I ordered a meal through door dash, the wait time was good and the delivery person was friendly and courteous. My meal was a little disappointing. I ordered combination option of Pad Thai & Red Curry with chicken. The Pad Thai was as basic as I have ever had, there were crushed peanuts mixed in instead of sprinkled on top, no bean sprouts or shredded carrot garnish. The curry had a couple large pieces of chicken but no basil and negligible veggies. Normally when I order Chicken Pad Thai at other restaurants am asked a spice level, not here. Portion size is good though food seems a bit expensive for lunch. The only place that has gotten close is Blue Mountain Grill otherwise every Thai restaurant from Blaine to Fairhaven is a level 2. The flavor was excellent but not Spicy even with added chili paste. Ordered our usual for our family, pad Thai, chicken fried rice, sweet n sour chicken and spring rolls. $100. Spring rolls are $2.00 more now but order was the same. Our sweet n sour chicken container was half the size as normal and only 3/4 full barely. Totally got ripped off. We ordered chicken Pad Thai and Swimming Rama with chicken. Our coconut appetizer came, but the server didn't give us plates. It was hot and the sauce was syrupy, but we only had napkins. Our entrees were served as if they were for each of us, and we had to ask for plates to share the dishes. We had to request chopsticks. The food was OK but bland, we ordered two stars spicy. We ordered for pickup, just for me [my husband refuses to try Thai with me, as he has had bad experiences with Thai food] and they were kind to accommodate right before closing. I was surprised at the price and sizes for sauces. My husband went in to pick up, as I am disabled. We did not receive a receipt, so i do not know why it was so expensive. Over $20. I ordered a large peanut sauce and was bummed to receive a small soufflé cup of it, under a couple ounces. I wanted a side of coconut curry, and it was good, but I expected it to be just curry, it had vegetables in it. If i had known it would be with veggies, and that I was getting a big order of it, then i would have asked for tofu too. Also, I asked for spicy sauce on side, and it was so too small, like only a couple teaspoons of it!!! Had lunch here one day while in Bellingham. Ordered the Tom Yum soup - and asked - as I did not see it on the menu about Papaya salad. Yes, they do offer it - so I ordered that as well. I was served a very small cup of soup while I was waiting for my order - not sure what it was exactly but it was very garlicky. The food came out a few minutes later. I was surprised to see how big the bowl of Tom Yum was. They served it with noodles. I've never seen it served like that before. I skipped the noodles and ate the chicken, shrimp, vegetables and broth. The broth had a nice flavor, spicy and it seemed also to have a bit of garlic in it. Flavor-wise it was very good. You don't get much protein in bowl though - I had two shrimps and a few small pieces of chicken. I devoured the Papaya salad. The Papaya salad was very spicy - and a bit heavy on the garlic. The Tum Yum Goong hot and sour soup with shrimp was fantastic. The Tofu app was just "so-so". Justs topped in to try. Green curry was watery/over fish sauced in taste/ all bamboo shoots/ small amount of chicken/ barely a vegetable to be had except bamboo shoots. They gave 1/2 pint of rice barely enough for one person. I also tried the Tom Yum with prawns, much tastier but not as vibrant as should be. Will not return. Made a to-go order and chatted with the employee on the phone about how I always go back and forth between 3 star and 4 star when I order thai food. I went with 3 star for both orders. $23 for Phad Thai and Phad See Ew. I'm fine with that price if the quality matches. I'll pay the same at Nok's (or any other Thai in Seattle or Portland), or I'll be just as happy paying way less at On Rice. Get what you pay for. (Overheard an employee telling other employee she was angry about table 15 receiving their food 20 minutes before another table that was their first) My order was ready 35 minutes later and an employee announced my Phad See Ew and Phad Thai 2 stars was ready. Me: "Oh, I ordered 3 stars, not 2 stars." Employee: "Let me get you some spices. Sometimes it is not very spicy." Proceeds to reopen my to-go bag and add small containers of spices. A lot more Phad Thai than Phad See Ew. Awkward. Phad Thai is reddish and tastes like spaghetti sauce. Also awkward. Both orders of noodles are over-cooked and very soft. Where are the flavors and spices? Bland and blah. Slight metallic taste in some of the noodles. Personally I felt the pad thai tasted cheapened and the sauce tasted too ketchup-y. There is ample parking and the restaurant is spacious and clean. Both dishes were served on beautiful blue/white fish large platters which were quite interesting. A symphony of flavor for our tongues. Absolutely harmonious!!! I would never go back there again. My drunken noodles were rotten, tasted like eating cardboard, smell horrible with those bamboo shoots. You must not add bamboo shoots to drunken noodles period!! Be forewarned, unless I am misreading their menu, they charge you $1.50 for soda and $2 per refill.
