This was my third visit. I'll speak only to this visit. I ordered the Whiskey Bleu burger and asked for it to be a little pink. It wasn't. But, I think that's because it's two small patties, not one. I don't like a huge burger (1/4 to 1/3 lb is plenty). Anyway, my burger was a little dry but flavorful. My husband had the Fire and Smoke burger and liked it. I got the onion rings for my side. They could use more Cajun seasoning but were good. Great beer choices. I'm an amber beer drinker and did have two choices which, surprisingly, is rare! I'm only referring to draft beer options here. Our server - Keeley - was awesome! read more

My husband and I have been coming to this place for over a year now and EVERY TIME the food is always amazing, the drink menu always changing and the service wonderful! All this comes at a pretty reasonable price too! Everytime we try another place in the QC we compare it to Central Standard and honestly not a lot of places have matched the quality and standard of this place! To the owner, PLEASE DONT CHANGE ANYTHING your servers, bartenders and cooks are WONDERFUL! read more

I will begin by saying I like the atmosphere of the Central Standard. I like the lighting, furniture, and how quick the servers move to each table. The establishment was also very clean. Where things declined for me was the food. I had the turkey burger and a side of fries. The burger was thoroughly underwhelming. It was not juicy nor was it flavorful. It was well-cooked though. The bun was simple, but enjoyable though. The fries were very good though. They were hot and crispy. They also weren't too salty, which is good. My sever was courteous and frequented the table a good amount of times. I'm more than willing to come back, but I will not be getting the turkey burger. read more

This place is a common place to head to. It has great staff and food and is decently priced.

Good choice of food. Good location, nice crowd. Good list of craft beers. Not to noisy plenty of tv's music good atmosphere.

I really wanted to rate this place better than 2 stars but the food is average in my opinion. We chose a variety of different options starting with the cheese curds and garlic pretzel knots. The cheese curds were actually pretty good! Our server said they were transitioning menus and did not have the knots but just had regular pretzels when we went. They really tasted like a pretzel with garlic butter thrown on top...nothing we could not make at home. We had a large party so we tried a variety of different burgers, etc for dinner but I will just comment on the two that I personally tried. I was super excited about the bacon grilled cheese because from the description it sounded fancy and delicious. We were really disappointed. It came out looking like something we made at home. Plain bread, what appeared to be american cheese with bacon slices thrown in. Such a disappointment. I also tried the early riser burger with an egg. I think what really missed the mark here was the bread. The bun tasted very plain like it was missing an ingredient or two. Just no flavor what-so-ever. Also, the burger itself was very bland. Our server was great, the place was clean and had a fun vibe to it. I really wish the food was better. The Quad Cities needs more quality food establishments. read more

The best food and quickest service! Had our food in less than 15 minutes, and our server was a the sweetest!! Highly recommend the Thai Tacos and the Chickpea Burger. If you're on the fence, it's the best choice for dinner in Bettendorf IA!!! read more

Good burgers and a large selection of beers in a clean but uninspired modern sports bar environ...

Great options and tasty food but can be pricey! Service is hot or miss depending upon your wait staff.

Nice atmosphere and good food. Spent almost $80 for my family of 4 to eat there. They still charged a credit card fee of $2.39. I don't like to eat at places that do that. read more

The BURGERS! I'm not sure why my husband had the brisket melt (though it looked ah-mazing) when the burgers were both unique and delicious. My Fire and Smoke burger was the perfect balance of hot, sweet juicy umami. The sandwiches come with super crispy house made fries, though other options are available and I consider them my ideal fry. An entire double sided sheet of craft beers, milkshakes and appetizers round out the menu. We will have a 50 min drive, but we'll be back. read more

Took my son here for his birthday because we heard good things about their burgers and shakes. Wait staff was very attentive, but it didn't seem like they got a lot of kids in there. Fries were nicely crisped and the burgers were juicy, well-proportioned, and deftly seasoned. My boy ordered a s'mores shake, and it lived up to the hype both in visual appeal and flavor. I usually go for a thicker, creamier shake; this one was thinner and more drinkable, but still decadent and flavorful. The menu had a few surprises I am excited to go back and try, and it just seemed like they knew what they were doing and who they wanted to be. It was confident, fun, and bold. read more

I came to Central Standard with a group of around 10 people last Friday. It was quite busy (and loud!) and I was very impressed at how well the employees did at having a place ready for us at the previously arranged time. Our waitress did a great job serving our table and was incredibly patient when not everyone arrived on time and when we lingered for quite awhile after dining. I ordered a Pub Burger, which came with crunchy onion strings and pimento beer cheese. The onions were really good and the beer cheese was a little superfluous, and though my burger was cooked to specification I felt that it really wasn't a $13 burger. Good but not great. I did really enjoy the perfectly fried cheese curds one of my friends ordered as an appetizer and if I come again will definitely get some for the table. While the service at Central Standard was excellent, I felt that prices were too high for the mediocre standard of food. I would come again if somebody else wanted to eat here, but it's probably not a place that I'll elect to return. read more

I have literally had every burger on the menu...with and without the egg on top. All of them are outstanding. The drink menu is also very good. Like option for indoor, outdoor or bring your own seating. read more

I so wanted to like this place more than I did. A place that supposedly has a ton of beer and great burgers?! In the Quad Cities?! Yes please!! And that's where it ended... the burgers were DRY and nothing special. In fact, they were down right forgettable. The coleslaw was bland and had absolutely no flavor, and the onion rings were soft. Why does that?! My husband got chicken wings and was happy with it, I had a burger and the father in law did too- both were meh... Now! The beer! Holy cannoli?! What a list! That was impressive however... no Milwaukee or Wisconsin beer?! What's up with that! And the impressive beer list... EXPENSIVE!!!! I have NEVER paid those prices for a bottle of beer and I never will. Horrible beer prices. So in my opinion, this place has the potential to be great..it just isn't there. Don't waist your $. Just go to Applebee's or some other chain restaurant where you know exactly what you will get and won't pay upwards of $10 for a bottle of beer. read more

Delicious food. Fabulous gluten free bun. Lots of delicious looking options. Excellent service. Leftovers to take home. Two thumbs up.

Central Standard is the standard. Good service, great food and atmosphere. They have a very organized kitchen process and obviously follow standard operating procedures. Always a great experience with a reasonable price. A local favorite. read more

Truly trash. Had the Turkey burger which tasted like a slice of leather. Also minuscule in size. Also tried the cheese tots. Tasted like they melted a slice of government cheese over some day old tots and microwaved them. Overpriced as the total was $18+ for a burger & tots. Not sure how they're rated above 2 stars. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in the Quad Cities. The food is excellent. The cheese curds are to die for. I always get the burger with more cheese curds on it. They have one of the best tap lists for beer in the quad cities also. read more

The cheese curds are incredible! Good beer, kid friendly and alot of options. The Korean tacos are a great sleeper on the menu.

From the minute I called to see if they could accommodate our group to the minute we left the service was OUTSTANDING at Central Standard. We had a large group who they accommodated WAY above and beyond any expectations. The menu included a great selection and tasted good and served hot. They even allowed us to have 12 separate tickets! read more

Been sitting here for almost 20 minutes and have yet to even see our waitress or receive any sort of service. The bar tender got

Absolute B.S. Central Standard. I ask for a reservation for 6. I'm told 20 minutes. My wife tells me we are being joined by 3 more ( 2 of which are kids). I tell the reservation people immediately I need to change it to 9. They tell me it will be more of a 35 minute wait. I tell them I'll head next door to 5 Five Cities Brewing. Same owners BTW. 45 minutes later I head over to check on reservation understanding it's a Saturday night. They tell me they can't accommodate 9 without a reservation as im looking at a larger table that had just been sat which they claim had a reservation even though they are an out of town baseball team so I call BS. So they tell me the only way they can accommodate me is to split our group up. I ask why they didn't mention that 45 minutes ago because I would have just ordered from 5 cities or gone elsewhere. No explanation given even though it was the manager that said he would make it work 45 minutes prior and the same manager that told me they couldn't accommodate us without splitting us up. So we head back to 5 cities against my will at this point knowing it's the same owners and I'm frustrated. Then the bartender at 5 Cities gives us attitude and an eye role when we explain what's going on next door. Well sorry Central Standard and 5 cities. I'm done with you both! read more

I had the tenderloin and onion rings. Very disappointed as they both had too much batter on them and it was burnt. Not a nice golden brown. I went home with indigestion. read more

I would happily give this place 3.5 stars. Cons: We had a fairly long wait without the space to stand, so we were always in the way. The music was extremely loud, which made it very difficult to have a conversation and spent out time yelling to each other. The pastrami sandwich was so-so, and the onion rings were too big and thick (part of the breading was doughy). It was also pretty pricey for a burger, ridiculous prices for the sides. It would have been nice to have a bigger selection of burgers, since those are their claim to fame. (I'm comparing this to the selection of burgers at Shorts Burgers in Iowa City) Also, they have no changing stations. I'm sorry, but if you have high chairs and booster seats, GET A CHANGING STATION!! Pros: We had a great server, and he was very knowledgeable about the menu. I thought the burgers we delicious (albeit pricey). They were thin, crispy, greasy patties. I had the Down on the Ranch, which I much preferred to my hubby's Oh No You Didn't. read more

I came this afternoon to celebrate my birthday. Our waiter was amazing!!!! The burger and fries were absolutely the best They also gave me a cheesecake shake to help us celebrate We will definitely be back read more

Love the burgers selections and wings. Have not had the boozy shake but they look amazing. Could do without flirty waitress.

I was definitely impressed! I actually was in a sour mood when I got there, I didn't want bar food which is what I was expecting. Just after being seated my entire mood changed. The staff was awesome. I ordered the portabella mushroom and Swiss burger with the asparagus along with cheese curds for an appetizer for the table. The curds has just the best light breading on them making them beyond perfect; the burger juicy and succulent the mushrooms were perfect not over cooked or mushy. The atmosphere topped it off. Definitely going back again and again! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a enjoyable dining experience. read more

Very cool new space with delicious burgers. My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon expecting to wait for a table. Lucky for us, it was the calm before the storm. We were seated immediately before the herd came in. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed but did a decent job filling our needs. We both ordered the same burger expecting a little more out of it for the price. The meat was delicious but pretty greasy. Great ambiance and decor. Will visit again! read more

While CS is a tad bit expensive for a burger place, everything I've tried there is good, and I love that they have Brussels sprouts or asparagus as an option for us people on keto read more

Good selection of sandwiches and salads. Great place for a casual lunch or dinner. Nice cocktail menu and beer selection as well.

After hearing mixed reviews, I finally ventured out and gave it a shot. Let me start by saying, it's a very cute/trendy restaurant! I like how they pulled off the industrial/hip vibe without looking too overdone. When we got there, on a Saturday lunch shift, they were jamming. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar and were greeted immediately. The service was great- she informed us of their happy hour specials and gave us samples of all the beers we asked about. We got the spinach artichoke dip as an app and it was pretty decent. Nothing really stood out about it but I wouldn't be opposed to getting it again. I got the "Down On The Ranch" burger and it was.. okay. I don't like that you can't get your burger cooked the way you want. You get your choice of medium well or well done. Uhh... okay. It seemed like the burgers were more about what they're topped with than the actual burger itself. So you're paying $11-12 for a mediocre burger with crazy toppings/garnishes. I'm glad I got to see what the hype was all about but honestly I could take or leave this place. read more

Finally came on night where tbere wasn't a long wit. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of tvs. Fun spot to watch a game. Burger was good with a nice variety. One of the best in the QCA. Fries are crispy. Closest we have to Shake Shack. Glad we have this in our area. read more

I have been wanting to try this place out and I'm so glad I did. Keeley was timely about everything and so the service was great. We started with the Wisconsin cheese curd app and I can't describe them accurately so it's something you just have to try. But perfect is what they are. Not frozen and fried to explosion. Also got a kids tender meal and burgers-The portobello burger and the Oh-No burger and a side salad and it was all so well put together. Neat, not sloppy, and fresh. Thanks to the cooks. The bbq brusselsprouts did not sound that great at first until I spotted the bacon jam glaze they have and that was fantastic as well. Can't wait to go back. This was our Friday/back to school family dinner and were all happy, and stuffed.... read more

Have been wanting to try this place out. Interesting atmosphere with lots of tvs. The kind of place you take someone who you don't like to talk to that much but they've been wanting to grab lunch for a while. . BTW the bowl game between Illinois and Hawaii played in 1992 was playing on ESPN classic. What a game! We heard about their shakes so we tried one out. This place doesn't mess around with their shakes. It looked like they murdered an entire village of Keebler elves to create this shake. Pork nachos were good but turned stomach into toxic swamp. Only giving four stars because of the thunderous bathroom explosion the meal caused the following morning. 4/5 stars. read more

I can hands down say this was a positive first experience at central standard. The place has a wide burger variety but also has great sandwiches as well. I ordered the bacon grilled cheese and was definetly not disappointed. I also got a side of cheese curds which came out hot and fresh with all the cheese I could desire. I topped my meal off with a very immense shake that this place is known for. I ordered the cookie dough shake and I was in love from bite one. I can honestly say central standard is a place for all ages and occasions. It's on the chiller spectrum with a low lit room. The shakes are ginormous and easily shareable, I would definetly advise saving your appetite for desert at this location! The staff was friendly and helpful. I can honestly say I'll be back again in the future! read more

Everyone in our group loved the burgers they ordered. The onion rings were fantastic, as was the snicker malt.
