After 2 months of not getting a bathroom mirror we ordered, part of a much larger order we had placed, and then being told it was discontinued, a cancelled order, we were so disappointed that our bathroom was stalled, I expressed my disappointment on yelp. It was no time before I got a call from their showroom manager, Jennifer Hales, who straightened it all out. Ferguson could get the Medicine Cabinet but it would take a few weeks. We recently remodeled our kitchen, and bought our new sink and lights from Ferguson. While the quality of their products is good, their customer service is not. 1. We were promised our sink on a specific date because our granite fabricator was going to be onsite for measurements. They only delivered the soap dispenser. I had to leave work, drive to their warehouse, pick up the sink and deliver it myself. Then come to find out the sink didn't have all of the fittings that were supposed to be included so we had to jump through hoops to get them 2. One light that was delivered from the warehouse had been returned by someone else. How did we know that? There was a paper in the box from the party that returned it which had their full credit card information on it. And this light was damaged. So now almost three weeks later we are still waiting fir the replacement light. Every time I call them they say they will get back to me that day with an answer, but they don't. They don't follow up if they have a question, they don't call back with an update, nothing. Very disappointed in their customer service. I have spoken with the manager several times, and he is just as bad as the others there. They always say, "We'll get right on that and let you know," but then we don't hear from them. read more

Recommend avoiding this business if you can which admittedly is a little more difficult. On a positive note I have to say they still maintain a very nice selection of fixtures, etc. to put your eyes and hands on--that is a big plus in a buy-sight-unseen internet world now where you can get taken to the cleaners regularly despite paying a premium price. Also, once a problem is identified, the Manager makes a good faith effort on your behalf but these issues should not have happened in the first place. I added a star for the positives and mostly to the effort of the Manager who seems to recognize customers are the reason their doors are open. I feel Ferguson's business model stopped giving a hoot about you as a homeowner a while ago. Nevertheless, came to Ferguson to order another bathtub we had success with on another project. It was about an hour before closing and salesperson made us feel like we really weren't worth the time (Check Jacgueline's 1-star review below; I do not know nor have any affiliation with this person but their review is supporting representative of my experience in many details). Had to drag info from this person. They simply go to an affiliated site (Build.com) to order what you want which I could have just done but the salesperson lead me to believe they were doing something within Ferguson's system. It turns out Build.com is affiliated but you will not find your order with Ferguson if you call to check on anything. This is deceptive in my view. No clarifying the distinction between Ferguson and Build.com and once the order button was clicked with my payment info, Ferguson, at least this person, washed their hands of it including normal issues regarding coordination of delivery, etc. "Look for an email" was the guidance. Longer story shorter, everything after that disappointing encounter had to be fixed with personal involvement not only with Build.com, (who were cooperative enough I must say) but also the third-party delivery company---no incentive on the delivery company's part to take into account the instruction on the order--just get it there, which is what they did, left it right outside in the rain-snow. To their credit they did pick it up, days later though, but did redeliver per our original request and Build.com helped with that (definitely no thanks to our Ferguson salesperson). Also, the delivery guys I met were conscientious. But to add insult to the process, when we unpacked the tub for installation, it was discovered that the stabilizing struts on the outer edge of the tub were pulled loose from the cheap wooden blocking glued to the fiberglass. Superduper-low quality experience from start to finish. It seems Ferguson's emphasis is on the "show' in showroom. I think Ferguson should give thought to re-evaluating the model, especially their sale-to-point-of-installation logistics chain because it may be super-profitable for Ferguson but obliterates you as a customer. This is a showroom geared for professionals. I recommend making an appointment if you're serious about a quality product or come in with your designer. It's not a big box store so if you're just price shopping or looking for a place to try out things as a walk in your probably gonna be disappointed. Not always but from experience with this company... they stand by their products, easy to set up delivery, and everyone has been nice. I have been lost in the shuffle as well but I ordered a toilet for my parents in San Antonio, Texas. They are a nation wide company so it's not just a little store you're dealing with taking little orders. The seats come separate and my parents wanted to see the showroom in Texas and had no issues picking the order up in person. They didn't even know they had not only one so close but multiple in their city. read more

We went as walk-ins on a Saturday to test a faucet we saw online. We were greeted by a man named John. He was very nice, friendly and helpful. He gave us a business card since we were doing our master bath and in the near term our kitchen and basement. My husband is a contractor so I asked if they apply that rate. He said to email him and he'd apply it. After sending him the details he did not want to apply it unless my husband owned the company... what?!?! He wanted to inconvenience the owner to create an account for a couple thousand dollars. Really? Shame. We have never had this trouble anywhere. We wanted to continue working with Ferguson but they took actions that lost them a partner for our home . We will not send our friends or clients there. Went there last Saturday with my mom. I was in my workout clothes, my mom was in casual clothes - not dressed up at all. Just out running errands. I couldn't believe that not ONE person in Fergusons asked if they could help us. They were rude and had a "better than you" attitude. My mom asked to be helped, and they said they would put her on a waiting list. After waiting for 10-15 minutes, I told my mom I didn't want her spending her money at this establishment. I went online and found what we needed elsewhere. I understand being busy - but the attitude was unacceptable from the girl at the counter - to other salespeople not even greeting us. Wow, how things can change in 5 years! When we did the remodel of our home in Burr Ridge in 2008, we counted on Ferguson for our plumbing fixtures - we had a great person who assisted us. They provided some great products at a great price. Fast forward to 2013. We stopped in at Ferguson to get shower valves while we had the walls open during our condo remodel. I'll admit, we dropped in last-minute (I won't bore you with details, but with a change of the condo management company the day after we closed, things ended up being a little chaotic), but we were told that no one could help us for an hour or so (this wasn't on a weekend). I'm not the sensitive type, but the receptionist was almost rude about it. We decided to give them another chance because we needed shower doors. Given the challenges last time, my wife e-mailed last Friday and Saturday with details of what she wanted - we finally got a response Tuesday morning. In the meantime, my wife had left a message for one of the "consultants" Monday who called back at the end of the day to say she couldn't squeeze us in until Thursday. So, if you're looking for someone who is hard to even spend your money with (I guess that's supposed to make us feel like big-shots), this is the place to go. My wife and I stopped in here yesterday to look at some appliances. We walked around for over 40 minutes and not one person that works there ever acknowledged that we were there. I understand that we didn't have an appointment, but how about saying hi or welcome. We didn't get either one. We saw two associates that were just sitting there texting on their cell phones and could not be bothered by us being there.
