she stated that century link does not place anyone on a contract, I asked her to see if I could get a rate that would be locked in for 2 years. She happily agreed. I asked twice to verify that there was no contract and no early termination fee if I was unhappy with the service. She confirmed on both accounts. Fast forward 2 minutes. "So this is just me being perfectly honest with you, you could be charged something like $200 if you cancel before 2 years." I ask, "Didn't we just discuss this as NOT being the case? And btw if you weren't being honest with me about that, that would be fraud" She replied, "Well this screen popped up and I had to tell you the conditions. I have never seen it before. This is the first time I have ever seen it." "Thank you for your time, but I'm just not interested. I feel misled. " End discussion. Well I guess they are willing to do anything for a sale... including lying to your face. Or maybe she was just that bad. Anyways, please learn from the 45 minutes of my life I wasted and be careful when you sign a new contract. read more

I have had century link Internet for a few years now and have never had a problem. They have given me discounts on several occasions just for being a loyal customer. Their internet has always been reliable. Just recently I moved apartments and it didn't have a phone jack to plug the router in. My apartment manager was suuuuper unhelpful with the situation. So, when I called century link, they sent someone within the hour and they figured out how to set it up quickly! Century link is much cheaper than its competitors, but still great quality and customer service. read more

Disgusted with DSL Internet from Centurylink (paying for 'up to' 7MBSand getting1.5 when lucky along with frequent outages), I went to a Xfinity store. To make a long story short, I walked away without the information I needed to make a decision. Channel Choice took care of my DirecTV equipment, so I talked to them. Terry was very informative, supplying technical information the the Xfinity person I talked with either did not know or maybe felt that I was incapable of understanding. She saved the deal for Xfinity. read more

For those who receive the Sunday edition of the Daily Star - there was a full page ad for Dish TV through Channel Choice last Sunday. The Ad is very misleading. It states in the headline - Call now and save on High Speed Internet + Dish TV Get High-Speed satellite internet - 35 Mbps Available 2-year TV Price Guarantee. It then lists the 2 options for TV one at $59.99 and one at $69.99/mo. Below then is the information on Channel Choice which is the local Dish Premier retailer. I think this ad is misleading - seems to offer both Dish and High speed satellite internet for the same price. It does not! First, Dish does not offer internet - that would be through a different retailer depending on your address and that price would not be included nor guaranteed. Once again - a chance to get folks to subscribe without having all the facts. When I called the rep who answered was not really able to answer my question as to whether the internet and tv were all the one guaranteed price. She had to transfer me to her manager who then admitted that the prices listed are only for TV! read more

I wanted to actually review these guys because the service I had with them was extraordinary! I have only praises for both Jonas and Micah... and I am surprised to see that the other reviewer was so angry... My situation was that I purchased a home in the Tempe area and I was only going to be in town for two days to get the house all set-up before bringing out the family. I really had no time to stay on the phone and deal with setting up both television and internet services. (And yet, it is hard these days to not have both wi-fi and tv) I happened to stumble upon this business while getting a Starbucks coffee and thought I would go inside and offer them my situation to see if they had any ideas. Lo and behold, they set me up for installations right then and I had both a satellite tv system and wi-fi installed by noon the next morning. Who does that? I would recommend this business to anyone else in a heartbeat! read more

One star cause I can't put zero. I have never talked to dumber people. Every time I call I get transferred around and around for no reason. No one knows how to help me or how to do their job. Plus the internet is slow. I hate this company. read more

They were very helpful. The Dish installation was on time. It was not their fault that Century Livk customer service is non existent.

If I could give a minus 20 or 30 stars I would. Am in the process of firing them. Customer service is so bad it's like the don't have any. I have bundled internet with DirecTV, DirecTV answers the phone... C- link puts you on hold for a long long time. Apparently they are horrible for both business and residential service. Businesses in certain areas have no choice but to deal with their crappy service, at least I can change to a different ISP. read more

So deceptive! I decided to switch my internet from Xfinity to Century Link because it was half the price. When I ordered it, I was clear I was only getting internet and that I had a VOIP Phone (internet phone) at my house. They failed to mention to me at the sign up that their internet had to go through a hard line phone, which I don't have. Once the service arrived and I saw the set up instructions, it was clear this would not work for me at all. I called to cancel and I was pleasantly surprised that they said no problem and didn't hassle me at all BUT then I get my final bill and they charged me $200 for canceling (which they did not mention in my phone conversation with them. Such a scam. I was never even able to set up their service and cancelled it almost immediately and somehow ended up paying several hundred dollars. read more

I switched from Cox to Century Link to try to save a little money since I was being majorly price-gouged by cox communications. So far Century Link wifi is a nightmare. I specifically asked if I could stream Netflix shows without any interruptions and the century link representative assured me that was not going to be a problem whatsoever. NOT TRUE. It's Always buffering. Then to get a hold of anyone is difficult, after 35 minutes of waiting and being transferred repeatedly, I finally talked to someone who clearly didn't give a **** about helping in any way. When I received the bill, it wasn't what the rep had told me to expect. He also told me someone will be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week for technical questions. Also NOT TRUE. I'm so beyond frustrated with this nightmare company. I have given up on calling because I can never reach anyone. Last time the system told me to call a different number and then hung up on me. Good luck getting anyone on the phone. At least with Cox someone was always helpful and available if there was an issue. I'll be going back. read more

Welp, I just got off a TWO HOUR phone call with their customer service where I spoke to no fewer than SIX people, none of whom could help me. Basically, I had ordered Century Link service for internet, a technician showed up and said my house had no phone lines and I should probably just cancel. I cancelled, but received a bill anyway. I just finally got the bill deleted but it took seriously 2 hours. FUCK CenturyLink. Feel like I dodged a bullet. read more

Worst customer service! Should be a case study in how to go against every customer service principle in modern business. It's like cable service in the 80s! Expect to take off of work, lose wages while you wait for a tech, call them to figure out the 4 hour window- they won't communicate this ahead of time. When they give you the 4 hour time frame they will not show up- no call no show. When you try to call, you will be told they are "closed" at 4p? When the business hours are clearly until 6p. Then call acting like you want to "start new service" and you WILL get a live agent- who will tell you that the tech will be there at "6p". Conveniently- because they WILL be closed after that tech doesn't show up. Call the next morning and they will act like nothing is documented anywhere on the account, blah blah blah. On an on. I would give a -5 stars if I could! read more

CENTURYLINK - GET A CLUE. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. Seems to be a pattern here. One star is their average rating and I think that is because you can't give 0 stars. Worse customer service I have ever experienced. Even the supervisor that I dealt with, Brian, didn't understand how to spell customer service. I would strongly recommend never using their services. Even if you have to pay more with another provider. They need to spend less advertising money and more money on quality staff and training. read more

Half the price of the competition with similar speeds. Have to reset the modem about once a week (unplug and replug the power) but that's about it. Speed test shows enough power for me to stream movies and play online games at the same time, and I've had success doing so. Hard to believe the hate ads against them after actually using their product. Go with the highest speed and I think you'll be just as happy as you would be with any other company, only you're paying half the price! read more

We recently signed up for internet service through CenturyLink, and were very impressed with the level of service we received from our tech (April). When she first came to our house to connect service, she discovered there was an issue (blocked conduit) that prevented us from connecting that day. However, she was very persistent and communicative with our situation, and turned what could have been a bad experience into a great one. Once the issue was resolved, she returned to our house to connect service, and were blown away by how awesome and friendly she was. She spent time connecting our service, showing us how to connect our devices to the network, and even gave us some tips for a faster connection. She was great, and CenturyLink is fortunate to have her as the face of the company out in the field. Thanks for everything! read more

I have only had Century Link for 3 months, I was warned about how slow and bad their service was, I did not heed the warning and now I have to pay $200 to get out of my contract. It is worth $200 not to have to deal with the frustrations of dealing with them and their ESL customer service techs. Everyday since I have had them my service goes in and out, it constantly buffers when I am trying to watch a You Tube video. Learn from my mistake if you go with them you will regret it. read more

I have had CenturyLink for over 3 years now. I paid my bill through their website and got a confirmation number for the payment however apparently I put in my payment information incorrectly. They didn't let me know that and then turn off my service. They emailed me yesterday morning letting me know that they hadn't received my payment. I emailed them with my payment confirmation number as I was at work and couldn't call them. I didn't hear from them but when I got home they had suspended my service. I contacted them today and they told me they were going to charge me an extra $14 which included a $3 "convince fee" I asked them how I could not pay that they said if I went onto their website to pay it but then I would be charge a $25 fee to restart my service!! Do not trust any quote you are given from Directtv for cable services. I was charged significantly more than the written quote I was given and even though I still had it in writing they refused to give me the price quoted AFTER service began. DO NOT sign up for Century Link. We have had nothing but trouble with them. Our Internet and TV are broken every other day. Internet and TV still don't work. I never thought I would miss Cox Communications so much! read more

I'd like to say that CenturyLink has been an upgrade from Comcast, but that would be a bold face lie. Not only did they initially screw up our order (Direct TV saved the day no thanks to CenturyLink) but they have been extremely difficult to work with and have continually messed up our billing the last three months. We thought we would be getting a better deal when signing up since they convinced us that we were probably only 5mbps of internet with Comcast's shared system and that 7mb would be more than enough to stream, watch movies and be on our personal devices because it is a hard line into the house. Since that was the only available option for our area and we trusted the representative who we were speaking to, we decided to switch since our contract with Comcast had just finished. Well, turns out that we really are only getting 1-2mbps, but only found this out when we realized it was going to take 8 hours for our movie on Apple TV to be ready to watch. The frosting on top of an already frustrating situation was when my husband called to speak to customer service today (since they are never available at convenient times) and the representative essentially called him a liar for being upset that we felt they had been dishonest since no one would ever have told him that 7mbps would have been enough to watch a movie. Seriously?! Not only did she call him a liar, but then followed it up with "you should have done your research." If it wasn't $200 to cut ties with them, then we would be done for good and just stay with DirectTV because they are the only ones in this situation that have been helpful. The blatant unwillingness to take responsibility for your crappy service and dishonest sales tactics, blaming your customers for "not knowing better" and then not being willing to do anything to help remedy the situation is beyond frustrating and disappointing. I really hope if anyone is looking for better options that they stay far far away from CenturyLink. read more

Ok have been have a problem with CL now for several months. I cannot get higher speed because where I live does not have one and cannot switch until the end of the year. I have filed a complaint with the bbb as they do not seem to really care about their customers issues or at least their techs don't. I have been a customer since they were Quest and before that Southwest Ph. so many years. I just received a response from the bbb from CL and their response is quote "CenturyLink appreciates Ms.King writing regarding her recent experience with our company. I regret to inform Ms.King that she did not include sufficient information for CenturyLink to conduct an investigation. In order to investigate the complaint, the CenturyLink account number will need to be provided. I attempted to find the account number using the address listed on the BBB complaint but I was unsuccessful in finding an account in Ms.King's name. Once this information is received, CenturyLink will be happy to investigate the complaint" unquote. So I sent a copy to the bbb of my last bill from them that shows it is in my name. Obviously it shows that my account number is my phone number and my address that is listed with the bbb is current one I reside at! This only tells me that the representative did not want to follow up on the complaint. What a poor why to do buisness!!! If I could I would give -5 Stars. read more
