I stumbled on this new coffee shop when I was passing by and saw a few people outside. The front has really cute tables and chairs and I saw a heater which I thought was a nice addition. The inside is decorated really modern and with some flare. Green velvet stools and couches, cognac leather, very minimalistic but done well. I asked one of the baristas what her recommendation was and she immediately said the toasted marshmallow latte so that's what I ordered. I'm a little disappointed they don't carry non-fat and the food options were slim. Hoping this is just since they are new. The latte was great! I'm skeptical and a picky coffee person as the coffee usually taste great but has no juice if you know what I mean! I think this latte tasted amazing and had some juice...enough to wake me up which is enough in a latte. I would go back again...I'd love to see some food options and non-fat milk for sure! I was so excited about Central Coffee and love their pastries and desserts but unfortunately the coffee isn't good. No matter how many tries I give, my order always tastes like milk. I've even requested additional shots of espresso and it's made no difference. This has been disappointing considering the price. The line can also be a little overwhelming considering they seem to be appropriately staffed. I will continue visiting to support local business and in hopes that one day, I get a good cup of coffee. read more

Friendly, warm, caring service was immediately apparent. We order two drinks (cortado and cappuccino) that were expertly made. That said, we prefer light roast beans so we can taste the coffee without a burnt taste. We know this is not the usual request of customers but it keeps us from ordering coffee when we're out and about. We'd happily return to try non-coffee drinks, treats, and, if ever on offer, light roast coffee. read more

I wanted to gate keep this, but I can not tell a lie. For all you coffee snobs out there, this is the best coffee shop in town! It's super cute, small, and vibey. The coffee and tea are amazing. The food is great, as is the service. The vibes are chill and comfortable. I love the chamomile latte, which is a hug in a mug. It's a great sit-down spot and also great quality coffee to take to go. I came here on a Friday morning and was met by a very awkward encounter with the girl at the cash register. She was blonde with gauges in her ears and tattoos on her arms. She literally just STARED at me without saying anything as I walked in the door and up to the register. She didn't even ask me for my order she just kept staring at me in a very unwelcoming, unfriendly way. But get this, another blonde girl walks into the shop and she gets the whole, "Hi, hello, welcome, how are you," thing. So I'm taken aback and I'm not sure if it was because I didn't hear her at first or not but the pursuing silent stares makes me think otherwise. I'm not sure if it's because of the way I'm dressed or because I'm not the same ethnicity as the girl who walked in behind me? Why the completely different treatment? Anyway, I ordered a small latte and the smoked salmon toast. The food was ok and the rest of the staff members were nice. But that initial interaction completely turned me off from this place. Luckily there are plenty of other cafes in the area and I'll be frequenting those instead. read more

I was at Central Coffee co around 10:30 today. I love their coffee, but on the weekends their performance could be better. The girl at the cash register does not give/type orders correctly and then the wrong coffee is made, she does not give your pastry order at the correct time (I had to ask 2 times for this pastry and it was not warm) and the girl who made my coffee (creme brulee latte) made it incorrectly. I often go to this coffee shop and expect my coffee to be made correctly since they are more expensive than other places. I would rather support them than Starbucks. The staff who work during the week are amazing. They are kind, smiling, and make everything as it should be. I would leave 5 stars for the week and 2 stars for the weekend. If you are going to this coffee shop, go during the week, not on the weekends. read more

Saw the hot apple-cider sign white visiting the Tracy flea market so decided to try it. It's a cute little spot with friendly baristas and servers they were really sweet and patient with my questions. I was a bit disappointed that they had 'coming soon' tags on their sandwiches but I'm guessing that's because they're new. Such a cute coffee shop that just opened in Tracy! There's also people coming and going so I can be a bit hard finding seating. The menu is simple but they always have a variety of seasonal drinks. I got the Toast Marshmallow coffee and it is a bit on the sweeter side but they do delivery on the toasted marshmallow taste. It is a lovely place to hang out with friends. I wasn't asked if I wanted a to go cup or a ceramic one, but that's a minor issue. read more

Happy to have another coffee shop downtown, this one being a little more upscale than the other options. It's decorated very nicely. Was disappointed that they were out of cold brew at 11am. Was then offered an iced americano instead, sure that works! Found it strange when the cashier told me that I could do a 16 ounce "but it's really 12 ounces, since the ice makes up the rest of the cup". Then she seemed very confused when I tried to order an espresso as well. Espresso was great, would put it at a 6.5/10 on darkness scale. Iced americano was a bit light in color and flavor, believe it was just a double shot, would prefer it with 3 shots for a large size. read more

Update: though I loved this coffee shop at first, I find it hard to keep going back for two main reasons: 1. Automatic up charge for iced drinks, making the total come out to $6 sometimes $7 depending on the drink & milk type. 2. The espresso shots are not very prominent even though they are medium roast, which is the standard at most coffee shops. What I means by my second point is that I do not think they are pulling/extracting the espresso shot at the correct dial. I definitely believe if they fixed this their espresso drinks would be phenomenal! read more

I work in the area and thought to stop by and get an Iced Chai Latte and an Almond Croissant before my shift. As I entered I was not welcomed. Waited in line, three feet in front of the counter and still no welcome. The person in front of me ordered and it was my turn, the employee turned around and proceeded to get another persons food(which is understandable) after a minute she turns around and still no welcome. I said good morning. And no response. This is my first time here, and it was a bad experience with friendliness and feeling welcomed. From the back another employee stepped out and announced my drink. As I picked it up again three feet from the barista no hello or thank you. As they called out my name again they placed my food at the pick up area even though I was one of two people there. The area where they prep the pastries is closer to the entrance right where I was standing. My thinking is if the person that you know ordered the pastry your putting out is 4 ft away why not boost you personable quality and hand it to them instead of having them walk to the back area. As I left no thank you. I made sure I said good morning and thank you every step of the way and it was very forced on their end. The setting is nice however the customer service was questionable. Five stars is just not enough for this amazing coffee shop. The coffee is excellent, the pastries amazing and the hours are the best in town. If you need espresso on a Sunday or at 6am on a weekday, this is your only place to go and you will be as happy as me and my husband were to find it. Honestly this review is before even trying the coffee... the lack of sense of urgency is astonishing. I'm sorry but waiting 27 minutes for a thin mint iced coffee is beyond insane. Personally while sitting down and noticing multiple different things, while one person is ever so slowly working the coffee maker and the other one is sooooo generously aesthetically stacking cups rather than helping out with the very noticeable line of people waiting with grumpy looks on their faces. There needs to be SOME type of urgency to make it seem like you're not wasting our time in a shop with 0 space to sit and wait. At least look busy if you can't keep up with the pace honestly ridiculous. But hey at least the place looks aesthetic enough for everyone in tracy to feel like they are in LA read more

9/13/24: This is the second time that I went to Central Coffee Company this morning. The service is fantastic! All the people who work there are very good and very friendly! The atmosphere is very fun, relaxed, cool, and hip! I met several new people there that I did not know and have several friendly conversations. I met the owner this morning. He is super nice and has a great vision for Central Coffee Company now and in the future! Tracy definitely needs to promote CCC. and other great businesses like it in Tracy! The people who live here both need it and deserve it! PS. The coffee and pastries there are great as well! I highly recommend both the Oat Milk and Pumpkin Spice Latte's and the Raspberry Scones and Cheese Danish's in particular! read more
