They added sand and grass seed to camouflage and cover the footing. Hopefully the grass will grow. I wouldn't recommend or use them again.

I asked for an estimate to create a walkway, concrete patio, irrigation, sod, and gravel. A week had passed after Renee came out to get measurements with no update on the quote so I reached out since other companies provided same day quotes. Renee responded to me so very unprofessionally via email stating "Geez! It's only been a week give me a break! We are busy I promise you haven't forgotten but this takes time." I was shocked because I don't think there was anything wrong with checking in after a week's time. Renee apologized by saying "I forget you don't know me" as if I should be able to discern her personality and tone through email. If I didn't like the workers I had met, I would never have hired them after this interaction. I shouldn't have to work more than they are for service, and definitely should not have been scolded for it. When I finally got a quote I felt that they were charging an astronomical amount for sod and gravel (we are talking 3x more per sq ft) and therefore only approved the walkway, patio, irrigation and sprinklers. I was told about their warranty and their experience in the field, and signed a contract. Upon completion of the work, I wanted to give the workers the business of completing what they started (by laying sod and gravel). However, I wanted to know if they would be willing to just do the labor and I would have the sod and gravel delivered directly from the source for 3x less. Renee declined. I asked for the sqft measurements for sod and gravel that they took for me so I could explore this on my own, and was denied this information. Then the owner got involved and told me he would void my warranty if I were to have the sod and gravel completed on my own which was never once expressed to me previously. Then he had the nerve to bring up my remaining balance that was emailed to me the day before, a holiday (July 4) as though I was some kind of delinquent customer. I'm sorry I didn't get to it when I was enjoying my holiday with family and friends! I was appalled yet again. I would consider their business ethics before going with them. However their workers were phenomenal and, quite honestly, should be in charge. They were more professional than the owner and manager were!

We had a leak in one of the main pipes for our sprinkler system on July 3rd. We had to shut the water off from the street, so we did not have any water in the house. I called Oscar and he came out right away to take a look. He said he could fix the leak that evening even though it was almost 7:00 p.m. He took his time and did a great job repairing the pipe. He even stayed and waited for the glue to dry so we could turn the water back on and make sure the leak was fixed. He also cleaned up the shut-off valve and showed us what pipes/sprinklers it affected. We really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to help us fix the leak as soon as possible due to not having any water inside the house. He did a great job. I called J&O a few days ago seeing if services could be provided on my front lawn. I had weeds and bushes that were overgrown. I sent over some photos to Oscar and he responded promptly and told me he could do it for a good price. He communicated with me and told me he could come out today around 8 am to my home, he was on time and well prepared. He took his time and the work he did really shows because my front lawn looks night and day prior to his arrival. Oscar came out and gave us a price on a small job. A ficus bush removal that was in a tough spot. He came out the next day, got to work and got the bush and roots out. He then cleaned up some of the other bushes in the planter (did this on his own). Finally, he replanted another plant where the ficus had been. Again, this was not included in the price he gave us, he did it as an extra. When the job was finished all refuse was hauled away, and he cleaned the area. You would have never known any work had been done there. Oscar was pleasant, true to his word on the price, and did an excellent job. I asked for cards from him to give friends and neighbors. Requested some weeding of my rental mobile home, its been crazy trying to do it myself when I only have the weekends and its been raining for the last month every weekend... so I got a hold of J&O Landscape. Oscar came out on a Sunday morning to provide me with an estimate and was ready to start working right away. The work was done quickly and at a very reasonable price. I've seen Frankie's crew in action and these guys don't just plant the trees, they go through different placements to ensure it is placed in the right setting. Wall caps crooked, wall not level. My sprinkler wire was cut intentionally because the water came on, so my husband had to repair it. Two caps are damaged. The footing on my wall is above the yard line, with cement that had to get carved down. A 1 day job turned into 3 days, and it still isn't quite right. Taylor called and tried to rectify the issues. They added sand and grass seed to camouflage and cover the footing. Hopefully the grass will grow. I wouldn't recommend or use them again.

They did not hesitate to send someone out right away and got everything fixed and up and running for us. If this is not the best customer service, I don't know what is I highly recommend them. I just finished a project to landscape my son's home in Palmdale with Jose Gonzalez. I designed the…read morelandscape and sourced the materials to save money but Jose played an important part in the success of the project with his advice and the hard work of he and his worker (also Jose). The two of them did everything, getting rid of all the weeds, grading, painting the block walls, installing a full drip irrigation system and all the planting. All of this was done for a fair price although it was spread out over a few weeks because of Jose's other commitments. It also saved over one third of the cost versus a Landscape Company. I had a very difficult time getting anyone local to respond to my bid requests or even return a phone call until I found Jose. My son and I couldn't be happier with the results and as you can see from the photos the transformation was incredible. Highly Recommended!
