Very nice and tidy-looking Thai in an area where places don't usually look as such. The food tastes very good. This is a legitimate Thai with high-quality ingredients. All grilled vegetables have a deep flavor and crunchy texture. Service is ok. Very slow, inattentive, wait staff is made of college students(?). Disappointing. Price is high and sets the place in the "fancy Thai" category. All considered, a good Thai option to try while in town.

$42.51 for 2 orders of fresh rolls!

This place has been one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Whatcom area and I have to give them that because they do serve great dishes. What I cannot seem to wrap my head around is how 2 orders of fresh rolls can cost $42!! It is straight robbery! I understand that the world is pushing everything to where prices are going up everywhere but this just seems ridiculous and not okay!

    I like the forks!

I've gone to Wanida's for a few years but this is my first time visiting the new location. The food was good and the staff were friendly. The waiter offered a Thai iced tea for my friend because he noticed the food was quite spicy for her. I also like the silverware so much I took a picture. I also enjoyed the art. It's wonderful to get an immersive cultural experience with not only the food but also the art. However, the prices took a jump and the food hasn't changed at all. For what you get it's a little overpriced in my opinion. It was good but not for that price. I will visit again but just less often now.

I wanted so badly to give a great review, but there are some growing pains and mistakes that they need to improve upon. The biggest bummer being they messed up our order 3 times. We were seated promptly on a Saturday night around 5:45. Our server changed a few times and there were miscommunications throughout the whole experience. We ordered wings to start with, and we're brought a completely different dish - the crispy garlic chicken. We were going to order this anyway, so just said we could keep the dish. Not the end of the world, they just lost out on an appetizer sale. We ordered pad see ewe. They brought out pad Thai. I politely let them know it was the wrong dish so they brought it back to the kitchen, then came back with pad kee mow. I didn't want to send it back yet again, so we just accepted it as is. Our drinks were fabulous. And all things considered the food was very delicious. I know this location is new and growing pains will be there regardless- but I kind of expected a little more service-wise from a restaurant that already has 2 well established locations. I may try it again, and hope to improve this review.

We went here when it opened and were glad to see the food and the experience was just as wonderful as the very first time. The prices end up being so worth it when you get your plate. They give a healthy portion and the food tastes fantastic. Very accommodating and kind staff as well. Definitely a top favorite restaurant!!!

    Mango and prawns, absolutely delicious!

Excellent menu, great ambiance, attentive staff and all around pleasant experience! I've had delivery a couple of times and it's such a treat, - though house dining is such fun!

Like many others I have been a happy customer of the original Wanida Thai Cuisine. Looking for a new experience, my friend and I decided to go to the new Wanida Thai Bistro location for lunch. Boy what a GREAT surprise! Upon entering, we were immediately impressed. Great, pleasant space. Pleasing , almost elegant decor. It put us both in a light-hearted mood. Then came the menu. Many new, great choices. Even better, was the server. Not only pleasant, but unusually knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. She knew everything about every item we mentioned. As our conversation continued, her excitement gradually grew. Finally I asked if she cooked. She admitted to being a "Foodie:". It was apparent and fun! I ordered, "Green Bean Moo Krob". My friend ordered the daily combo special, "Curry and Pad Thai". We both declared them, "OUTSTANDING"! Their portable spice rack contained four distinctly different, but all very tasty choices. I loved them all, but for different applications. They are varying degrees of spicy, but, again, they were all very accurately described by our well-versed server. Great job! Free parking is available and plentiful. (Always a nice plus) This was one of those meals when my taste buds were still applauding hours after we had eaten! I love that! I want to go back there TONIGHT!

We've been anxiously awaiting this space to open up and couldn't wait to stop in. All things considered, we enjoyed our experience with just a few qualms about service. We ordered four dishes - wontons in spicy sauce, kra pow, yum woon sen and yum Khao tod/nam Khao. Our server, who was nice enough, couldn't pronounce half the dishes we ordered and wasn't familiar with the ingredients in one of the other dishes we ordered. The dishes we ordered were tasty! The seafood in the yum woon sen was cooked PERFECTLY and the drinkies were delicious. We'll definitely be back after giving them some time to work out service kinks!

I was most pleased with the quantity of meat in the dish. They did not skimp on it at all! The flavor was mostly good, very similar yet different from a Panang Curry. However, the entire time I was eating, it felt like it was missing something, like it just needed one or two more spices. Overall, it wasn't bad, it was good, just not great. Though this was a to go order, I still had a great interaction with the staff. They were all smiles and very friendly. The overall ambiance of the restaurant was clean and neat. Plenty of seating and plenty of table were filled! This is a restaurant that I will give another chance and try something else next time as their menu was very unique and different from a normal Thai restaurant.

I downgraded a bit because the seating is SO TIGHT it really distracts from a good dining experience. Please consider making tables a little more spaced out and private. It's absolutely too packed in on a popular night. We will either order to-go or go on off-hours from now on.

We had a nice variety including Satay Gai, Tum Tang, Nam Tok, Phad Thai and sticky rice. The menu on their website explains what each item is if you don't recognize what we ordered. We also tried their in house made hot sauce which was full of flavor and heat! The server was so wonderful and knowledgeable! And the ambiance is so lovely! I could write a novel to explain every amazing bite but you must just go experience it for yourself! And then write a review to let me know how much you enjoyed it!

I am not sure if it is made with fish sauce, but it tasted a bit fishy to me. The dish wasn't super fresh, and hence the loss of 1 star. Also, I prefer a bit more liquid in my Panang. This seemed like a mix between a stir fry and other Panang dishes I have had. The server asked us how spicy we wanted our food from 1-5 and our dishes were made accordingly; which was nice. I also liked that our table of 4 was given 2 wine bottles of water, so we didn't need to wait for refills. The flavor and freshness wasn't quite where I would like it to be, for me. I react to high histamine foods so I usually eat pretty fresh foods, and this meal did cause a histamine rash. For most Thai food fans, this place is alright, just not knock-outta-the-park, write-home-about good.
