Now that I've given the history and my "iPhone bio", let me tell you what changed. In comes Michael G. He was knowledgeable and listened to everything I said, even the details of how I liked to travel, job life , etc. I mention this because upon receipt of the quote for all the new gadgets and services, Michael had customized the plan so that it covered domestic and international travel. Most wouldn't pick up on that, but he did. He was also acutely aware of how I did not want to be going through the process of setting up a new phone, watch, or an iPad and he did it all. I have to give a shout out to his manager. He was awesome. I was a walk-in later in the evening and they didn't rush me. He offered me and other customers water as we were waiting. He was very thoughtful with all customers. Sidenote, there was a very cranky individual this particular evening and the staff and the manager handled it with grace. So, I guess you can say that I loath the process a little less now. Thank you, Michael and team Verizon! Let me not forget to mention that I also went back today because I was having issues with some of the apps and again I walked in late, but they made sure they resolved the problem even after they officially closed.

The result, not unexpectedly, was disastrous. Half the phone screen turned black, or started pushing buttons itself, or wouldn't respond, or wouldn't turn on, and then, finally, it would just flashed a green screen at me at a nightclub rave tempo. Summary: worst case scenario. It was the weekend and I rely on my phone for personal life and work. I was panicking. I feared not only for my news feed, but for the clients that couldn't get ahold of me bright and early Monday morning. I googled the nearest place with the best reviews. Then searched again for anyone open on a Sunday at noon (not many). These guys popped up; I went in with a bank card and blind hope. Expecting to have to buy a cheap full-in phone until I could sort out this mess with Apple or AT&T. Expecting to kiss my savings account goodbye. These guys are outstanding. I walked in, explained the situation. They gave me a full quote and walked me though the possible damages and repair options. Sent me to kill time for an hour, and when I came back about 50 minutes later, they had it mostly fixed. They switched it between the old and new screen right in front of me so I could understand the situation. Opened it up and showed me the damages. I know nothing about the inner workings of an iPhone, but they broke it down for me unprompted so I could grasp what I was in for and what to expect. Told me the worst case scenario (needing to send it elsewhere for further repairs), but made it clear they'd do everything they could. Reminded me of any possible costs and double checked that I was okay with them. Never made me feel like I'd be left high and dry (which would've been fair; they fix phones, they don't perform magic, and I'd essentially sent it to the Shadow Realm). As a bonus, the guy who helped me was really polite about the privacy of my phone. Let me key in the password and double checked that I was okay with him entering any apps to confirm the functionality of the phone - even when going into Settings. Was super thorough and dedicated to making the phone 100% again, even when I admitted I was willing to just take a phone that could send texts, make calls, and receive emails. Friendly, calm, professional; that was exactly what I needed when looking at my year-old, $900 investment and control hub of my life, sitting possibly dead on the counter. Went to kill time for another 15 minutes. When I came back, he had it all patched up and gave me a rundown of the final fixes. Noted that one or two minor glitches did happen (battery level fluctuated some), but gave me the option of fixing that then (maybe unnecessary) or coming back if there was an issue with a $10 discount on replacing the battery. Never pressured me to buy anything else and was very frank about the state of my phone. I was in and out in an hour and a half, tops. I came in with a phone that probably needed a full replacement. Walked out with a fully functional phone that had a new screen, a few circuit repairs, and other minor tweaks that had it living life again. $100-ish dollars in total, on the weekend, less than three hours after I'd TOTALED the thing. I'll recommend these guys forever, and you won't catch me upgrading to a new phone again just because something is wrong with my old one. This place works miracles!

As of October, this year, I acquired address 2. Cox has been great to me so far, so I started a SEPERATE line at address 2 (using yet another amazing promotion). Up to this point I am now moving out of address 1. I saw on the website that we can transfer service to a roommate (which I have at address 1). Called them up, took a few tries, but eventually got WHAT I THOUGHT (and made sure to check) was address 1 disconnected and switched to the roommate. Went into my cox account to learn they switched ADDRESS 2, taking me out of my newly started promotion and still having me associated to address 1. With how long this has been taking and for it to mess up this bad, I am PISSED. Drove to COX on Campbell, took a couple breaths before I walked, and laid it out for Roxy (employee I was chatting with). Super calm, cordial conversation. And that's where we are at with 4 stars. Online COX customer service needs some serious work (i will avoid using it again). In-person, COX is amazing, super kind employees at every location I have been at, and really are looking to help. My case is still in process, but up to this point COX on campbell has been a 5-star experience with how my situation is being handled. It will be a certified 5 if they can satisfy this case. From day 1, Ive had nothing but problems, CSR rep from another country deleted my account and my promotions, added a new account and someone tried to order a phone on my new account and Verizon didnt take responsibility for it. Also, my bill each day for the last 7 days with Verizon was more and more. Started out as 133.00, then 146.00, then 162.00, then 196.00, and finally 204.00 for a 1 line plan with no extras!!!! On January 18th, cancelled my account and switched to a different carrier. Was told by the CSR of Verizon (5th person), I could take my devices to the store where I made the purchases. So, we went to the Arizona Pavillions Cortaro location and it was there I explained about ALL the things I went through in the last 7 days with my new account. The CSR went to the "supposed" manager, Guadalupe, and she straight up stated she was not taking back the devices and it pretty much was not her problem!! She was overtalking both me and my husband when trying to explain everything that had happend and she was not willing to provide the "excellent customer service" that Verizon says they provide. She was resistant, rude, not helpful and could care less about my situation or what we had to say. She should not be in a management position, or any kind of higher up level, she is not for the customer, unless you are there to make a nice, big purchase!!! I will NEVER go to this location ever and BUYER BEWARE!!!! Verizon practices Bait and Switch methods. They are friendly and helpful when you want to spend money, but after, you are just another customer and could care less about helping you. Kinda wish that everyone working here had the same skillset so you can get help in the order you came in. They could use more staff here. This is an Experience store so I would figure more staff. Finally got the gateway exchanged and when I went to setup it was user the wrong name. I mean I gave them my drivers license so they had no excuse.
