This is my third time using Chad's Chippers and I can't say enough about the work done. Kevin and two others (didn't get their names) worked on my house Saturday and finished on a Monday, and I never thought I'd say this, but the trees trimmed actually enhance the view of my house even though my fruitless Mulberry has no leaves. Very easy to get a hold of them, very easy to communicate, and you don't have to keep an eye on these guys. They cleaned my entire driveway using a rake and blower since all the debris from the cutting was in my yard and they left my place better than they found it. read more

I recently hired this company to remove 6 trees (bushes) from my property and OH MY GOODNESS!!! Their service was TOP NOTCH! I got way more than I expected. Professionalism displayed from first phone call until they drove away from my house. 1. The person who came for the estimate explained how the job would be done and why he was choosing a certain method to remove the trees. 2. The crew showed up within the given time frame. Crew leader introduced himself and confirmed what their job was on my property. 3. They took those trees down like MASTERS. The job was done in no time. Explained again how I should treat the stumps to prevent regrowth. 4. They cleaned the front and back, leaving no debris behind in my yard or on the street in front. 5. This was a smooth operation. You could tell they had a system because everybody went right to work, doing their part. And they carried out their responsibilities very efficiently. These young men know how to WORK. I do not recommend this company; do not waste your time with them! On October 4th, I called Dan to discuss a tree removal and tree trimming/topping for my property located in Bear Valley Springs. He told me he does service in this area and asked me to send pictures, which I did on the same day. I sent him a few angles of each tree to show how close to the house they were and how far they were hanging over my driveway. He sent me a quote for $2650, and the night before he was due to come out on October 13th, he sent the paperwork over to sign, but changed the price to $3800 and said he was not aware of where the job was until I sent my address, but he was told on the phone where the job was located. We agreed to pay him $3000. He showed up on October 13 without the proper equipment to do the job and kept telling me it was an hourly job and he couldn't do what I paid him to do, so we asked him to leave. I wanted to give this company a try because a few people on Facebook recommended it, and they were able to come out within a week. I will stick with the companies that are booked out, which is a sure sign that they are busy for a reason. read more

I already confirmed with another company so I don't have info on their work. I received a mailer so I called for a quote. They didn't call back but in their message they said to text. I texted and got no reply. I waited 2 days and figured I'd try 1 more time. They set up a time for the following week with a 2 hour window. I took off work early to make it and they never showed, called or texted. While waiting, I texted them to confirm they'd be here by 5. I got no response. Two days later, still no response. This is beyond frustrating. I'm not sure how well they chip, but if they're not reliable enough to show up for an appointment, I wouldn't trust them with the job. read more

this company was recently in our area, and, unfortunately, like most of the other tree crews here in town, their employees are horrible - loud and obnoxious with no ethics. First, they park a trailer on the street which nearly blocked part of our driveway. I had to constantly monitor the situation in case they did attempt to park a large vehicle in front of our d-way. Then they actually did put out two cones right in front of our driveway, as if deliberately trying to block us from going in and out. Also, I later found some litter on our lawn which came from one of the guys, so they're also throwing trash on the ground. Complaints to their boss were ignored. They woke us up at 630am, which technically is illegal and violates the city's noise ordnance, Legally you cannot start this kind of work until 7am at the earliest. Noise ordanance states quiet hours are from 10pm to 7am. We got no warning from our idiot neighbor, either. Thanks a lot! read more

I obtained a few quotes prior to using Chads. Several were overcharging since the electrical wire is near the trees. Also some wanted to leave the brushes or give an extra charge for removal? They were affordable, licensed/WC, professional, on time, both estimate and day of job, and all using mask. All was clean up nicely. After my first review this is the response I received from the owner: "We did what we said and even more. And you still want to hurt our business and our fanilies. We lost money on this deal. We did everything we could to ensure we made it right. And you still want to punish us with a partial story in a review. We explained woodchip cleanup not included and pipes iuld eb damaged. We only paid repairs in spirit of customer service. Not for any legal obligation. It's really sad you would want to hurt us when we only wanted to help you. First of all, I did not make any grammar corrections to the owner's posting. Here are quotes from a few reviews regarding cleanup: 1. "real care for detail and cleanup" 2. "removed all dead branches" 3. "communicated well and cleaned up after themselves" 4. "They kept area clean as they worked and made sure to clean up when they were done" 5. "left our yard cleaner than they found it" This business owner appears to be an emotional mess because of a fact based bad review. He lies about explaining wood chip cleanup not included and pipes would be damaged. No verbal or written communication was made regarding these two items. If that would have been the case, I would not have hired him in the first place. His employees actually did some semblance of a cleanup attempt. This is not the first one star review he has received and probably will not be the last. I believe he needs to seek some professional help for his emotional distress. Moving forward, just a few humble suggestions: 1. Don't lie!...this will hurt your business and livelihood more than any review. 2. If you cause any damage to the owner's property, let them know and do not cover it up and leave in hopes that they will not find out. 3. I must be honest, when I see a stream of great Yelp reviews on one company's page, I'm usually skeptical. I've come across some businesses that were not even close to the performance of their said reviews. NOT THIS PLACE! I'm very glad I gave Chad's Chippers a chance. I had this tree in the front yard that was starting to eat up the pipes and a nasty tamarisk bush that intertwined with the rose bush. I figured it would take too long for me to do it myself, but at the same time, I was fearing of hiring someone because I didn't know how much it would cost to get this done. I called, left a message, I got a call within a day to set up time for estimate, and I liked the price Dan offered me, so I hired them. I had one question prior to the work day, so I called, and I got the answer the next day. One thing I am very pleased (other than the actual work performance), is that they sound very kind over the phone and in person. I get anxiety from just thinking about making a phone call, so the fact that they are genuinely nice, helps a lot. I was anticipating like half day of work (since I don't know how long each job would take), but on the actual work day, they were in and out in about less than 2 hrs in the morning. I thought that was very efficient. They got the roots pulled out, everything was evened out, to a point that I don't even know where the tree used to be! They pruned/topped our 50' tall (old growth) mulberry tree beautifully and removed 3 dead trees including deep stump grinding.
