Being new to the area, this is the second nail salon I've tried and I think I've found my go to salon! I got a regular pedicure and the lady working on me spent a good 35 minutes cleaning, massaging and painting my nails (not including soaking time). The regular pedicure includes sugar scrub massage, hot rocks massage and hot towels. Definitely enjoyed the pedicure. I also got a shellac manicure, which also took a good amount of time, from soaking my hands, to filing and cuticle clean up and once my nails were polished and down a hand massage. I initially wanted a Pearl white polish to match my white toes, but once I saw the color on my nails I didn't care for it. So one of the other ladies (didn't catch any names - but it seemed like she was the owner or manager and ran things in the salon) suggested the off-white/pink tinted nails and I went with her choice - glad I did! I went in on a Sunday morning, they were open early which was nice. I walk in and there is a man there that tells the other guy waiting that the girls are on there way and to wait a minute. About 20 min later one lady walks in and I continue to wait. Not a problem, then another lady shows up and she does me. As I'm sitting there no other workers come in but several customers continue to show up and there is still only two workers in currently. She finishes my pedicure and tells me to sit at the table for my shellac manicure. As I'm sitting there I see her go to one of the other customers that was waiting for a pedicure and helps her. The man comes to me and tells me to wait until the lady that is doing someone else. Overall the wait is my biggest complaint. Other than that my nails look good and the polish lasted longer than my usual place. I'll be back for another mani and pedi. Made an appointment and had sort of a long wait about 10 minutes. I generally expect that when places accept walk ins. Ladies had to switch off twice for a gel manicure. The end result was good through especially for how short my nails were. Over 2 weeks and they are still going pretty strong despite how tiny my nail beds are. Great hand and arm massage. The lady was sweet, but I called prior to coming and asked how much for a deluxe pedicure with regular polish and how much for a shellac manicure, she said $14 for nails and $35.00 for pedicure. I go in with cash tip included $60.00 total and went to ring up and she said $65.00, I was floored. Very disappointing. I don't spend money on pedicures often so when I do its supposed to be a treat. Well there was no pleasantries, my feet are still scaley, and there was no massage. This place is always busy and I don't understand why. The girl couldn't even be bothered to stop watching her soap opera long enough to finish putting the lotion on my feet. I went here March 15th. And got a pedicure and my nails done. Hours later I was in the emergency room. My foot was purple numb swollen and I could not walk what so ever. They did x-rays and found out she had done soft tissue and nerve damage in her massaging of my foot! I thought it was a lot harder than usual. Weeks later there is still bruising and I went to the podiatrist and he said he can feel the imprint and see them of her fingers. A pedicure is not supposed to hurt or damage you!!!! NEVER go here! Vy (Vee) really impressed me by really listening to and remembering my name (not an easy task). She really listened to what I like and don't like and gave me sound advice about nail shapes and what actually looks nice on my hands vs. the random internet pic ones always THINKS will look nice. I usually am not picky about my nails or any service I get and today was my first time going to the salon so I asked for a simple French manicure with acrylics. Not only is the tip weight but half of my nail is white as well so they look extremely thick and stubby. I still tipped because I am not one to usually not tip but I do regret it because my nails don't look good. They were very nice but I do not recommend asking for a French tip. read more

Came for a manicure and pedicure from out of town. Easy to get an appointment for 3 on the day of. Pedicure was great! Tammy did a great job on my feet and the hot stones were fabulous. Though Kathy did a good job on my nails, about 3/4 way through the manicure, I was horrified to notice a wart on Kathy's hand! It was not covered and kept rubbing against my skin though I tried my best to avoid it. I washed my hands and arms immediately afterwards, only time will tell if I get a wart. UGH read more

The new changes at Century Nails ( prior Queen Nails) are wonderful! Change in ownership and care delivery. They maintain a schedule that supports a relaxing spa experience its quiet and relaxing. They schedule such that they are not rushing you or making you feel like they want to push you out and move in the next person. I appreciate the avoidance of long waits and preference to schedule people. Hate to share too much because I hope to stay this way. Horrible experience at this nail salon. My niece was getting her nails done for homecoming tonight and I needed a fill. I wouldn't normally go to the salon but my normal salon was quite busy and I did not make an appointment because I was not planning on getting my nails done today but one of my nails fell off so I figured I would go to the salon with my niece who has never been here also. My niece showed a picture, pretty simple I would say of what she wanted and no way did it turn out anything like the photo. My nails did not get finished I had to have her stop in the middle of doing them because she was hurting me so bad. I told her that she was hurting me and burning me and it did not phase her, she even tossed my hand down as if I was an inconvenience to her. She split my fingers open on the sides of my nails and made me bleed, and my nails were completely uneven and not in the right shape. Be careful going here I'm not sure if her name was Amy but that's the stand that I was sitting at and also my niece was too. Worst experience hands down. Ouch! Queen Nails Offers Poor Customer Service When they Cut You. If you are searching for a nail salon, don't go here. One of the nail technicians cut my finger and made it bleed! After he cut me, he hastily left and I asked one of the other nail technicians where his license was because it was not visible. She told me he worked at a store in Gig Harbor. I then asked her which one and she said she did not know. In addition, they made me pay full price with a bleeding finger and ignored me when I asked to speak to the owner. If I were you and you were thinking about coming to this place with your bridesmaids, daughters, or girlfriends I would look elsewhere unless your willing to get cut by an un-licensed nail technician and pay full price. read more

New ownership! New look! Followed my lady Vee from the north end V-Nails. I'm very picky and have tried so many shops for a perfect shellac /gel manicure. Make an appt or you may wait for hours, but it's only because customers from V-Nails have folllowed Vee over. She remembers everyone's names, never treating anyone like a number. Even me, who didn't see her for years since I moved then came back. Their pedis are amazing, with tub liners, hot stones & hot towels. Colors are trending as well as the usual upscale brands. When I first began with Vee my fingernails were paper thin since the person I used to see removed my shellac with an electric nail file each time, not an acetone soaked Cotton ball with foil wrapped. Now they're strong & long! She saved my nails, bringing them back to life! I don't even know why people get acrylics anymore since shellac allows your nails to be the most natural as possible without having to worry about chipping or waiting for them to dry. I wasn't going to put a review in order to avoid more traffic but Vee said "don't be selfish!" I hate changing up my salons because everyone does nails different but queen nails did my nails terrible. The lady messed up on 7 out of 10 nails. She didn't do what I asked for. she made the French tip cover my whole nail and I think it looks terrible. she made almost all of them crooked and slanted. the people who work here have on a few occasions nicked my finger causing a small amount of bleeding which is horrible and frightening /c you feel like "who knows WHERE those instruments have been..." also, if there are people waiting to be seen they will rushy-rush you along like they can't wait to get you our of the chair... lastly, be prepared for no "thanks have a good day" or anything... they are totally rude... and they talk on the phone during services (what?) .... i will never ever go here again and i strongly recommend you try another salon in the area unless you like having your nails poorly done and risk getting some infection from being nicked. read more
