For the fourth time in six months, this Internet is off again. I'm simply tired of having to call them to tell them that their Internet is out again since they joinEd the Ting company no one answers the phone until you yell at them or you have to leave unhappy message. Service locally is excellent. If you can get a hold of them they don't let us direct into the Tucson area anymore so we never hear from them so my Internet is down for four hours and I get no credit for it, I have a T-Mobile box that works better than Simply Bits does and I pay twice as much for the Simply Bits so that my husband can have TV. I had a lot of problems with this internet going out, and the prices just kept going up and up, but the speeds were slower than every other internet carrier. The worst part is that they installed a dish on my roof and apparently didn't seal around the penetrations. When I went with a different internet provider, they took the dish but didn't take the stand. Now my roof has leaks and I have to replace the whole thing. read more

Their system works well. The usual amount of hiccups due to power outages and other anomalies. Signing up / getting the system installed is fairly easy, as is obtaining service when there's a problem. However, trying to get in contact with them about other matters is a royal pain. They don't return email queries, and they don't follow up. They offered incentives when I referred new customers, but no incentive was ever forthcoming. When I showed up at they're office, AFTER I REMOVED AND RETURNED THEIR EQUIPMENT TO THEM PERSONALLY, the notice on the door said that visits to their business were "by appointment only". So, overall, the system works fairly well. But the lack of communication and customer service is woefully lacking. read more

Simply Bits was a reliable service until sold to Ting. Internet goes out frequently. We increased our service but the rate was supposed to be less than the premium rate we were paying. I signed up with Simply Bits after lots of disappointments with CenturyLink and Copper State Communications. CenturyLink did the Internet and Copper-state did the Phones. Simply Bits said they could do it all! Great news! I'm not a Techie Guy and I said let's sign me up! I am the GM and Owner of La Mariposa Resort. We have a Health Club and a Banquet Facility that does about 150 Events Events a year. My average Event is about 150 Guests . Friday night we had a power outage and had no internet, phone or Credit Card Machines. I called on Saturday at 7am and left 3 messages throughout the day. At 5pm Sam called me and said he would get us hooked up Sunday Morning. Great News! At 9 am on Sunday Sam calls me and says it's some switch that they did not install. I said let's replace it, I'll pay for it. He says we have to talk to the sales folks Monday morning and they can authorize it. I say let's put it in and I'll pay for it later! Keep in mind I have had no Phone, Internet or CC Machines since Friday Night. This is now Sunday. I finally hire a Techie friend who fixed it all. Bottom line, Simply Bits is a Local Tucson Company who tried to portray themselves as a much bigger operation. Sam said someone would call me and set everything up today, Monday and nobody did . They are in way over their heads and have no after hours Tech Support. May have to switch back! read more

I have been a customer with simple bits for more than 3 years. And I will be changing my internet service as soon as humanly possible. I have never received such poor customer service in my life. I simple needed their service cable replaced after a dog caused issue which happened on Saturday. I called to report the issue and was told the request would be escalated and some one would call the next business day, which I accept. On Monday I called back at 2 pm when no one had called to schedule the repair. Spoke to a supervisor just trying to get the repair scheduled . Who promised to escalate the ticket still no call back. Called again at 4 today. Will the tech says they are out sourcing their techs now and can't guarantee they will call back. Even his supervisor is out sourced. I prefer to keep my money local in Tucson but it seems like Simply Bits is no longer a local company who treats their long time customers so horrible. I want to add i have medical monitoring that requires wifi to communicate with my specialists. Which has been explained to the management as well. Still no priority or call backs. So I guess simple bits is no longer a local tucson company. Do not use simply bits horrible customer service and tech support and super slow internet service. read more

Simply Bits has been unable to provide the internet service we pay for since Feb 14th, 2020. We have repeatedly called and emailed and have been told someone will contact us within 24rs. We have now been waiting several days for a technician to fix their reoccurring problems. Speeds vary greatly and service goes out constantly. And it is often out of service for days. When you call you wait forever to talk to someone and are then told you will receive a call back. That usually doesn't happen. Even if they "fix" the problem, service stops again days or weeks later. I honestly feel that it works less than it doesn't lately. We had horrible CenturyLink..in our area Northeast foothills. We were "promised" 3Mbs with 2 year contract years ago. Constant drops..noise..packet loss. Techs have been here MANY times. I was told no possible way on the old copper as far as we are from switch..so we crawl back to 1.5Mbs..lately at best 1Mbp..and got an offer for "hew clients" for 500KBS !! Simply bits 10Mbs..set up quickly..always on excellent service..great coverage on a 5000 sq ft home and guest house ! Dropped CenturyStink after so many lies and 40 years. Cut the phone also.. The connection is good for light surfing only though service is spotty at times possibly due to it being a microwave (wireless) setup. I didn't receive a "public" IP address. What does that mean? If I want to use a VoIP phone, an alarm system that uses the internet for monitoring, have a camera security system on my home that I want to view remotely, backup a computer automatically to a remote service,  most if not all of this will likely not work, what I want to use doesn't work on their service.  I can "upgrade" to a public IP address but this involves a service fee of $60 and an additional $15 per month for what other ISP's,  Cox, Century link, every other ISP I know of provides for free. That's another nifty part of the service,  you can upgrade all you want (for a fee of course) but you can never downgrade to a lower priced option.  I've spoken with their support technicians and they're all extremely friendly and seem eager to help but seemed more confused then capable. Each question you ask will be asked again by the technician to someone near the technician.  The questions I asked should be understood by tier-1 much less tier-2 but seemed difficult for both. (Why don't I have a public IP address and how do I get my remote access to work without one? Answer; i don't know ... then after asking around ... pay us more) Other customers have complained about their account representatives in other reviews, while I've had no issues to date. I did get the impression that they're irritated with having to deal with you at all, you may see this irritation when you sign the three (3) year contract as I did.  The main saving grace for Simply Bits is they serve areas not always covered by others, due to this they seem less customer service centered as they're probably the only game in town. This is a diminishing return business plan as other ISP's expand their service areas. Perhaps this explains the long three year commitment they require.   If you're in an area that doesn't have other ISP's but there's construction nearby consider other options (including waiting for another ISP) rather than getting stuck for 3 years and service that's equivalent to logging into a McDonald's wifi. This is my opinion only and related to my interpretation of my experiences with this company,  your mileage may vary but the quality of service lately won't. read more

Have limited internet options in West Tucson- Simply Bits was fine last year when we first moved in, but over time the speed has gotten slower and slower and the monthly cost was raised. Our download speed is often 2 or 3 when we were promised 10. Numerous calls and hours working via phone with techs resulted in better service temporarily, but during peak times we are still not getting anything close to what we are paying for- unfortunately our options are very limited. read more

On Friday afternoon our internet service was restored after Simply Bits technicians came to the house and replaced all of our aging equipment. We want to recognize the efforts of Customer Support to make this happen. With new equipment we are confident our service will return to the reliability we have had for years from Simply Bits, a local Tucson company. We do feel that the current process for handling service outages should be improved. Once an issue is escalated to the "second level", it seems to go into a black hole from the customer's perspective. This communications gap needs to be resolved. read more

Service is good about 9 months out of the year give or take. They used to be $99 a month, but they raised the price because they do not have a data cap. No data cap is good, but when the internet doesn't work like I need it to, it doesn't make a difference. They also raised the price by $4.99 because of said data cap. Service still craps out every now and then. I actually had horrible service for two months prior to them raising the price on me. I came very close to ending my service with Simply Bits that day. I finally figured a way to talk to someone VIA email and it's made dealing with this company a lot less frustrating. I am great full for the tech I talk to that keeps me updated when possible. I got about 50 bucks off one bill after having issues for years, weeks to months at a time. Took a lot of complaining and back and forth to even get that. Sadly I am still waiting on the progression of infrastructure around where I live to get better internet service. I would have left a long time ago, but it's the best deal for where I live (when it works). I'm currently trying to game as I type this and having horrible lag/latency. Speeds are where they should be though. Everything else streaming just fine, but this lag makes playing online pretty much impossible. $104.99 a month for meh to ok to good service is what you get from this company IN MY AREA. I gave two more stars because things have gotten slightly better with this company, but also because I figured out a way to communicate with them that skips all the red tape. It's still not what I pay for 100% of the time and that can be frustrating. Hopefully this company only gets better. read more

In Tubac, no LOS to the tower by the fire station, so another tower farther E and S. It was great in the beginning, now it's garbage. I pay for 15/4 and as of today 02/09/20 I get 3/2. At first, I couldn't complain because it was one of the only providers in my rural area. Sure the speeds were not "Cox" fast, but I managed to get by just fine (although videos and such did take forever to load.) So then one day I noticed that my Skype video calls started dropping every 10 minutes, super glitchy, etc. This was the beginning. A few weeks later I notice that the internet just stops working every once in a while. Next, it started working for 5 minutes, but goes off for 10 minutes. Then by the end (all of October), there were multiple days where the internet just did not work. They did however gain a little bit of respect from me because they sent someone out to check the antenna every time I complained and they waived the cancellation/contract breakage fee. Sure, their customer service is good, but I think the cost to modernize their hardware and equipment is just too high, so the quality is terrible. :/ In the end, I ended up signing up with a month to month from Western Communications and Satellites... I LOVE IT! The internet is now very reliable and ten times faster. read more

When we moved into a new house a little over two years ago we were finally able to get out of our Comcast bundle that was our only option in our condo. We called Simply Bits after hearing from our neighbor that they were a great option. They were correct! In over 2 years we've only had 1 or 2 service interruptions and it was only for about 20 min. 1 time we found out it was our router that was the problem when we called their customer support. How great is it to talk to a local support person who knows what they're talking about! We stream on 2 devices at the same time flawlessly at all times of day. I can watch my shows while my husband streams a game. The quality doesn't fluctuate like our cable provider's internet did. We're glad there is an alternative option for good quality Internet service in Tucson. read more

I've used previous WISPs in Tucson and had issues with speed. SimplyBits' service offered faster speeds for the same price and actually fix problems on their network without the customer having to call. Other than that, it will occasionally disconnect but it will be fixed after resetting the PoE. Good service, consistent speed, low latency for games, and doesn't hit the fan when it rains. If I could I would add a minus to this . I agree started out 2 years ago great. Now we can't even get a movie to play on smart tv. Download speed is horrible. I called three different times on the same day to get help was told they had sent it to upper level service Mgmt and I would get a call in 2 hours. I NEVER received a call even after I called to find out why I had not gotten a call back. No explanation no apology nothing just gee I'll have someone call you in the next 2 hours. They did this to me 3 times in the same day. It's been 3 days now still have not received a service call...explanation or anything . This is THE worst service I have ever had from any internet company by far. Charging for service you are not able or willing to supply is Fraud ! I chose Simplybits because it was familiar to me from a friend using it at their school. I work from home, so I need something reliable. It was until my "introduction year" ended & they no longer offered the same plan. I was told they had to move me up to their next tier which was $20 more a month & supposedly faster speeds. After switching to this new "faster" plan, service comes & goes & is much slower than previous. I work from home, so the internet is not an option for me. This is the 3rd time it's gone off today.
