Came few times before for chaat snacking. They are quick on the service and food is served hot. I wish they had spicy sauce on side. They have lunch specials. The dinner time place gets packed so if you plan to eat at the place, come before rush hours. The seating are indoor and simple. The food is halal and they can provide more info as needed. Salmon tikka masala? YES PLEASE!!! I know next to nothing about Indian cuisine, except that I LOVE chicken tikka masala. Chaat Cafe makes some of the best I've ever had, and salmon tikka masala is an excellent variation. Tasty as can be, the spice level is just right and can be adjusted on request (extra spicy for me!), the price is reasonable, the portion size is enough to be a full meal in itself (I'm a light eater). I hate to say it, because I love their family dinner offering, their menu, and their approach to offering Indian food -- but this food was just too oily and spicy for this white pregnant lady (who normally loves Szechuan and rich spicy foods!). So take my review from that perspective, and if you love authentic Indian food, this is probably the place for you! I love that they offer a typical curry list, but also a ton of chaat items, and wraps for lunch with light sides! But I ordered the family dinner and then some, and the raita and salty lassi was TOO salty, the curries and daily veggies were too oily and heavy, and every dish that came had a base spice level too it that builds and doesn't leave you. Oddly, the cucumber salad was incredibly bland, but the spicy potato salad hit your tongue first thing with heat! I'm sure this place is excellent and authentic, it was super familiar and almost identical in menu and flavor to the incredible home cooked Pakistani food my sweet old neighbor would often bring me -- but I had to only eat it occasionally because of the heavy oil and spice. And I ordered everything mild. The menu is also well-priced, the family dinner is an excellent introduction to several dishes like the dal and the veggies, and service was quick and prompt! I'll give it one more try when I'm no longer pregnant, but for me, this is likely the type of spice I cannot handle :( read more

I've been a VERY longtime regular here mostly because I literally cannot live without their Paneer Makhani and their Naan -- ESPECIALLY their Naan. I don't what about it makes it so tasty, maybe perhaps the fact they are actually cooked in tandoors, but the bread is so soft and delicious. The Paneer Makhani gravy is rich and creamy and spicy at all, perfect for someone like me that can't handle any capsaicin! I've tried other parts of their menu as well and they are also good -- samosas, veggie wrap, biryani, dahi batata sev puri, etc. Though not EVERY single thing is super super amazing none of them are objectively bad. Any item is worth giving a go in my opinion. The only part of this place that I have a negative review for is the people. It's not they are mean or don't provide good service, but I have been here many many times since they have opened some years ago. Nearly every single time I've felt uncomfortable as a woman here. Many times I have caught the men from the window in the kitchen blatantly staring at me, I've felt their eyes on me when whoever I would come with orders, I can feel them looking at me as I'm walking... I thought I might have been overthinking it the first 5, 6 times but after that I didn't feel comfortable dining in anymore, so now I only do takeout unless I'm with someone that genuinely wants to eat in. Perhaps that's something to keep in mind when you dine in. Oh boy where do I start. From the jump right when you walk into the restaurant you can tell they got it goin on in here. Smells of delicious spices approach your nose and lead you to the register where the guys working are very helpful and have an awesome attitude! After ordering we go sit down and enjoy some music videos playing on the tv. The food really doesn't take long probably 10 minutes or less. For today we ordered butter chicken, paneer makhni, samosa and aloo tikki. Included is a big plate of rice and 4 pieces of delicious naan. Also they always include a veg of the day and a delicious lentil dish. The butter chicken sauce is WONDERFUL. Very rich and dipping the naan in the sauce will turn any bad day into smile. We always order the food spicy and they don't disappoint. If you can't handle heat be warned and ask for it a little more mild. My wife and I love this place and we can't stop raving about this restaurant. We're always coming back and getting the family meal. Ok so been to this place few times and got food to go. Like their fish pakoras so my colleagues always order it and yes they're good. Yesterday I ordered it on the phone! When I went to get it, I didn't try it or opened it! Got home and found out it was chicken pakoras! I didn't even know that they had that too! I called them and spoke to a gentleman and told him about what happened he said come next time I'll give you the fish pakoras. 5 minutes later they call me back and guy claiming he's the manager and asked me what's going on ? How can I help? So I told him what had happened and he said no will not give you ! Only 10% discount yes that is it! This has been our go-to restaurant for our family for several years now and this review is long overdue. I am usually looking for restaurants that have good ambiance, good food, good service, good value, and in the case of Indian restaurants, food that does not cause indigestion, which I believe is caused by preservatives certain ingredients. Luckily, Chaat Cafe is the perfect blend of good ambiance, good food, good service, good value, and their food is always fresh and free of any preservatives in my opinion. We absolutely enjoy picking up lunch, dinner, sometimes both with these amazing folks! They're awesome when it comes to substitutions, or anything else that really makes the dishes "ours". My boyfriend is from Southern India, and I of course have a softer side when it.coes to spice. Chaat here is delicious- in fact ours never make it past the parking lot! The Sev puri is my all time favorite! They'll fix it for us, and then we eat it in the car while the rest cooks. This is the highlight of our "date night" now that it's pandemic season. Stopped by for lunch today with my husband and had a great meal of dahi puri, sev puri and chicken tikka masala with tandoori roti. We liked it so much we carried out food for our kids. They loved the samosas and butter chicken. The flavor of all the food was great and it all tasted really fresh. I was glad to see from prior reviews that it is halal. We plan on catering butter chicken and samosas from here for future dinner parties. The ambience is clean and updated with lots of light. Really like the new direction of this restaurant! I love that they sell butter sauce and tikka sauce that I pair with their naan. Their sauces are so rich, creamy and spices are just right. My parents love the desi chicken wrap, we've been here twice in one week. We take it to go but as I wait for my order, I see that the restaurant is clean and spacious for families. Also, they have a nice staff of men that are calm, friendly, they always answer my countless questions with a smile. Will definitely be back, can't wait to try more things. read more

The food taste great. I love the chicken tikka masala. It has the right amount of spice for adults like us. We also ordered the butter chicken. It taste great as well and good for kids since it's not spicy at all. The chicken tandoori is great and servings enough for 4 people. Thought I'd give this place a try since my coworker likes going here. The dining area looked pretty clean. The menu board above seemed pretty simple with the items and prices, and laminated menus at the register with descriptions. You order, grab your table number, spoon, fork, condiments, and sit. They'll deliver the food to your table. I didn't want naan or rice (I know I know, how could I eat Indian food without it), but I just wanted protein. So I tried the, Tandoori Mixed Grill ($13.49). All meat with three chopped breast pieces of tandoori chicken tikka, a couple of spicy seekh kabob, and two pieces of tandoori salmon. It was perfectly grilled and topped with onion, cilantro, and chaat masala. This took awhile to be delivered, but I asked and they mentioned that it's made to order. Cool, no problem. When it arrived, it looked so damn good! The chicken was nice and soft, not over cooked, but my coworker had the same thing and said his was dry. I enjoyed the salmon as well, but unfortunately the seekh kabob was a bit too spicy and salty as hell! I mean, I can tolerate spiciness, but the level of this was way way high! And I don't know why so much salt was even added. Hope they weren't trying to cover up the meat freshness, but the seekh was the toughest of the three to eat. Not good! Service was a bit dry yet pleasant to say the least. I mean, Chaat Cafe is just a fast food Indian joint in my opinion. I flip flopped between two and three stars, but thought I'd be generous.
