I was going to CN for over 4 years, loyal, loved the girls and their artistic abilities for art. i initially went there for pedicures, was talked into getting gel, at that time there were only a few girls who did it, so I got them, it was ok, so next time for fill my nail tech wasn't there, she quit, so they put me with another girl, came back for fill, she was gone, either quit or let go, so I started going to someone else, who they put me with, not my choice. after a couple months, that tech was gone, quit, and this happened at least 3 more times in a matter of maybe 6 months to a year. Then they got rid of gel, used only acrylic, so had to switch to that & another new tech, then they brought hard gel in, at that time it was either switch again or remove what I had just put on, getting pricy, then after a couple fills I had so many issues with my nails, up to and including fungus, eww! The last tech I had I really loved. I asked her if she was going to be leaving anytime soon, since I had been bounced around so much, a few times I thought about finding a new place because I was tired of being moved around, however each time I was with a new tech, I really liked them. Hard working talented girls. I slowly realized the real issue is the way the salon is being run, rather run~down. The chairs were old, dirty and slipped down when sitting. We had a little miscommunication a couple times and discussed it, no harm done, we all move on, I have cancer stage 4, and I have had several different treatments within past 6 months while all this went on, and I was late a couple times after never being late prior to that, several times I had to wait for tech never complained , and the service was good so, 1 off. Then I had to reschedule an appointment and the owner took the call but never put it in the system which is kind of archaic considering what most if not all businesses are doing today with texting and reminders, booking appointments on line, which is not offered, and u cannot leave a message because they turn off VM option. they don't want to return calls, which is what I was told by one of the 7 techs I had. i overlooked a lot because again, I liked the girls and they always said hi and were very nice to me. That goes a long way which is why I was so loyal. Spent lots of $ there, referred people I know which I now regret, because I don't feel the owner 'Young' is worthy enough for my friends to spend $ there especially after how I was treated. About a month ago, last time I was there I treated my sons to a pedicure, had a great time with everyone, spent almost $300, left and that was that. I knew It was time to get a fill, tried calling, got a weird message saying, 'call cannot be connected' or something..,I kept calling for days, wondering if they were ok, did something happen? I had a weird feeling so, I reached out on fb, nothing, so I headed over there , after closing, saw one of the girls I had a good relationship with, she saw me let me in, got on phone with Young, and then told me I wasn't allowed to get nails done there anymore???? wtf! Way? What happened? What the heck did I do? I still don't know because he never called me, never talked to me personally, like an owner should out of respect, especially an OG client such as myself, I mean good grief, when I first started going there he let me hold his little baby son, and I thought we all had good communication and friendly owner/client relationship, I thought I deserved more, shours b treated better, I realize being late is a nuisance and I have been on that side of things myself as an esthetician in California for 15 years, but there's a difference between intentional tardiness and just 'going through a lot of crap' lateness which I apologized for over n over. I never missed an appointment, was never mean or rude, always tipped so well. Anyway I feel it was very cowardly to have your employee do your dirty work by kicking me out of your salon. It hurt a lot. Nobody has been able to tell me why! I waited over a month to do this review because I don't like writing negative things about anyone/thing, but I felt compelled. And I was giving you a chance to contact me. Nope! You blocked my #, as did Indis. I tried to reach out to her too, and got nothing. I don't know what I did to deserve that either. that hurt, India. You are an amzing artist nonetheless ! I have to be honest though, it's the best hurt I experienced because I found a way better place in so many ways, I 'Nailed it!' lol, (nailed it, by Brandi) is where I go now, it's a breath of fresh air, clean, nice chairs, owner knows what's up! Nail techs seem more experienced and same great artistic ability. u Know there are many choices for nails . its an over saturated business as it is, so hopefully this is a lesson, to do better next time. I left good reviews before and that was all true, as this is to. FYI:apparently chandelier doesn't have a good reputation for satisfied customers read more
