Today me and my girlfriend went to Beard Papa's and we got one Cookie Butter Cream Puff and a Strawberry Lemonade. The Cream Puff was so fresh and tasted amazing (we ate it pretty fast lol!) and we finished are lemonade. The owner saw that and gave us a free refill and a water! Which were amazing and he was so kind! If you want a nice cozy spot to chill and enjoy a Cream Puff and a lemonade or more this is 100% the place to go! 10/10 Service, 10/10 Food, and the environment was so nice. read more

Stopped by a couple times for the puffs and a boba tea. I like this place but I wish they would have a public restroom for customers. They have one but it's in the back, and I can see why it's hard for customers to use that one b/c you'd have to cross through the kitchen and doesn't seem like a good idea to have foot traffic through there. I love these cream puffs but man they are expensive here! The vanilla filling is the best. Very creamy and rich. These cream puffs haven't changed ever since I was introduced to them back in 2010. The outer shell, puff, is very light and not too thick to bite through. As mentioned these are the best I can find in the area. There's a bakery in Hawaii that does cream puffs and those are the best hands down but if you don't live in Hawaii, these are 2nd best. My only gripe is the prices. I bought a 12 pack over the weekend and paid $50! I immediately had buyers remorse lol. The staff was friendly enough and served me my cream puffs in a timely manner so no complaints there. Stopped in for the first time last weekend. Never have been in a beard Papa's location but the visual posters on the windows lured me in. The duo behind the counter I assume the owners, were very accommodating and helpful explaining the different options. I wanted to try everything but settled with an cookies and cream Puff with ube filling and a s'mores puff with original vanilla cream. The lady behind the counter let us taste the creams before we made our final decisions. Excellent customer service, fresh food, lots of options and a clean dining room. The cream in both puffs with excellent, light sweetness not too heavy and made for a fun treat. It is downtown Tracy so parking maybe a hassle, but it's worth stopping by. Cream Puffs: *Dubai Chocolate Shell x2: vanilla & chocolate filling *Matcha Shell + Vanilla *Ube Shell + Ube *Creme Brûlée Shell + Vanilla *Plain Shell + Vanilla The vanilla custard filling is a little sweet for me now but I liked the chocolate! Not too dark or rich. Both were creamy and held up well. The Dubai shell is dipped in chocolate coating and topped with pistachio pieces and crispy kataifi (shredded phyllo dough). I really liked this with the chocolate custard filling. My dad enjoyed the ube white chocolate shell filled with ube custard, not too sweet. They also have mini puffs! Six pieces per order, mix & match custard filling flavors. Not limited to puffs, they offer Korean shaved ice and milk tea/fruit tea drinks as well. Service was pretty good; they have nice staff. Oh Piggy. Flavorful authentic vanilla bean filling with a non soggy shell and a bit of a crunch to the chocolate covered goodness. Perfectly toasted marshmallows on top. I'm seriously searching Zillow to see if there is a reasonably priced home very nearby so that I could always be within walking distance. Wonderful dining area. Big luxury seat that my kitty would make himself home in. Ridiculously comfortable looking. When compared to the Castro Valley location I really admire all the little personal touches here. A massive air purification system had me swooning. Interior air quality couldn't have been better. Often times bakeries have a stuffy feeling to them but not here. It was Starbucks quality air. Pleasant to the nose and you could tell this industrial sized system was tirelessly scrubbing all the air and many many cubic feet per minute. A perfect experience. I love a bakery that does one thing and does that one thing better than anybody else. A must try if you love eclairs! I haven't had Beard Papas in years since I went to their SF location. It was as amazing as I remembered! I got the Ube, chocolate, smores and crème brûlée. Don't ask me which was my favorite because I'll say all 4. It does have a LOT of filling in my opinion, but some may prefer that. I scraped off a good amount just because of preference. The fillings are vanilla, chocolate or ube custard. They also now offer a variety of drinks and shaved ice desserts. They also have the Dubai chocolate. So happy to see a Beard Papa's in Tracy--never thought I'd see the day! I used to always stop by the one off Powell Street near the BART station in San Francisco, so having one close to home now is amazing. The customer service here is top-notch--super friendly, kind, and welcoming. The cream puffs are just as fresh and delicious as I remember. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area! We walked by on a Sunday late afternoon and it was empty inside. It was extremely clean with cutest little decor. Plenty seating available inside. The service was GREAT!!!! We didn't know it was a buy one get one original free and upon check out she was nice enough to let us know and gave us that discount without even knowing! Super honest and kind. It definitely is pricey for individual pastry average $4.50 for one, it's also veryyyyy messy as the first. I've been in to Beard Papa's a couple of times now and my top to favorites are the Oreo one with the vanilla custard and the strawberry one with the strawberry cheesecake custard! We recently were made aware of Beard Papa's and decided to try them out this week. What a gem of an addition to Tracy! We took the short drive from Manteca and found parking just in front of their location. The decor is nice and very colorful. We were promptly greeted and ordered immediately. Don't be fooled, this may be a cream puff place, but they have a variety of options to choose from! A flavor everyone in the family will enjoy! They'll even do catering for large events! I ordered the strawberry cream puff with cream cheese filling and my wife ordered the crème brûlée cream puff. Both of them were absolutely incredible! This place is so good and another yelper said it reminded them of cream puffs from Hawaii, and I have to agree. The inside is so cute and my child, myself, and my mom loved eating our treats inside. There was no weird smell so that's great, it seems like they were able to address that. The service was nice too and we were about to ask for cups of water and the owner's husband(?) came by our table and brought us some! It was like he was reading our minds! I was lucky today and passed by & they were open (soft opening!) They currently have the vanilla custard filling with your choice of original, green tea (matcha) or chocolate... I had to get all 3! The menu appears to have other flavors which they said would be rotated as monthly specials! How exciting!! All of the flavors I tasted today were delicious, my personal favorite being the matcha! They were so fresh the cream came out with every bite! I love that they make the cream with real vanilla bean! You can really taste it! I was in the area about two weeks ago for a hair appointment. I decided to stop by Beard Papa's for some puffs. The first thing that was a slap to my face was a scent in the facility. I don't even know how to describe it, but it's not pleasant. It smells almost rotten. Maybe old pipes? I'm not sure. But luckily I was the only one there so I was able to get my order fast. The puffs are simply amazing. Nice crunchy exterior with a sweet rich creamy vanilla bean filling. Grab a lot of napkins cuz it's a messy eat. Come for the puffs but maybe eat them outside. This place has the most disgusting smell I have ever witnessed at a place that sells food or drink. I came out smelling like the place. I don't understand how someone can work an 8 hour shift in there and not think anything is wrong with the smell. It was like stale rotten sewage. Is the kitchen dirty? Is the bathroom not clean? Tracy just got an additional sweet treat resort! I grew up eating beard papas and it's such a trek to drive all the way to Milpitas or Cupertino for a fix. They just opened up so they only have Chocolate, Matcha, Cookies and Cream and Vanilla shelled cream puffs and only custard for fillings. I hope down the road they add their other flavors.
