Update 2/1/36: Service with a smile. The food is outstanding. First time we have met the owner. Very friendly and welcoming; appreciative of his customers. I've eaten in many "authentic" Thai restaurants in California, New York and other states where native Thai friends and coworkers have taken me. This is in the top ten list out of 100+ restaurants. The view is breathtaking at times and fairly quiet inside. Nearly all Thai restaurants will ask for 1-5 spice level. The waiter was able to make it a 7. The flavor and spice level were perfect. The Fresh Spring Rolls with peanut sauce are fantastic. If you are willing to stay away I will be happy to take your place. This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the PNW. read more

Really delicious food. Have ordered twice. First time was for delivery. It was quick and the food was hot and yummy. Second time was for pick up. Both were great experience. Our order is the Thai Basil fried rice with pork, Yakisoba noodles with chicken, and crab Rangoon. The noodles have a good flavor. Can tell that they are prepared in a wok and have a little char. Pad Thai dreams do come true at Chada Thai. We were looking for a quick dinner heading back to Vancouver from Blaine, WA. The area is beautiful with trains and by the harbour, Semiahmoo Bay and Thai food. I believe the owner and staff are Thai as we greeted a female with "sa-wat-dee-kha" and she responded back. We ordered Chicken Satay and Basil fried rice, Spring Rolls, Pad Thai and Pot Stickers.The chicken Satay didn't taste or look like real chicken, there was hardly any flavor to it or sauce on it. Was here a few weeks ago and enjoyed my time. Able to scarf up a window seat overlooking the bay, and the train tracks, the view is well worth it. Ordered the chicken pad thai and it was good, typical of what expect. Can't explain it any other way but the sauce tasted heavy and that wasn't appealing to me yet it is still good. After careful consideration and multiple deliberations guided by intense scrutiny (kidding, not kidding), we're going to land on a 5 star review. Nestled next to the scenic shores of Blaine, Washington, Chada Thai continues to establish itself as an iconic and neighborhood favorite. It's going to take a really good restaurant to dethrone Chada's monarchy as a top Asian restaurant in Blaine. The Pad Se Ew was incredibly moist, well decorated in an assortment of vegetables and had a delightful taste in each and every bite. It's one of those dishes that will keep you yearning for more -- bite after bite. I was a fan. A huge fan. The brown sauce--which tasted like a combination of dark soy sauce, sugar, oyster sauce and vinegar--was to die for. The Pad Thai was also surprisingly good. Although a popular dish, this noodle dish can easily be overcooked, be way too sweet or commonly found cooked too dry. However, Chada Thai's version was nothing of the sort, but delish, leaving me craving for more after each bite. With each bite, you could tell how well the tamarind paste complimented the meat, egg, onions and bean sprouts. A little feedback for the restaurant: - Separate the bean sprouts and peanuts from the Pad Thai noodles - Don't be too stingy on the green onions, which were pretty sparse on the Pad Thai Recommendations for take-away: - Add a scoop of Chili Garlic Sauce, Huy Fong (Rooster) to your plate to add a nice, authentic spicy kick to your meal. Sriarcha will do as well. - Crack open and fry a few eggs to layer on top of your dishes for a nice, hearty addition of protein Overall, I would recommend Chada Thai if you're looking for a delicious, authentic Thai meal. This place really surprised us. We decided to stop for lunch to burn some time before crossing over into Canada. The service is excellent and the location is excellent. Is is located by the bay and the views were great. The service was excellent, and the time from ordering until it was served to us was super fast. The portions are HUGE the lunch specials are the size of other places main fare. We are definitely going to stop here on the way out of Canada and highly recommend eating here. read more

It's seriously the only asian restaurant in a 7.5 mile radius, unless you're stepping into Canada. So if you're craving, it's all you got it and it does the job. Food- Thai food is fair. I enjoyed the pad see ew and pad Thai. Chinese food selection is very Americanized. The quality of meat protein are not the best, but not bad (ie Mongolian beef, meat tastes like the round eye portion of the cow). Ambiance- July 2021 restaurant dine in not an option. From the exterior look- momma pop type restaurant. We did take out and right next to the restaurant are 2 picnic benches you can eat at looking right into Dayton Harbor (bay?), the marina and over to Semiahmoo, all while facing the sunset. Service- fair. Caucasian vegan person taking our order, so she could not make non vegan options. Value- fair. The noodle dishes were heavy on the noodles, so that was great for the kids. Just moved to Blaine and we were trying out the new restaurants. Our intention originally was the Mexican place, unfortunately it was closed or I guess fortunately for us. So we crossed the street for the Thai place.. Best decision ever. The portions were huge, price was relatively small and the taste was FANTASTIC. The owner himself even came over and chatted a bit. Only 1 person waiting tables and there were probably 10 tables and he was efficient and attentive and fast. I cant forget to mention the view, WOW this place has it all, has now become our new favorite and I cant stop craving it. read more

I have a confession to make, I've lived in the Birch Bay/Blaine area for 10 years. I've driven past this place hundreds of times, and never once thought about stopping by. I love cooking for myself and friends, so I rarely eat out. A friend and I were running errands in Blaine, and my buddy suggested Chada Thai for Lunch. I haven't had Thai food for many years, so we decided to stop here for lunch. We weren't disappointed. We ordered the pork fried rice, cashew pork, orange chicken, sticky rice, and combo appetizers. The fried rice was amazing. All of the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Not too soft, nor were they under-cooked. The orange chicken had a genuinely delicious orange flavor to the glaze. We even had a couple Thai Teas, which I've never had before. They were very rich and delicious, and very orange in color, not in flavor. I tasted a hint of vanilla, and something that I couldn't identify, perhaps cardamom? I really liked it, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Everything was freshly cooked to order. The staff was friendly. The only down-side was that the restaurant was closed for indoor dining due to Covid restrictions, but thankfully was still open for take-out. I've been 3 times in the course of several months and 2 out of the 3 times they were "out of" the fresh spring rolls in the middle of the day. When I finally asked the waiter when was a good time to come for that he finally admitted they weren't actually out of them but that they were made to order and that they "too busy to make them." Same problem with another item we tried to order--too busy. If that wasn't enough of a turn off to keep me from going back, we ordered the Swimming Rama with fresh spinach and when I went to lift a leaf several ants came crawling out. This restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Blaine with magnificent views of White Rock and Semiahmoo. They have a cute garden in the back and side of the restaurant with some outdoor seats. The food is reasonably good compared to the other places within the vicinity. The portions are of decent size for the price. On June 9th of 2023, I made a day trip to Point Roberts and back through Canada. After that, I stayed at the Northwoods Motel and decided to get Thai takeout. I ordered a wonton soup with pork strips and a chicken Pad Thai. All of the food was excellent. I was especially impressed with the Pad Thai where the sauce was very flavorful. The chicken, vegetables, and noodles were cooked to perfection. I may have liked this more than all the Thai restaurants I've dined at in my residential state of Colorado. Making the phone order was very easy. The food was ready in 20 minutes. Picking up and paying was quick and simple. The restaurant itself was nice with Al the cool, traditional Siamese decor. Actually, this place is a good excuse for Canadians to travel to the US for lower gas prices. They can stop for dinner here, and tell customs that their trip was a night out for dining at this delicious Thai restaurant. read more
