I rarely write reviews on yelp but this specific Peet's coffee location inside Raley's deserves the most praise. In comparison to Starbucks, there's less hustle and bustle. It caters to a more intimate and personable experience with the baristas and they really take the time to craft the drinks with quality on every single visit. I made the switch from Starbucks to Peet's several months ago and they have never disappointed me. I love going here and will continue to keep my vulnerable early morning coffee rituals in their hands. Such phenomenal service, no wait and I always recommend this location nestled in Raley's to those seeking a pleasant, stress-free start to their day. read more

Went to Peet's to meet friends for coffee. There was no one in line. An older woman said she'd be with me in a minute. I really appreciated being acknowledged. I ordered a hot grande nonfat latte. The woman looked at me with a scowl and in a gruff voice said she didn't know what a grande was. She only knew small, medium, and large. I told her I would have a medium. The latte was hot and tasted good. I will return, but I hope that woman will be a bit more friendly. I do frequent other coffee establishments and most baristas are friendly and personable. read more

Always a good place to come to when visiting Monterey. Peet's brand has never been a let down. Only downside is that the closed the Portola location and had to walk a few blocks to get here. Workers there were very nice. read more

I almost expected a Peet's Coffee in this location, and that's half right. It's in Raley's, which isn't terrible, and they have a place to sit, but it's still in a grocery store, and they don't have the full selection. Still, it's better than the Manteca location, which requires someone from the bakery or deli to stop what they're doing to make your drink. The person who took my coffee was really friendly and we talked a bit while she was making my Mocha Freddo. She did a great job on it, also. I really wish we'd get some of that fresh food that they say that they have in "northern California". I guess my map is different than their map. Still, glad to have their coffee at Raley's. The good thing about these locations in Raley's is that when you use your Something Extra card, you buy 7 drinks, you get the next one free. I wish this worked at Peet's standalone locations, but this should also work at Bel Air and Nob Hill locations within the grocery chain. read more

The lady working tonight Fri 1/14/22 5pm-6pm) seems like she needs a day off! She barely greeted us when we got to the counter. I mistakenly asked for a size tall, and she rudely says "you mean a small!" And I laughed and said ooh yes im sorry a small. And she didn't respond, rang me up, I had a cupcake as well thst was on the counter to ring. Up. I couldn't find the bar code for her to scan she was annoyed and said turn it around! She was just rude! I killed her with kindness, said thank you very much. She didn't offer me a receipt, and when my drink was ready just left it on the counter! I'm like thank you again! If you want to enjoy a nice cup of coffee inside, note that there's no wifi here and the area is pretty cramped. I came in because starbucks closed at 9:30pm and I wanted a few extra hours to study, but was shocked that the wifi did not work throughout the store. The coffee, like Raleys, is overpriced. Some menu items are actually more expensive than that of Starbucks. This location is a good place for a grab and go, but not for a sit down. read more

I'm a frequent Peet's coffee consumer. When all the other stores closed (cough Starbucks cough) Peet's stayed open. It was a bright spot during Covid shut downs. I know they had trouble with employees during that time but you know what? Those that showed up, every day, so we could have coffee and Tea and a little normalcy are Hero's. I was reading some reviews and honestly, some are pretty petty. If "Becky" didn't work here, you would not be getting your "special" coffee, Barbie! Sometimes she's the only one who shows up so maybe you outta put your kindness goggles on and say Thank you and consider what all these people have been through so we could have a drink! They did not stay home! They stocked shelves and manned registers so we could have what we needed while we got paid to stay home. I for one, am grateful. read more

Been going to this coffee place regularly and every single time they are getting the order wrong. It's either add whip cream when we say no whip cream, large size order when we say small, or the worst is not decaf when we say decaf. You have to understand that some of us have HEALTH problems and we need to drink decaf and if you cannot HONOR that then we cannot trust you or buy from you. I even confirm my order when I received them and they just lie through their teeth. Completely unacceptable! read more

My matcha drink tasted like water and she tells me that's the first time someone has ever told her that. Congratulations i am your first! Sorry but you can't fool someone who loves matcha. All the other people probably have no clue how matcha is supposed to taste like. Guys go to euro star cafe near rite aid to learn the true taste of matcha. The lady asked me and my mom if we had lunch cause maybe our tastebuds are messed up. Don't ever question my tastebuds especially when it comes to matcha. This is a Peet's inside of a Raleys supermarket. They have a lot of seating, including bar stools, leather chairs and round tables, as well as five outlets available for people who want to get work done. It isn't quiet because it is inside of a supermarket. This Peet's also will not accept Peet's cards because it is not an individual store. read more

I like Peet's coffee. But for some reason, I'm not so fond with employees there. Someday, they are friendly, somedays not so much. When they made my drinks wrong, I brought it back and the lady that made it told me " what's wrong with it ?" I told it wasn't right it's too thick and extremely sweet for some reason. She told me "I see nothing is wrong with it" geeze lady, I drink the same drink everyday, I know how it taste like... And they put way too much ice, 3 sips of drink, it will gone like that. Predictable and always better than Starbucks according to my taste buds. I did not find this location on my first pass then came back around and was able to figure it out and go get what I wanted. It was as good as I remembered it being, as good as I hoped it would be, and I thoroughly enjoyed it all. Still had to stop by a Starbucks to get a coffee for my wife who does not agree with me as to what good coffee actually is, so we each had our preference and we still manage to get along. read more

Located inside and staffed by Raley's, this Peet's has free internet, is a comfortable place for small meetings and, like I said, is staffed by great Raley's folks. The coffee and other beverages are excellent and the baked goods, while limited, are good, too. read more

I went in to order a Large iced egg nog latte and the person who rang me up was hella rude! I believe her name started with an S. When I asked for my receipt she gave me attitude.
