The scratches and the minor dent.
Martha Mae K.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a repair shop. The first time I went so I could get an estimate, the lady on the phone schedule me for the wrong day. One of the guys still gave me an estimate but they kept me waiting in the room for nearly 50 minutes!! Not only was as frustrating as I was the second person in line and they were doing nothing but talking in the back room, but I was also late to work!! I really don't understand how a simple estimate could take 50 minutes!!! When they gave me my rental vehicle two days later, they made me wait even longer than what they said they would. This also made me late to work!!! The guy said it would take five minutes to sign some papers and have the vehicle ready for me... this ended up not being such a big problem as the guy who helped me out told me that my car would be ready by Monday which would be three days later. Monday comes and I do not receive a call. I called them on Monday and they say it will be ready by Friday that week. I called on Friday and then they tell me that they are still waiting on some parts and that it will be ready by the worst on Thursday the upcoming week. Thursday comes and they tell me that they will have it for sure by Tuesday because they received parts on cars that were there since January and that those are prioritized. TUESDAY COMES AND THEY FINALLY SAY THEY WILL GIVE ME MY VEHICLE. They tell me they will call me at around 3 to tell me when to pick it up as they were going to wash it and do something else that i did not comprehend. He asked if I could pick it up the day after and I said no, as I asked for it done BY TUESDAY LIKE THEY SAID. 3pm comes and I don't receive a call. They closed at 5 without giving me a call... they were just trying to get an extra day to finish whatever they were still not done with. I AM PAYING $350 PER MONTH TO NOT DRIVE MY CAR THIS MONTH. This is absolutely unacceptable, these guys show that they do not care at all about their customers or their needs. These people do not stick to their word and completely disregard that their customers are relying on them to have their car by the time stated by the repair shop. All they could offer was a sorry ass excuse when I told them that my car had very little damage to the Driver side door and that this shouldn't take this long to fix it. Do not ever go here if you need your car fixed within a certain time range or if you need your car fixed at all as a matter of fact. These people don't care about their customers, as they make them wait weeks to have their cars fixed, and inexcusable amounts of time to give estimates and get back onto the phone with customers. If I could raise zero stars I absolutely wholeheartedly would. Update: I just now saw how my car looks in the sun, the light exposes the absolute sh** job they did polishing my car. Trash business, trash job, no respect, nothing.

I recommend certified in Tracy. Car was damage on left side and was fixed with no complaints. Body lines matched and paint color was beautiful. No swirls on the car from rookie polishers. Appreciate the help and communication from staff each step of the way. Always keeping you in the loop.

Can't really say I recommend it. I had some scratches on my front and rear seat and wasn't happy…read morewith the color match and I did not expect a spray paint job that I could have done myself. On the blue section, and there was some over-spray and it has a yellowish green tint. It took him a few quick minutes to mix some dye and he didn't really spot check for match. I asked if he could match it better but he said it could make it worse. There was also over-spray. Frankie just blocks off the untouched spot by holding a piece of cardboard. It wasn't precision and care. Also, deep scratches could be sanded, smoothed and polished to match, but he doesn't go to this level of service. He just applies putty over it and lets you know it will leave a lump. However, the match on black was very good, almost perfect. But it felt rough due to the over-spray. Overall, I had expected a more precise hand polishing process and care for matching, but it was just quick spray paint. Deep scratches really didn't get resolved. The car is now a collectors item. I was hoping for a level of quality that matches the prestige. EDIT In response to the owner; I do not use Yelp much and do not write many reviews. But they are bad experiences that are memorable enough to share and I provided evidence (invoices and pictures) to support it. The owner's lack of accountability in his response should be a concern. I've had someone asking about his work the past few weeks (2025: 9 years later) and it prompted me to help this person and update the review and even tone it down a tad for the owner's benefit. 1 and 2. The pictures uploaded appear the same quality as the original but resized. Don't believe otherwise as the owner leads you to believe. Many of you have uploaded pictures and know this is is a lie. I believe Yelp will also dispute the owner on the quality of their site. 3. As for repairing scratches, I had no issues and mearly shared the level of service ($350 - in 2016 dollars) for the community, but the owner has a problem with me sharing it. 4. The car was just as pristine in 2016 as today 2025, 1,500 miles later. I have the invoices on the work, dated before Frankie's job. In fact, I should probably write a review on it since the owner seems to have a problem with me not writing good reviews, especially if it is redundant to many other good reviews. 5. The owner is lying about the date of the job and timing of my review. The job was done on 2/6/2016. My review was dated 5/7/2016. I moved away from the area June 2016 and was very busy with preparing for the move and finishing up my life there. 6. The owner claimed he could make it right, but as he mentioned during the job, he did not want to fix the mismatch. I had no reason to contact him further. I moved to a different area a few months later and had more important concerns than the owner's job and was fine with just writing a review. The owner needs to own it.

It is hard to find a great upholstery shop. We last went to a European Master Craftsman years ago…read morein Lafayette but he retired. Lucky for us because 15 years ago he was 1-1/2 times more expensive than what we paid recently at a different shop for better quality material and similar craftsmanship. We found Tri-Valley Upholstery (TVU) in Pleasanton after searching and doing some research. My wife reached out via e-mail to inquire about the work we needed and later followed up with pictures. Tri-Valley gave us an estimate and we scheduled an appointment to bring in one chair for evaluation and finalized specifics. We met with Eduardo who was very helpful, energic and enthusiastic. We picked out the material, received a sample, approved the material and scheduled the project. TVU did a beautiful job on reupholstering 6 chairs with a really nice piece of leather. Seats are taunt, tucked perfectly around the chair backs and the bead is spot on. There was a real minor tweak on 3 chairs that TVU took care of quickly. Dropped the chairs off and the next morning they were completed. Eduardo and his team are talented, very responsive, knowledgeable and produce quality work to make customers happy. If you need something reupholstered, give Tri-Valley Upholstery a try. You won't be disappointed and they are priced well.

I have an upholstered bed with upholstered side rails on both sides. Unfortunately, the side rail…read moreon one side of the bed cracked when it was plopped down on too roughly and I didn't know who to go to to repair it - the original store (Crate and Barrel) was completely useless. Fortunately I found Tri Valley Upholstery. I send them pictures of the damaged rail and made a "reservation" to bring it in the following week to be worked on right away so as to have as brief a down downtime as possible. Ed at Tri Valley was great - I brought it in on a Tuesday and was able to pick it up on Thursday beautifully repaired for what I felt was a very reasonable price considering the work that had to be done and the excellent job they did. I highly recommend them!
