I've been coming here for about 3 years now since I moved to the area and absolutely LOVE Don! I've seen a couple techs here, but he is my favorite! He is such an asset to this business and has my loyalty bc of his work. I don't like my nails very thick and and he does the best job making them look as natural as possible. He got me using SNS now & being in the bridal industry, I use my hands a lot and they never chip in color or break- you need to try it! I used to do gel and he got me hooked on SNS and believe me when I say their color options are endless. I searched Yelp for a new nail joint and I landed on Center Point and it did not disappoint. Don did my dip set. I added a few tips for the fingers that had a bit shorter length. Don shaped my nails perfectly, literally my favorite shape that I've ever had. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to do the design that I asked about bc I only wanted dip (not gel) but I was so happy with the finished set. I also was trying a new red and he let me dip one nail to see the color once it was on, when I didn't like it, he was so pleasant and didn't mind taking it off and grabbing a new one (that I LOVED.) I am very happy with the service I received here. I arrived early and after using their nice bathroom Lee escorted me to a chair and got started right away! She gave me a beautiful SNS set- my first. I've never had gel or acrylic but SNS dip fit my needs just right. The buffer was surprisingly gentle- it's a really fine grit. I went with pink 326- cute and subdued. She poured the powder into a little pot to dunk my fingers and poured the remainder back when finished. The salon did not stink; it had great ventilation and air flow. It is big and well maintained. One thing I will say is push back your cuticles before going in- it was not included. The set of SNS cost me $40- totally reasonable. Thank you; I will be back! Finally found a decently-priced good pedicure! Centre Pointe is in a small shopping strip on North 16th Street, up near the Hilton Squaw Peak. They accept walk-ins (which I usually am), and I've always been seated pretty quickly. They have a "frequent visitor" card, where after 10 visits you get 40% off the 11th. They do manicures, pedicures, and waxing, though I've only gotten pedicures so far. The place looks and smells clean. I think they need to add more colors in their collection to choose from, but overall I'm pleased with this location. Also, they accept cards but want tips in cash. read more

If you value your time, and nails do NOT come here. I paid for a full set of acrylic nails, with gel polish. 11/26. Totaling $96 after tip. 1 week later every nail was lifting at the base. I returned and had to have the whole French set painted over. i Asked if we can fix these nails that are lifting. And explained I CANNOT have them busting off left and right. She said "it's too soon to fix them, if any break come back, and we will fix" low and behold, 12/7 they break off. So i'm thinking no big deal they told me they will fix. I return as soon as I can make it rushing home from work so I can avoid looking like trash for work tomorrow. I asked can we just take them off, since they are ALL lifting, so that they aren't all busting off. And was asked to set an appointment. These guys will upcharge for French tips, nail shape, but won't give you nails that will last even two weeks. If you don't want to return to the nail salon every few days go somewhere else. So summary My French tips lasted less than 3 days before lifting. 1 week they had to be painted over, because of the shotty work. Salon did NOT fix lifting nails on second trip. And still lasted less than two weeks, and I'm now stuck with fully painted nails, and only 9 of them. I'll be removing them myself since my hack job wasn't enough of a priority to fix. read more

After a somewhat negative customer service experience at our go-to nail salon a friend and I agreed to try Centre Pointe and have found our new salon! We were able to make an appointment that worked with our schedule and both enjoyed sns manicures and pedicures. I had Chris, who was quiet but professional. He did a great job with my mani, making sure the sns was not too thick and had a very natural look. My pedi was equally good, I enjoyed the hot stone massage and the cleanliness of the wrapped pedi bath. While our nails dried we received a neck massage, so relaxing! I went twice before posting a review. I think there are small Hygenic aspects that make the difference between a clean nail salon and one where some customers sort of worry. For starters, I would invest in new towels. Mine were pretty tired looking both times. It's just a turn off. I also felt both manicurists were somewhat off-putting. I have been getting my nails dipped at Centre Pointe every four weeks for about five years. I quickly found that Trisha's procedure worked the best for me due to the extra step of filing down the layers near the cuticle to prevent catching. I rarely have breakage, but when I do it's during cleaning mishaps (dishes, etc). I am also a former gymnast who has ingrown issues with my toes. I appreciate the care she takes in both prevention and management of my issues during pedicures. If Trisha is not available for both services, then I request Nancy for toes due to her thorough attention to detail with a strong yet gentle approach. read more

Unfortunately I must update my review and rating. I've been going to a different salon..but my regular tech was off. I needed to get my gels redone and remembered Lee at Centre point! I couldn't remember why I stopped going, so I hurried on over. When walking in the door, I asked how much my nails would be. The guy at the door told me $30. Cool. Same as my regular place. So he takes me to Lee. Tell her what I want..she immediately pulls out the drill- to take off my GEL. Not acrylic! GEL. So. I kindly ask her to soak off the GEL..you know, like my regular guy does. She goes on to tell me that I don't have Gel on..I have something else. Something she's never seen. I assure her- no. It's gel. I watched him put it on...from the bottle. It's gel. She argues! Then calls another person over and has a full on convo in their language..and tells me she can't soak off whatever it is on my nails- she has to use the file. Ok. Whatever. Just don't file my nail bed please. My nails were kinda long. I've been growing them out so I could get the coffin shape. They are now misshapen little nubby things..that I was charged $35 dollars for. She says: $5 extra since she used the file- THAT SHE WAS TRYING TO USE ANYWAYS!!! Pure crap! What a disappointment! I should not have had to pay for this tragedy! My regular tech is gonna be pissed when he sees how I ruined his hard work. read more

I went here for a pedicure the other day. It is really nice inside and a super luxe atmosphere. I walked in and only had to wait about 10 minutes for someone too see me. It was nice and efficient and they used hot stones to massage my lower legs and feet. They only thing I will say is that they way they painted the nails, wasn't perfect, there were a few missed spots. Also it's pretty expensive for what it is. But they do give you a massage after free of charge which is nice-not sure if they do that all the time though. read more

I am not one to leave reviews but I am so disappointed in this salon. I got a gel manicure on a Thursday at 12:30. By Friday at 7 am one of my nails was already chipped. By Sunday one of my nails had about half of the polish peeled off. I have routinely gotten gel manicures and never had them chip or peel this quickly. Additionally, I made an appointment at 12:00 but did not get started until 12:30. Then once we got started they told my manicurist that she had to switch clients and I had to wait 10 minutes for a new manicurist. This manicurist got up multiple times through out the manicure and went to a back room for no apparent reason. Many people have given this salon good reviews but I will not be going back. read more

I was in town for a Mommy Vacay---yes, a getaway for three moms with multiple kids under the age of 9, need I say more?!! My flight left last so I needed to find some ways to kill time before heading to catch my flight back to reality. Our hotel was minutes away and after reading the stellar Yelp reviews I booked a 1PM appointment for a fill with gel polish. I arrived a few minutes before my appointment and was pleasantly surprised how much better the interior looked compared to the run down strip mall the salon is housed in. I waited a few moments before being seated at their chic nail bar with white stone countertops, leather like high back chairs with ultra convenient hooks for your purse!! The technician began removing my gel polish and asked me what shape I wanted. I repeated myself a few times before she asked for some input from the woman in the first chair. Turns out this is who would end up finishing my nails and o couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome. Chi with her cute baby bump in tow, asked me what shape, thickness and curve I wanted. I loved how thorough she was! I mean, her attention to detail was awesome!!! Apparently she doesn't do nails anymore as she just runs the shop now but because of short staff due to vacations and illness she stepped in to help! Score for me. I wish I could bring her back to the Bay with me. If I ever return to the desert I'll most definitely pay her shop a visit and bring along my friends. read more

I got a manicure and a pedicure and was extremely dissatisfied with both. Not a great manicure at all, it wasn't even a manicure, all they did was paint my nails and literally nothing else. . They didn't clip or push back my cuticles or soak my hands. You can do what they did at home and save yourself some time and money. I also realized I wanted a bit darker color and when I spoke up before they started putting the polish on he completely ignored me and kept painting The pedicure was a bit better but not by much. I got the deluxe package with the massage, which I thought was a foot and leg massage, but it turned out to be a super awkward neck massage. During the pedicure they only rubbed lotion into my legs and did a bit of rubbing with the hot stones. When my toes were done they sat my at the light and made me lean forward in a chair where the lady sort of rubbed my neck....It was weird and by no means a massage and it was made worse by the fact that I was angled forward in a chair in an awkward position. Spent $120 after a tip I shouldn't have left to get my nails done before my wedding and am having to get them redone the morning of. Don't listen to all of the good reviews, they give a discount if you leave them a good review....this place is garbage don't waste your money read more

This place is always clean. The vibe is very nice. The dip manicure was surprisingly affordable ($40, but I had nothing to remove so with removal might be more expensive). The lady did a great job even though I kept my nails short and at their natural length. They have a lot of color options. The girl also gave me some tips for growing out my nails/ helping strengthen them. They also don't dip your finger right into the powder but into a separate little dish they have poured the powder into so that's nice. I have also had gel manicures and pedicures here. It is often busy so I recommend an appointment but they do their best to accommodate walk ins. read more

I had the worst nail technician ever yesterday. The last few times I've been there have been great, but the technician I had this time wasn't paying attention and cut me several times. She did not remove all of my cuticles and just painted on top of them. I asked her to please be careful because I'm pregnant. She did not care. I told her that my nails don't look good, she said "oh, sorry" and didn't do anything to fix them. Worst thing is I was getting my nails done for a maternity photo shoot and they ended up looking terrible, and I didn't have time to have them redone. The lady at the front was very nice and helpful, she called the manager right away and they did refund me for the manicure, but unfortunately that doesn't fix the fact that I was stuck with this ugly manicure for my photo shoot. read more

I am done with this place!! I let a few months pass, and decided to come again with my sister the first week of January. We got pedicures and manicures. I had an older​ male with glasses do my pedicure. He was rude, and did a lot of massage, but no cleaning or cutting around the nail or cuticle, I brought this up but he ignored me.. my sister's tech, Chris, was rude to her, rushed her and she told him he was going too fast, as the water was still filling up​ before he turned it off and began draining the water!! Her pinky nail is small, and he said to her "what do you want me to do?" she told him to paint it. (even though it is small, there is a nail there.) He said he was "confused" by it and didn't want to paint it.. she asked him if he wanted to hand over the polish so she could paint it herself. He eventually painted it. Fast forward a few weeks. January 21st, my grandmother and mom got a pedicure and manicure polish change. My mom had Vicky, and liked the polish change. My grandmother had Don for her pedicure. Don left her feet with a lot of dead skin and did not cut around the cuticle. He massaged her legs for a long time, but she explicitly​ told him that she really wanted the dead skin removed and for her cuticles to be taken care of. The next morning, my grandmother's feet looked horrendous, worse than before she went. I decided to call for her and reschedule​ her so that she can be happy with her feet. I called to make sure she can be scheduled with Don again​, but his availability​ was not until Friday, Jan 25th. I told them that there is the dead​ skin ​and​ that even though he won't be able to see her until Friday​ at 5pm, that I wanted to make sure the work was still guaranteed​ until then. I was assured that there would be no issue with taking her and fixing the work. On Jan. 24th, I figured I would get my manicure done while​ my grandmother was at her appointment, so I called to schedule my gel manicure with Vicky at 5pm for the next day. I was told that she had appointments​, but that I could be seen at 4, or 4:15. So I chose 4:15, so that my grandmother only waited 45minutes until her appointment​ with Don. I arrived at 4:17, and signed in. I was told that Vicky would take me soon. I sat dow​n and was not called until 5pm. I was very irritatred because I originally wanted 5pm, was told it was not possble, I arrive for my appointment​, and was not seen for 45 minutes​ later (at the time I​ originally wanted). The woman at the front, who is horrible, argued with my grandmother about her feet, and was refusing to do it. We asked for Don, and they said he was not available​. They finally sat her, but continued to argue with her and me​ about the dead skin, and said that she just has dead skin. No, she gives herself pedicures at home and she takes care of her feet, her feet looked awful​ the first time, and they needed to be fixed. They began to take off her deadskin, and I asked if they were going to give her a full pedicure, the woman with Auburn hair responded "I know how to do my job" with a huge attitude. Anyway, after I was finally getting my nails done after 45 minutes of waiting, I told Vicky that I wanted to keep my natural nails long because I grow them out and was on my 4th month of growth. I told her I did not cut them, but file and am meticulous with the length, she seemed to understand. When she finished, I looked at my nails, and they are all uneven and mis-shaped. The left hand is very long, and some of the nails are round, others are​ square​; the right hand is very short, notice index finger​ and ring finger. I was in disbelief, and upset, but after the hell I earlier went through​ with the pedicure, I just didn't​ say anything. So pissed. read more
