Ordered one pork and one chicken stir fry, received two chicken. I've had a few stir frys over the years and they have all been served over rice or noodles. These dishes were simply 2-3 ounces of chicken with broccoli, carrots and mostly celery (the least expensive ingredient) no rice no noodles. Extremely disappointing for $24. 3 dishes (not lobster or anything exotic) came to $90! 2 of the dishes were noodles and 2 of the 3 dishes were overly greasy--no need to use that much cooking oil. The cashew chicken dish had a thick layer of grease that had floated to the top. There was no char on the noodle dishes. Ordered 5/5 spice and it was medium at best. The online ordering tracked my order incorrectly...food was sitting there a long time and the pick up time never got updated. After I picked up my order is when I got notified that it was ready for pick up. Can't say I will go back. Too bad because it was a fave of ours for years. Came here for lunch and luckily it wasn't a Monday since I found out they are closed that day last week when I visited. The service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere of the restaurant is modern and comfortable. We ordered off the Lunch Specials menu. I ordered the Thai Style Sweet & Sour Chicken and my fiancé had the Pad Gra Paow with Beef. Sadly for a "lunch special" at the price of $13 it seemed a little steep. My dish was really heavy on the sauce, to the point my rice was soaking in sauce - not my preference. Where it was heavy on the sauce, it was pretty light on the protein. The Spring Roll was non-oily and crispy on the outside but the insides were pretty lack luster in taste. Overall, kinda disappointed but I'll give it another try another day. The table next to us looked like they had pretty delicious dishes - I'll have to try their curries next time! The service here is really good and the staff were upbeat and polite so I gave 5 stars for that. Unfortunately, all the dishes we ordered didn't taste authentic and was very bland. Ordered Ubereats twice and both times items were missing! got one order of wings instead of two! Found hair in the wings but the owner thinks it's about getting a refund! left a google review and you can tell how aggressive this guy is. Cannot handle negative feedback! They weren't even sorry that there was hair fried with the wings. Told me to get a life, because I left an honest review. I questioned the hygiene so he asked me to look at my front porche? My front porche is just fine. He's more than welcome to come and show me what's wrong with my porche! Disrespectful owner! This restaurant staff treat people differently! Especially for Uber driver. They ask you to wait without telling you the time with serious face, while they chat with in store customers a totally different face. Food always unprepared for Uber pick up, and they even ask you just go for deliver and come back later. Such rude staff! Would never come in this restaurant! read more

HORRIBLE experience. Please do not support a business that treats its employees poorly. My husband and I went in for dinner. We were promptly seated and handed a menu. A man from the kitchen came out and started berating the waiter. The waiter held his composure very well. The waiter then asked us if we would like anything to drink and returned to the bar section of restaurant where the man once again started in on the waiter. I asked the man to please stop and that I was the customer and he was making me feel uncomfortable. The man then told me that it was a small family restaurant and if I didn't like it, I could leave. Although this place has good Thai food, their customer service model is horrible. We put in an order at approximately 6:45pm on a Friday night and were told the order would be ready by 7:20pm. Once I got there exactly at 7:20pm , I was told to wait another 10 minutes due to backlog of orders. I proceeded to wait another 10 minutes while noticing the owner (or manager) coming to all waiting customers asking for their orders and writing them down. When he approached me, I asked him what was causing the delay. He mentioned there was an issue in the kitchen which was he confirmed was corrected. I asked him if my order was being "processed" and he stated it was being made it should be ready shortly. While testing my patience, I observed the line of door dash workers queuing up and overheard the employee apologizing and saying orders will take about 10 minutes...a pile of BS. One customer left and said, I'll be cooking dinner tonight. I waited another minute or so and left as well. These MFs should be transparent with there customers from the outset, not giving false promises. F em, I'm not ever going back there again nor I recommend others. Two for service. First time and decided to eat in. As soon as I walked in I could smell the fry oil in the kitchen. Server is great all night long. Spring rolls 4 per order bland and average. No flavour. Lettuce wrap same. No garnish peppers or sauce if any kind. Lettuce was cut into third wedge. Awkward to eat with cut leaves. No flavour had to order chili sauce. Final dish inedible. Supposed to be crispy noodles with beef and there was a lot of noodles very little beef with a lot of onions sitting in a watery beef broth. Mushrooms were grey. Dining partner did not even eat this and she eats everything tasty with gusto. Disappointed overall. Could have made better at home and will next time. So few non chain restaurants in the area like to give them an opportunity to shine but sadly Kin Thai is a no repeat. read more

Came here for dinner with friends, made a reservation but still wait for 15 mins after arrival. The waitress seems inexperienced and one glass was spilled all over the table and ourselves... we don't blame the waitress because she is new. Then we ordered the food, after 30 mins waiting, we asked the dishes we ordered, to our surprise, they forgot to put our order and they were blaming the kitchen was not received... ironically the manager came once and asked, but he didn't pay attention to our table even there were only couple of tables there that night. The Pad Thai was spicy, the spring roll is okay and curry is good. In a word, we were so disappointed about their services. To Kin Thai owner, we met and chatted before and I am glad we have a decent Thai restaurant here. But I don't think you can depend on someone who is not care about your clients. Unfortunately we will rather go to some other restaurant like Milestones, Sapporo... This is not a traditional Thai restaurant. I've order Pad See-ew (Stir fried rice noodle) and Khao Pad with Vegetable (fried rice with vegetable). Both dishes are heavy on the sauce. The Green Curry Chicken was good. All dishes are quite big. Spring rolls are well made just like those you get from supermarket freezer. Great seating place though. read more

We ordered a pad thai and green curry with beef. Both were very tasty. The green curry was a little more watery that I'd like. I usually like my curries to be a bit thicker. And it can definitely use a bit more beef in my opinion. There's definitely room for improvement in the service. There were three servers there that night and two of which did not take orders. Food and drinks were slow to come. They served us the wrong order the first time, and also gave our bill to the table next to us (and their bill to the table next to theirs). The servers were friendly though and apologized for the mix up and thanked us for our patience. I suspect that the two girl servers there were just inexperienced. The interior was modern and clean. Thought I'd give this restaurant a try. Definitely not the Thai House. Very disappointed. Placed an order for takeout and made a point to mention a nut allergy. When I return to pickup my order the employee asked if it was a serious allergy because the spring rolls are fried in the same oil that the restaurant fries peanuts in. Portion sizes were very small and not worth the cost. Curry was very watered down and the other dishes were mediocre. Will not be returning. read more

Place was very understaffed, our food took a long time to come and we did not have a chance to say the food was not good due to lack of staff. Asked for the bill twice before receiving it. Would not come back. Update: the owner deleted the original reply from aug 27 which said, in summary- denial of my review claims and said I'm a terrible customer. He then private messaged me "you really went out of your way" on Oct 1. This guy is so shady. He's trying to cover his tracks for his original outburst and lack of remorse for terrible service. First of all I'd like to say, the management is SO rude! The food is a knock off version of a place in the lower mainland called Chilies Thai house. There were literally no customers in the restaurant and we waited 25 mins to get our appetizer (which was spring rolls) and then another fifteen minutes for two more dishes to come out (green curry which was watered down and Pad thai which we then found a fly in)The decor is really nice and I was expecting a higher level of food taste and service considering the owner kept coming over to bug us and bragged about having many many restaurants. The whole thing seemed inexperienced and understaffed. I don't think I'd be back again with other places near by which we frequent never with any problems. When I come here with friends or family I have a bite of whatever they're having and they're quite delicious as well. But I always stick with my good ol' green curry! I recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to give this restaurant a try. The decor is tastefully done and clean. I ordered a pad thai dinner plate and a yellow curry with a bowl of jasmine rice. The price is on the high side for Thai food. I wouldn't mind so much if the food quality justifies the price, but this Thai food is far from authentic Thai dishes. It tasted closer to Indian curry with potatoes and carrots then Thai. The taste maybe have been adjusted to better suit the locals, but this is not the yellow curry I am used to eating at Thai restaurants. The place seems busy so other people must like this food, but it's not for me. If you like unauthentic Thai cuisine at $$ and don't mind waiting longer than usual for your food, then give it a try, but I will not be returning here. read more

Have all the dishes laid out, easy menu,lots of choices Ordered the pad thai, was expecting it to arrive with a side or stack of freshly grated carrot and beansprouts. Didn't come that way, had cilantro, some garnish, could have had more peanuts. It was tasty just needed that extra crunch and freshness. This place is awesome, the customer service here is unbelievable and the food is to die for. I work in the mall and have tried four or five different Thai meals now and every single one of them has been delicious. The red curry is one of the best I've ever had and I've had a lot of Thai food. Today I was stuck working on my own and they even delivered food right to my work for me.
