Burgers here are amazing. Perhaps the best burger in the Quad Cities. They have the best beer selection of any bar in the QC as well.

Our first visit to this restaurant and it was a nice surprise. Probably one of the best turkey burgers I've ever had and the rest of our party said the same about their beef burgers. Looking forward to a return trip. read more

This place is loud! Almost always a wait .Veggie burger and beer selection are good. Beware of the Mahi Tacos, FAR too much jalapeño. I tried to pick it out, but they must have left the seeds in. Took our waitress almost 10 min before even coming to our table. my husband ordered a a tall beer and received a small. Waitress did correct the issue. Our food took an extremely long time to arrive. I had ordered sweet potato fries and received regular. The waitress said she would bring them out as soon as they were done. we were already done eating by the time she brought them out and they were cold. The burgers were very salty. I had to wait another long time just to get the check and had to ask multiple times for to go boxes. we will not be back. read more

First off...I hate only giving these guys a three. Having found most of the dining choices in the Quad Cities to be dated, heavy handed and bland...I was pleasantly surprised as the modern approach to the menu, libations, and decor. The beer list was fantastic and the diversity of the burger options was something that I have missed since moving here. They have both. Both my wife and I were happy with the quality of the burgers. I asked for med rare, and that's what I received. This automatically gives them a 4 star rating, as most...yes most restaurants can't seem to get this simple task right. So far so good... The service was very sub par. I asked for extra crispy tots...they were not. I asked for extra pimento cheese for my burger, and it wasn't delivered. Our waiter walked by us a hundred times, never acknowledging our table. Never asking us how our food was. $44 dollars for 2 burgers, a beer and a soda. Not one "How's your food? Not once even mentioning that he forgot the extra crispy tots and extra cheese. He was more concerned with small talk between he and his coworkers. Anyway...we will give them another chance. We will give them another chance to earn more than a 10% tip and an average review. One more chance. read more

The place was clean and well decorated but the prices were very high. The burgers well over priced. It was like eating at a high priced Steak and Shake which I do like steak and shake burgers. I really like the food here. The burgers are good and the fries are awesome. The shakes are delicious and over the top. My only real beef with this place is every time we come in we are never greeted. I don't know if we are not dressed like we can afford the food or what. This has happened the last three times so I know it is not a fluke. I keep hoping they will be nice to us but they never are. The servers however are amazing. One time no one came up at all because they were confused and we waited 10 minutes and then they sat us at a dirty booth. Hey all you Gluten Free friends out there - this place is for YOU! One of the most frustrating things about going gluten free, is surrendering all of those well-loved classics. But at Central, there is no compromising! Not only are their burgers, thick, juicy and practically swoon-worthy, but their gluten free buns are pure buttery deliciousness. Personally I would suggest the Pub or Swiss burgers - incredibly flavorful and filling! I also would probably avoid the Turkey burger - it's one of their weaker menu items. Aside from the cuisine, the service is also incredibly fast, even with the place usually being packed. Overall it's a fantastic experience. read more

When central Standard came i was so happy so we went there and I got a cheeseburger and fries when she brought it out the burger was so soggy it had a whole cup of water. And the fries were burn't not even crispy just black fries. But I gave it a two because the staff was nice. So I guess I'm never coming back. read more

At Happy Hour, the keg blew and I got a 2/3 pour with the rest being foam. Every other place I have gone to when a keg blows the remnants are free but ok whatever.. Anyway, I commented on wanting a full pour & waitress asked what other beer I wanted. Instead of bringing me a full pour in a pint glass.. I got a small sample glass which isn't even close to making up the difference. Ambiance involved little league teams running up and down the aisles but recognize that is just due to poor parenting. When our food was delivered, the server nearly fell over because little kids got in behind him. One star because the food was ok. I will start with the building it was pretty cool. We ordered an appetizer, the cheese curd's, and they were mostly just breading. The cheese had been fried out of 70%, there was a hand full with cheese left in them, but just saturated in grease and sat in your stomach for hours after. The dip they came with was pretty good. They did have a kids menus so that is about the only good thing about this place. The burgers were not very good either, we had the basic and it was decent, and a 12$ one with and egg in it. It was not a $12 burger i would say Wendy's fast food has a better burger and that's only a couple bucks. The Fries were good, i will give them that and only that. This is the part i feel bad about, but i am going to put in in here anyways. Our waiter was sweating profusely, and he was wiping the sweat with the back of his hand. At one point water was set at the table and we honestly didn't know if the drops on the table we sweat or water droplets. I was really hoping this would be a great local burger but it was not. The burger was 40% beef, 100,000% grease. Grease is in the air, on the seats, everywhere. I felt like I had walked in on Guy Fieri frying a slab of butter. I'm more impressed by the fantastical claims people have about this place. The burgers are not even good, let alone great. If you choose to dine here. Do yourself, and everyone around you, a favor and shower afterwards. EDIT - A lot of people label this place as 'trendy'. Nice restaurant, good atmosphere, good food. But really pricey for lunch. Unless you order a burger, sides are extra ($3-5). Burgers include 2 thin patties well done, so you can't cook to order. Kids' menu has standard kids' meals - chicken tenders, hot dog, Mac n cheese, etc - for $6.50 each. Overall, nice trendy new restaurant with decent food. Central standard had great food and drinks and I hope to go back again. Although I was not impressed with the service. The Gen. Mgr was using a table in the back of the restaurant for his own business/ personal use... Not ideal when there is a 90 minute wait! Our waitress kept ignoring us which was aggravating. I also noticed the wait staff was so slow that the kitchen was delivering the meals. Not sure if this was planned but they looked pretty frazzled.
