In addition, we offer new and reconditioned portable and central vacuum units for sale. As a full line vacuum cleaning system supplier, we stock vacuum pipe, fittings, inlets, and everything else needed for the do-it-yourselfer.
History
Established in 1947.
In 1947, Wehrli Home Appliances became Chicagoland's first self-servicing Hoover vacuum dealer. Over 40 years later, in 1988, the vacuum business split from the appliance store and became Wehrli's Vacuum Center, moving from downtown Naperville to our present location. Owner Bill Wehrli serviced and sold quality vacuum cleaners for Naperville's homes and businesses. In 2001, a young local vacuum collector was offered a job by the owner as a way to learn about the business as well as earn some spending money, which he used mostly to acquire more vacuum cleaners. His employment continued through high school, and he broadened his skills to include repairs, sales, and built-in vacuum installations in homes. This last skill became a side business which he ran until 2018, when Bill retired and that (now less young) employee became the current owner. Today, Owen Perkins and the dedicated team at Central Vacuum are proud to continue the legacy of fine products and outstanding service.

From a vacuum cleaner-enthralled todder, to an eager teenaged vacuum store employee, to a sole proprietor installing and servicing built-in vacuum systems, my life has revolved around this indispensable home appliance. Now as the owner of the store where I began my employment over 20 years ago, I'm proud to continue helping to bring our clients the finest in home care products and service.
