When the air is cold and all I want to do is hunker down with a bowl of Tom Kha soup and forget about the world, this is the place I come to. There's nowhere I'd rather be than right here, watching the tide roll back in, seagulls playing, and local shore birds hunting for their lunch, all from my cozy window seat. The service here is truly the best around. If you're looking for warm food that warms both your body and your soul, this is the place. Chada Thai is comfort, flavor, and a view that reminds you to breathe. read more

We arrived 15 minutes before closing time and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Portions were generous. We both had the orange chicken and it was very good. In addition, their food has no MSG, which enables my wife to eat here. Prices were reasonable and we would come here again. read more

Update 2/1/36: Service with a smile. The food is outstanding. First time we have met the owner. Very friendly and welcoming; appreciative of his customers. I've eaten in many "authentic" Thai restaurants in California, New York and other states where native Thai friends and coworkers have taken me. This is in the top ten list out of 100+ restaurants. The view is breathtaking at times and fairly quiet inside. Nearly all Thai restaurants will ask for 1-5 spice level. The waiter was able to make it a 7. The flavor and spice level were perfect. The Fresh Spring Rolls with peanut sauce are fantastic. If you are willing to stay away I will be happy to take your place. This is our favorite Thai restaurant in the PNW. read more

Really delicious food. Have ordered twice. First time was for delivery. It was quick and the food was hot and yummy. Second time was for pick up. Both were great experience. Our order is the Thai Basil fried rice with pork, Yakisoba noodles with chicken, and crab Rangoon. The noodles have a good flavor. Can tell that they are prepared in a wok and have a little char. Veggies are fresh. All around a good experience! read more

Pad Thai dreams do come true at Chada Thai. We were looking for a quick dinner heading back to Vancouver from Blaine, WA. The area is beautiful with trains and by the harbour, Semiahmoo Bay and Thai food. I believe the owner and staff are Thai as we greeted a female with "sa-wat-dee-kha" and she responded back. We shared Pad Thai and Pad See Ew and brought back memories from our recent Thailand trip. The staff are so friendly we would come by next time we head over the border to USA. read more

I love find local family owned restaurants when I travel and this Thai spot was fantastic. They have seating with water views ( I am a sucker for a water view). The server was very personable and our food came out fast and fresh. I had the classic phad thai and it was full of flavor and the protein portions were generous. read more

I was having a bad day, no appetite, but I really knew I needed to eat. So, I took a chance on Chada, hoping the good smells meant it could mend what was ailing me. The food warmed my belly and the service warmed my heart. Great portions, bright and fresh vegetables, and perfectly cooked noodles. If you're stuck in Blaine, let this place take care of you for a couple hours. read more

The people and review are great, the view is as well. But when it comes to food, it might not be for everyone. Though Thai food is typically quite sweet, this is extremely sweet, particularly curries or soups. It made it difficult to comfortably enjoy the meal. If you're considering this place, I'd keep this in mind. read more

Very delicious. Well worth the trip! The Thai food compares well with any great Thai restaurant. read more

Chada Thai - George the owner is a really great guy! And great food! - Thai Near Me - Blaine, Washington

Ambiance: nothing really to write home about it's a pretty standard restaurant environment. It's clean and you can usually find a table. Service: fast and friendly. Food: we always order the same thing red chicken, curry, and chicken pad Thai. It does not disappoint ever. Overall, we go there because there's always a table, it's quiet, and the food is exceptional. read more

The food was not good at all. I have eaten here numerous times through the years and it has always been good. We ordered Chicken Satay and Basil fried rice, Spring Rolls, Pad Thai and Pot Stickers. The chicken Satay didn't taste or look like real chicken, there was hardly any flavor to it or sauce on it. The rice had a coating of grease or butter that stuck to the roof of my mouth. Worst $60 we have spent on food. I will update if we get food poisoning. read more

Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. We ordered takeout as we were at the Semiahmoo Resort and food was ready in 30 minutes. Would definitely order from here again if we find ourselves in the neighborhood. read more

The food here was FANTASTIC! Everything was fresh and delicious. I wish I would've been here sooner. I honestly can't stress enough how good our meal was. The service was fast and on point. The ambiance of the place seems more like a Chinese buffet overlooking Blaine harbor, but it's definitely still nice enough to be enjoyable. I wish they had outside seating overlooking the water. All the food was already gone by the time I took the photo. read more

Okay, okay. I've been noodling (pun intended) on this review, and was split between a 4 or 5 star review for Chada Thai. This could definitely be argued one way or another. After careful consideration and multiple deliberations guided by intense scrutiny (kidding, not kidding), we're going to land on a 5 star review. Nestled next to the scenic shores of Blaine, Washington, Chada Thai continues to establish itself as an iconic and neighborhood favorite. It's going to take a really good restaurant to dethrone Chada's monarchy as a top Asian restaurant in Blaine. The Pad Se Ew was incredibly moist, well decorated in an assortment of vegetables and had a delightful taste in each and every bite. It's one of those dishes that will keep you yearning for more -- bite after bite. I was a fan. A huge fan. The brown sauce--which tasted like a combination of dark soy sauce, sugar, oyster sauce and vinegar--was to die for. The Pad Thai was also surprisingly good. Although a popular dish, this noodle dish can easily be overcooked, be way too sweet or commonly found cooked too dry. However, Chada Thai's version was nothing of the sort, but delish, leaving me craving for more after each bite. With each bite, you could tell how well the tamarind paste complimented the meat, egg, onions and bean sprouts. A little feedback for the restaurant: - Separate the bean sprouts and peanuts from the Pad Thai noodles - Don't be too stingy on the green onions, which were pretty sparse on the Pad Thai Recommendations for take-away: - Add a scoop of Chili Garlic Sauce, Huy Fong (Rooster) to your plate to add a nice, authentic spicy kick to your meal. Sriarcha will do as well. - Crack open and fry a few eggs to layer on top of your dishes for a nice, hearty addition of protein Overall, I would recommend Chada Thai if you're looking for a delicious, authentic Thai meal. Did I mention they gave generous portions? It was definitely a good bang for your buck. The noodles also did surprisingly well as next day leftovers. read more

Be patient when you are there especially if you called for pickup orders. The ice tea was very sweet but the stir fried pine apple fried rice was great. The drunken noodle was excellent in flavors. The curry is interesting. It's pretty much curry soup and very little of everything else. For Blaine, since there is only 1 thai restaurant. I think this will be one of my frequent spot. read more

Food is prepared well, the vegetables are not overcooked. The rice is not very moist but that helps soak up the sauce! Flavors are very good. The views are unending and beautiful. Service was quick and attentive. read more

Was here a few weeks ago and enjoyed my time. Able to scarf up a window seat overlooking the bay, and the train tracks, the view is well worth it. Ordered the chicken pad thai and it was good, typical of what expect. Can't explain it any other way but the sauce tasted heavy and that wasn't appealing to me yet it is still good. It seems like a nice family run business and will definitely be back as I like supporting small family businesses. They became busy after I arrived and took awhile to get the bill so could leave. read more

The food is great, every time we have had great food. BUT..... the portion have been getting smaller. Pretty ridiculous now.

Excellent food. The spice level is a little light, so if you would normally have 3 spicy, order 4. Very attentive and friendly server. Pleasant environment. read more

Beautiful views of the water while you eat. Good service. Pad Thai is especially good here. Lunch special at under $16 on weekdays between 11-3 as of this review. Great place to go to if you're staying in the area and want Thai food for a reasonable price and nice views. read more

It's seriously the only asian restaurant in a 7.5 mile radius, unless you're stepping into Canada. So if you're craving, it's all you got it and it does the job. Food- Thai food is fair. I enjoyed the pad see ew and pad Thai. Chinese food selection is very Americanized. The quality of meat protein are not the best, but not bad (ie Mongolian beef, meat tastes like the round eye portion of the cow). Ambiance- July 2021 restaurant dine in not an option. From the exterior look- momma pop type restaurant. We did take out and right next to the restaurant are 2 picnic benches you can eat at looking right into Dayton Harbor (bay?), the marina and over to Semiahmoo, all while facing the sunset. Service- fair. Caucasian vegan person taking our order, so she could not make non vegan options. Value- fair. The noodle dishes were heavy on the noodles, so that was great for the kids. Recommend- if you're craving Asian food, it does the trick. read more

This place really surprised us. We decided to stop for lunch to burn some time before crossing over into Canada. The service is excellent and the location is excellent. Is is located by the bay and the views were great. The service was excellent, and the time from ordering until it was served to us was super fast. The portions are HUGE the lunch specials are the size of other places main fare. We are definitely going to stop here on the way out of Canada and highly recommend eating here. read more

We got a noodle dish to go. We like to eat by the water. It was better than the overpriced Thai places in Bellingham.

I have a confession to make, I've lived in the Birch Bay/Blaine area for 10 years. I've driven past this place hundreds of times, and never once thought about stopping by. I love cooking for myself and friends, so I rarely eat out. A friend and I were running errands in Blaine, and my buddy suggested Chada Thai for Lunch. I haven't had Thai food for many years, so we decided to stop here for lunch. We weren't disappointed. We ordered the pork fried rice, cashew pork, orange chicken, sticky rice, and combo appetizers. The fried rice was amazing. All of the vegetables were perfectly cooked. Not too soft, nor were they under-cooked. The orange chicken had a genuinely delicious orange flavor to the glaze. We even had a couple Thai Teas, which I've never had before. They were very rich and delicious, and very orange in color, not in flavor. I tasted a hint of vanilla, and something that I couldn't identify, perhaps cardamom? I really liked it, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Everything was freshly cooked to order. The staff was friendly. The only down-side was that the restaurant was closed for indoor dining due to Covid restrictions, but thankfully was still open for take-out. In conclusion, I would highly suggest stopping by Chada Thai if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed. Have a great day! read more

Excellent food. Fast service. Great view. You can't go wrong coming here. Just moved to Blaine and we were trying out the new restaurants. Our intention originally was the Mexican place, unfortunately it was closed or I guess fortunately for us. So we crossed the street for the Thai place.. Best decision ever. The portions were huge, price was relatively small and the taste was FANTASTIC. The owner himself even came over and chatted a bit. Only 1 person waiting tables and there were probably 10 tables and he was efficient and attentive and fast. I cant forget to mention the view, WOW this place has it all, has now become our new favorite and I cant stop craving it. read more

This restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Blaine with magnificent views of White Rock and Semiahmoo. They have a cute garden in the back and side of the restaurant with some outdoor seats. The food is reasonably good compared to the other places within the vicinity. The portions are of decent size for the price. I would have given the restaurant four-stars if it wasn't for the fact that I found an ant in my red curry. When I brought it up to the waiter, nothing was done besides an apology. read more

A convenient location for the required "take-out" these days, especially for locals. A delightful presentation of perfectly balanced fresh ingreds in the Pad Kee Mao, also called "Drunken Noodles", BUT was disappointed in the light amt. of sauce as well as missing the "spiciness" since this is typically a well seasoned/spiced dish and I luv "true" Thai flavors! The shrimp & pot stickers were a nice well prepared addition to complete the meal. read more

I ordered the Pad Thai and waited while it was prepared. The other customers were very nice during the wait, which wasn't long (this was during the COVID social distancing phase.) I thought my Pad Thai was dry. It was hard to eat without having to have a glass of water next to me. What sucks is that I'd been low carb for 3 months straight and this was "my cheat." Not that that would change my rating, but it bummed me out. read more

I've been 3 times in the course of several months and 2 out of the 3 times they were "out of" the fresh spring rolls in the middle of the day. When I finally asked the waiter when was a good time to come for that he finally admitted they weren't actually out of them but that they were made to order and that they "too busy to make them." Same problem with another item we tried to order--too busy. If that wasn't enough of a turn off to keep me from going back, we ordered the Swimming Rama with fresh spinach and when I went to lift a leaf several ants came crawling out. I'd rather drive to Bellingham or cross the border into Canada for Thai food than ever attempt this place again. read more

This was the best Thai food we've had. We've eaten at every Thai place in Tacoma. This by far beats all of them. SOOO GOOD!
